Just come here. Don't order anything less than a double burger, and PLEASE don't substitute or pick anything off until you've tried it.

Oh, and bring a different shirt to change into after you're done eating, or else everybody else will know where you've been because you smell like onions. Or don't, and just deal with it.

Archetypal greasy spoon joint, with cozy atmosphere, friendly staff, tasty burgers and hot dogs and fries, and reasonable prices. The bacon was a bit too crunchy for my liking, though, and the chocolate shake was like a less-sweet frosty. Still, makes for a tasty meal overall.

This was a random pick of restaurants with a dine in option. This place definitely did not disappoint! Excellent burgers, fries and milkshakes. Has a fun little burger shack vibe to it. Employees are polite and accommodating! Food doesn't take long to get after ordering. Definitely recommend trying this place.

I wish Google had a six star option!! Hunter House is AMAZING!!! This is a small white pillbox building on Woodward Avenue in Birmingham, Michigan. This looks just like it did in the 50's. The lunch counter is worn from years of use. The flat top grill puts out the most amazing sliders you will ever have. Perfectly caramelized onions are smashed into each patty. Melted classic American cheese completes the package.I went for two triples. They are three patties to a quarter pound. I could have easily eaten another dozen!! This is the one and only place I would rank as highly as Blimpie burger in Ann Arbor. You need to go here!!! Then you will want to go back again!!

My fiance, our little boy, and I dined in yesterday. As soon as we walked in the atmosphere was uninviting seemed as though we were the focal point. But we brushed it off and ordered anyways. After our order was up there was a form of miscommunication between myself and the young man who gave us our food something very minor. But he then proceeded to laugh and talk loudly with his co-workers on how confused he was about what I was saying instead of communicating with me his confusion. He walked off so quickly any clarification was impossible. Still no biggie to us. But as we sat and ate our food i began to notice the employees giving us odd and as crazy as it sounds judgemental looks. There was an older man behind the counter who seemed to be a manager or possibly the owner, who just starred at us with his arms folded and his face frowned up for the majority of our time there. I am never one to pull a race card and I believe this may have been a combination of perception as well but we are in fact African American. This is Birmingham an upscale community. We were not dressed up we do not have a fancy car. My fiance is a traveling brick layer so we literally just got off the highway from nearly an 8 hour drive. So apperance wasnt the greatest. And i felt we were treated and judged because of this. I felt we were looked down upon. And thats just not acceptable our money is just as good as anyone elses not to mention we paid 24.00 dollars for 3 sliders a chilli cheese fry and a regular fry, all we wanted was a good burger, a nice atmosphere, and experience. We got a good burger, so good i ordered one to go but that's all. It just goes to show though, no matter the quality of food, a customer's experience is what makes that customer come back. And for a business that has been in business for over 60 years you would think they would ensure superb customer service always. I love Birmingham my godmother stayed there for over a decade, Panera Bread, Leo's, Pita Cafe, Brooklyn Pizza, Max and Erma's all the resturants i love where i've gotten superb customer service and passed up to try a new place. This just really saddens me. As diverse as Birmingham has become within the last decade I would of never expected this. But its become clear to me that some people may not like this diversity, because of their predetermined outlook on "our" people. Sad...just sad, I will never step foot in this place again.

I've always driven by, however I never stopped. Today I did. It's a very unique experience with the way the place is decorated. I tried something simple just a cheeseburger. But it was so much more. A taste you can't get anywhere else. Deffenetly worth the time.

I have had many a good Cheeseburgers here with friends, co-workers, and family. They have yet again upped their game this year under difficult circumstances. I ordered. 10 minutes. Went into pickup 10 minutes later and the bag was being packed with dinner. Payed the wonderful server. Gosh - dinner was so good. Thank you. You all make it look so easy.

Hunter House does sliders right. I prefer the double cheeseburger. It has enough meat to fill you up with a side of tots, but not leave you stuffed. The grilled onions are never burnt, and the cheese is melted into the onions and meat to give a delightful taste, add some pickles for a lovely crunch. There is a reason this was voted Michigan's #1 Burger.

I decided to try Hunter House Because of their good Reviews and also what my coworkers had to say about this place. Also it was a bonus the place was located very close to my workplace. I placed an order over the phone and went to pick up my order. Once I entered the restaurant instantly all eyes were on me and I could feel I was unwanted here. Customers wouldn t stop looking at me as I paid for my order and once I left out of the restaurant. It Was like I entered a no colored people are welcomed zone. As I proceeded to leave back to my work place I tried to ignore the feeling and environment I just encountered to enjoy my food. I sat down to eat my food and automatically notice the errors with my meal I paid for extra onions on my chili cheese fries and also their was no patty on my burgers even though I enjoyed my meal I could understand what happen today with my presents being at this establishment and know that I will never come back to a place where I feel unwanted and also not get what I paid for. For a disclaimer I just wanted to say this post was not meant to be rude or nasty the food was all around attain it was just a very uncomfortable situation and I would ve loved to received everything I paid for with my meal.

Great food! Wasn't hard to find, had plenty of space and great service. Burgers are all sliders. And they offer different sizes to meet your specific desires. Went there with my wife for a quick bite to eat for dinner. Service was fast. Employees were friendly and willing to make the experience right for you. Suggest grabbing a bite here when in the area. They also do pickup if you want to call ahead.

Wow! I went here in August where I place a large to go order. My order was packaged improperly causing all the burgers to stick together. I called the manager who was very apologetic and told me next time I was in town to give them a call and they would comp my order. I called today and the manager on duty today stated that there was no way a manager would say that and there is a 48 hour return policy. He insinuated that I was lying and said he was sorry if somebody misrepresented themselves. I am stunned that this is way they would want to do business.
