Hughes Group Review

I own a rental home in Olympia WA and the grounds had not been maintained in over 4 years. The tenant vacated and I am putting the home on the market for sale. I hired Hughes Group and James Hall to come in and re-landscape the property. James and his team came out and knocked the job out in a little over two days. This was an extensive project including tree trimming, planting flowers, spreading bark, repairing rock retaining walls, laying rock in a driveway, edging, etc. due to the terrain, there were some areas that could not even be accessed by wheelbarrow and bark had to be hauled in 5 gal buckets up the hill. I had a bad deer problem on the property with the animals eating all the plants and shrubbery. James came up with the idea to string high test fishing line around the perimeter of the property. Very humane and safe way to keep the animals out of the yard. haven't seen a deer since! Doubt many landscapers would have come up with that idea. Bottom line is, if you are considering landscape work at your home or commercial property, I would strongly urge you to give James Hall and the Hughes group a shot at your business. You won't be disappointed!

I began working here 19 Aug 20. At first because, with the world wide Covid19 pandemic and the negative financial impact that as a result, left myself, many people, families, businesses, small and large feeling uncertain and in a in a state of financial crisis, I needed to supplement my income. However, as I began the process of "On The Job Training" I became aware of the dedication, pride and the importance and standards with which the Hughes Group holds themselves to, in doing their part in providing services for preventing and educating the public in combatting against the the spred of the Corona virus as we navigate our way through these unfortunate and uncertain times. So, (forgive the long wind lol) I am thankful and proud to be Team Member of Hughes Group. That and I think the most rewarding thing of all is good it makes my spirit feel each day when a customer and/or client stops me and genuinely and a couple of times emotionally, expressed their gratitude and apprciation to the company as a whole as well as each team member respectfully, for keeping things sanitized, clean and safe to the public. At the end of the day, it gives me peace of mind

I worked for this company, they have very poor and unprofessional management skills, My sight lead at the Durham NC VA Hospital. Joseph Stiff was very misleading and Unprofessional he would Petray to be your friend and would gossip amongst coworkers, he would show coworkers each other write ups, he would get a lot of confusion and conflict started among coworkers, if you talk to higher managers such as Chris Houghes he refuses to listen, they have very little supplies, we would often have to borrow supplies from va house keeping, such as tissue paper, Disinfectant cleaner..etc.. they have very high turnovers with staff in Washington at the main office they never keep anyone employed long with HR, secretary s, and supervisors , I wouldn t recommend this company Bad business!!

My wife loves her job here. Military friendly, minority owned business with potential for growth.
