Little place, little burgers

Little place, little burgers
Nothing special. $3.50 for a double cheeseburger that I could pay .99 cents for at McDonalds.

If you know what sliders are, these are the best. The meat is fresh, never frozen; the onions thin so they brown up just right. Fries are hot, thin and just crispy enough. If you don't know what sliders are, where have you been?! Small (3 for a moderate appetite, 2 for a smaller one) fast grilled burgers, usually w cheese, grilled onions and toppings. These are not thick, can't get your hands around them burgers but they do make a delicious, fast meal at lunch or after a night on the town.

Dirty place. The dishes get scrubbed right in front of you as you're eating, just on the other side of the counter, in full view. There is a constant smell of dishes and detergent.
Sliders are okay, not great by any means. There are better places in the area to get your slider fix.
The place may look interesting from the outside, and may have a long history, the way it is right now there is simply no reason to walk inside.

This was my first time trying this restaurant, I ordered a cheeseburger. There was no cheese and probably a teaspoon of burger. Absolutely absurd that they think that is enough food for the price. But that explains all the signs; 'so- and- so' ate 50 burgers!

A blast from the past! Classic white and brushed metal greasy spoon specializing in old fashioned thin grilled burgers with chopped grilled onions on white buns mmm mmm good! (Pickle chips on the side.) Great thin fries. Also serves breakfast. Boomers love it, actually, so do all age groups! A Birmingham and Woodward Dream Cruise classic. Go there before its gone!! Downside: limited parking.

Old school greasy burgers ( sliders) with fries or onion rings. My mouth waters just thinking of the place. Always busy for lunch, dinner and night crowds. It seems to have a constant flow of customers.

They have a chef making all the burgers by himself. There is a counter with stools and a whole lot of people who seem to be excitedly waiting for their food. In the fifteen years I have been in the area I know of no one who is not enamored with the place.

Staff is great, friendly and pay attention to the customers. Whoever hires and trains does a good job.

This is a place to pick up food, not eat in. It's not meant t be a sit down restaurant. It is part of the charm. You will never be disappointed going to Hunter House.

Hunter House is one of those classic Detroit slider diners. White box exterior, stainless 1960's style interior. Maybe you've seen a few around, Brays, Telway, Comet. Their "sliders" are on par when it comes to taste compared to other acts in town, but their prices are up there. For the cost of a single slider at Hunters you can have FOUR at Telway or Brays. Lets face it, nothing is cheap in Birmingham and Hunters is no exception. When you have a craving, nothing but a onion covered slider will do, but if they were a little cheaper, maybe it would be more a weekly ritual rather than a once in a blue moon experience.

I found the taste of the burgers unique but nothing special. I've tried the 2 times and found them to be dry and poor quality meat. There is several others around town that have sliders that are far better (Telway-OK, Bates-the best).

Hunter House in Birmingham, Michigan is a superb delicacy. A classic American slider burger joint that has charm, a unique character & atmosphere has some of the best sliders you'll find anywhere! They've been in business for decades and have a very dedicated local following for a very good reason! Decorated in a very clever manner. And the food is absolutely delicious!

Best sliders around in an iconic building/location. Even Mick Jagger thinks these are the best sliders there are. If you're up for it, try to get your name on the wall by eating an outrageous amount of them.
