This is Lulu. I am a dog. I love living at Cityville. They have the best bark park. I can wrestle all my doggo friends and poop in comfort. I am very excited for Hubbell Realty Company to open their new bridge to Gray s Lake, so I can wrestle new doggos and hopefully swim. I would give Hubbell two thumbs up but I don t have thumbs. My dad is excited for the dog washing station to open, but I hate baths. Please reconsider. Thanks.

Bad quality. VERY unprofessional. Broken glass on sidewalk and my dog stepped on it. Rocket transfer manager sucks and can t do his job. Upper management doesn t care about anything. Glad I will not be living here much longer :-)
I have lived at the 1440 Lofts for nearly 2 years, of that 1 entire year I had a hole in my ceiling with a cement rock coming thru and pieces falling. I requested this be fixed and it took a whole year to address it. I recently requested my lease be terminated due to COVID and they are forcing me to pay 2 months rent. When I asked them to work with me on this the leasing agency Stephanie Cozad told me if I didn't pay they would send me to collections. Stephanie also told me the corporate office was closed and therefor she was the only person who could handle this. DO NOT RENT HERE!!!!
Broadway Heights did a great job of making our decision to not renew our lease so easy. They had a complete lack of urgency, professionalism and communication regarding multiple matters. They tried to tell us AFTER we signed our lease that More
Jacob Cordinas and Jonathan Parra thank you so very much for all your work you did my apartment ( Apt. #31 ) today and I appreciate it a lot !!! You re the best of the best and very nice, sweet very kind and helpful. And also I would like to thanks Kim the manager and Travis there are also always doing wonderful job very nice very sweet very kind !!! I cannot say enough how happy and lucky we re to leave this place I was reading some comments that s not true the maintenance they are doing wonderful job they are so nice !!! when I asked to take your shoes off they taking his shoes off when they coming inside my apartment I am very happy about that !!! They coming for one work order then I asked them for two or three more work which is not in the order that they never say no to me and they just doing their job and I am very happy about it
Hubbel does not keep its property mowed. We have made three calls to have the lot next to us mowed. Weeds are up to 3 feet tall and in seed. We have to request that this for sale lot be mowed each time. More than frustrating, and we do not appreciate all the weed seeds blowing into our lawn! I wouldn't even give them 1 star.
Writing in review of Hubbell and their HR department/hiring processes. I went through three interviews--a phone interview, a one-on-one on-site interview, and finally, a group interview on-site. This seemed a bit excessive for an entry job, but I figured they were simply being thorough. After several hours spent preparing, traveling to and from and speaking with various people at Hubbell, I was greeted with silence in return for my efforts. Only after several days did I finally follow up with a voicemail, inquiring for an update with this position. Many days even after that, I received an email explaining they were not sure when they'd be hiring for this position and that "internal issues" had come up and that "let's face it, we all have bills to pay". They wouldn't advise I wait around to hear back on this position. After speaking with a co-worker that had applied with them several months prior, she explained she'd been through the exact same three-ring circus, only to receive this email once SHE followed up after days of silence. I am stunned by the unprofessional way they went about telling me they'd gone with another candidate--or rather, the way they said anything BUT that, but rather made excuses that are apparently their standard template for telling a potential employee they'd chosen someone else.
Applier beware of your time being absolutely wasted.
I've lived at Hubbell communities for close to five years now and I've had nothing but good experiences. My first apartment when I was 19 was at Somerset on the Southside and the office staff at the time was nothing but kind and helpful at every turn. I now live with my fiance at Cityville on 9th and my experience could not be any better. Cityville is my go to recommended place for anyone who asks me where a good place to live in Des Moines is. I plan on staying at Cityville until my fiance and I purchase a home. Would highly recommend to anyone interested.
I currently live at a downtown property and have lived here for 2 years. Hubbell does a great job at keeping our property clean! They always keep us updated on what is going on in the community with monthly news letters. I love the fact that they have social events monthly and how creative they all are. I use our rooftop patio all the time to grill out with friends and our community room for family events! Hubbell knocks it out of the park with their amenities!
My husband and I rented through Hubbell for about 3 years. We always felt like management was friendly, efficient, and laid back. They do their best to keep the properties clean and up to date. We spent time are 92 West and Meadowlark and both were great!
I have lived pretty peacefully at Meadowlark for 3.5 years now. My kids and I love our two bedroom home even if it s on the 3rd floor. Lol I try to keep their noise level down for the neighbor below us. Management changes a lot but I have not had any major issues. They respond fairly promptly to my email communication.
Just received our final balance after moving out from 92 West. We have been charged for new carpet and have a $90 charge for saying it was excessively dirty, The new drywall charges made sense, but we could not believe the carpet and cleaning charges because we ASKED if we should hire professional carpet cleaning, and they said NO. The carpet was in bad shape when we moved in and we documented that. It said the carpet had dog urine stains, and our dog actually never peed on that carpet. We thoroughly cleaned the place when we moved out, so I m not sure how they can say it was excessively dirty. It s so frustrating when we tried to work with the complex beforehand by asking if we needed to purchase professional carpet cleaning, AND we documented the during move-in documentation, and we still got charged. We liked the apartment complex itself, but would not recommend living under Hubbell Realty.
I live at at Hubbell property and I have nothing but great things to say about them. Things are always taken care of quickly and it's an overall great experience. I recommend Hubbell Realty to everyone!
I have lived at Meadowlark Place, a Hubbell Realty company in Grimes for a year and an a half now and we have been very happy here. The apartments are spacious with modern floor plans and full size washer/dryer in each unit. The amenities are great when you have children and the neighbors are friendly. Great place to live!
the property at 14Forty lofts itself looks nice that is until you start having water coming in your apartment and call maintenance to fix it and they tell you there is nothing they can do. I woke up to rain flooding my apartment during a storm and down an electric outlet. Additionally, I had a massive hole in my ceiling with concrete falling thru that took management over a year to respond too. The current property manager Stephanie Cozad is a NIGHTMARE to deal with. She is extremely rude and unprofessional. When my partner lost his job to COVID she told us unless we paid two months rent to break the lease they would take us to collections. DO NOT RENT HERE
Stay far away from these crooks. I live in Riverwoods area and pay homeowners association fees but nothing in the neighbor hood gets taken care of. biggest scam ever.
We paid our rent on time if not early every month and kept our apartment clean other than the roaches that kept sneaking in @ Broadway heights..Lived here for 3 years, cleaned our own driveways out every winter (very iffy snow removal crew) Decided to move out this year and buy our own place and was promised at our final walk through that everything looked good and we would get a full refund of our Deposit(I took pictures of everything) and will be contacting corporate over the fact we did NOT receive a full return of refund but they now say that they are keeping over $200.00 for a full paint of the apartment and later say we painted and that's why we kept your money ...But we never had that conversation and the old maintence man that they fired id the reason their paint don't match..NOT US!! we should not have to pay for his mistakes nor pay for a paint job ..That's just not right and if corporate don't fix my refund ill be contacting my attorney
Do NOT rent from these people! My experience was good until now. I have lived in West Lake Condos since last October with my 3 cats. When Hubbell bought the building they knew that and had me sign a lease with them until my original lease was up, which is 5/31/17. Today they told me that I have to get rid of a cat or move! Really??? So get rid of one of my treasured pets or lose my home?!?! Does that seem right? I am extremely disappointed but i now understand why I only see people moving out. Maybe Hubbell has lost touch with the fact that they are dealing with people's homes and lives ... we aren't just a rent payment. Shame on you!
Not a good experience all around. Moved to another building to avoid infestation of roaches and ran into the same problem in the new building. I'm afraid to ruffle any feathers at this point to maintain a great rental history. I can tell management is getting annoyed with me for reporting the same problems. I don't know what else to do. I just signed mylease today I just want to leave. My car has been burglarized and it's been an absolute nightmare. I wish I would have never laid eyes on theses apartments. Due to covid it has been just treacherous.
I currently live in the Cedarbrooke apartments and when I first moved into the apartments over a year ago, I had no complaints. Now that a new manager and maintenance crew has came in, I have found the apartment complex in a very different state. A few weeks ago, I let the manager know that we had a leaking ceiling and I was advised that they would reach out and it would be taken care of and it never was. I then came home from work one day to find my floor and counter top full of water. Not only that my laptop was also destroyed due to the water running down the side of the countertop. I let the manager know what was going on and how my laptop was completely ruined and she said that when she contacted their only vendor to fix the roof, he had not responded and that he was hard to get ahold of. While I see why that could be an issue, I also know that other precautions could have been taken to prevent further damage. The next morning, I receive an email not a phone call of her asking me if I needed maintenance to clean up anything in the apartment due to the leak in the roof. Well you would think she would have had someone over there the night before but she did not. Do not worry I cleaned up the water myself. After the frustration of dealing with the manager, i asked a couple of my neighbors if they had any issues with the management. I had one neighbor tell me that she is getting ready to move and paid the full months rent on her apartment and that her move out date is on the 27th of this month. Guess what, the manager had the nerve to call and ask her if she could be out by the 17th, because her new renters for the apartment want to be moved in before the 27th. So my neighbor said so will I get my last months rent prorated, since you want the keys in by the 17th and the manager says no we can not refund that back to you, but it would be great if we can have the keys on the 17th instead of the 27th. Even though my neighbor has paid for rent until the 27th. I'm sorry but I have lived in many states and many apartments and never had to deal with stuff like this with any company. This is been ridiculous and very stressful.
Spacious layout, modern, and great communication between landlord and tenant! I ve been here for 2 years and this is the first place in the last 8 years that I ve resigned a leAse at!
My husband and I live at Autumn Ridge and the love the community. We have a twelve year old that loves all of the monthly free events on site. We also have a newborn and love how quite the apartments are for her when she is sleeping.
I have lived at the Meadowlark property for about 6 months with my daughter and we love it! The amenities are great and maintenance is quick. We have some great neighbors and Kaitlin in the office is super friendly! Our apartment is very spacious and I love having a washer and dryer in our unit! We also love the parties and get togethers hosted by the office staff! My daughter has not quit talking about the free ice cream we had a couple months ago. It s very appreciated!

We live in a Hubbell-owned and -operated HOA, and they are literally the worst management company we have had to deal with in our long history of property managements and HOAs. They will take months to take any action on an issue, and usually they will just ignore you and never do anything to help. Countless times they have violated their own bylaws and not enforced their own rules (this is completely illegal, by the way). I've finally had my last straw and am currently considering my options for a more permanent solution to the problem that is Hubbell.
I lived at a Hubbell Apartment Community in Clive and have thoroughly enjoyed my time so far. The staff at Stonegate Crossing is always so helpful and kind. They made my move in process incredibly easy. They are always keeping residents up to date with emails and door postings regarding community information. I feel safe and happy in my home at Stonegate. I highly recommend any Hubbell community to my friends and family when they are making a move!
I have been living at Hubbell properties for the past 3 years and it has been great! Management is friendly and prompt when addressing our needs, and the maintenance team is very courteous and professional.
I have lived in the Grimes complex for almost a year. The locked complexes are what I was looking for, I like that you have to have a key to enter the building. Hubbell comes in and cleans the carpets regularly in halls and paints and repairs walls as well. They do regular inspections and spraying for pests. They have always responded promptly to any questions!! Thank you
I have lived in a Hubble apartment for almost a year now. I have had the best customer service living here! The staff is so nice and wonderful! Will highly recommend to anyone!
Never try to apply for their income restricted properties. In pretty sure its just a big scam and costed us $140 in app fees for two different places only to be turned down twice (my boyfriend had an open court case) the first time they told us that his open case wouldn't be a big deal but then we got rejected and told that we would have to wait 6 months to re apply.. Ok so fast forward two months after the case was just dismissed (we had papers stating the whole this was dismissed) so he asked to be put back on (ok so they lied and then said the could take us??) hm.. But the place we applied for was full so we applied elsewhere within the company and we had all our papers ready and they still said (after we paid them our app fee $70) that having the official dismissal documents wasnt going to cut it and we never got a call back. Im pretty sure they were just out for the money. But its ok we had lovely people from the des moines building get us a place. (Washer and dryer in the unit! And beautiful rooftop deck) and best of all they took care of everything for us. We told them about the case and they said that what we had was perfect and they waived our application fee. Really good people there and in the heart if Des Moines. Im not ever going to apply for a hubbel reality apartment or buy from them. They just don't seem organized or something.. Idk and they didn't seem as friendly or professional as the people I rent from now.
Management is a joke. I suggest that nobody lease with Autumn Park or Hubbell Realty. They will lie and deceive you in order to get you to sign a lease and then charge ridiculous rates if you wish to renew. Our leasing agent told us she would contact us AT LEAST 2-3 months before ours expired to discuss renewing. That DID NOT happen and now they want us to pay outrageous rates to continue to reside here. We had maintenance issues a couple months ago and it took weeks to hear back from them, and then when we did, we got different stories from different "management" members when I asked what took so long.
A great place to live, if you want to clear your own parking space in the winter. But don't leave the complex, there is no assigned parking. The second you leave someone takes your spot. Need a handicap spot? You won't find those cleaned out either. Have a handicap placard? Most of the time, you can't park there, because the spot is taken by someone who doesn't have a placard or appropriate license plate. Call the office to complain, they suggest you call police. Call the police, they don't show up! Complain about the fact that you and your wife are clearing snow. The office will tell you that they will let maintenance know. Which i find confusing as the snow removal is subbed out to a contractor. Trust me you will pay a decent amount of money to live here and that responsibility does fall on your landlord, but they won't do anything about it, except once they did offer to lend my wife a shovel. My wife! A great place to live if you have a pet. They are pet friendly after all. Kid friendly? Sure. They have a concrete basketball court! It's a great place for your toddler to play. Playground? NO! Grassy areas? Yes. Kid friendly? NO! Watch your step. Feces everywhere. A great place to live if you want 24 hr maintenance. Just put in your request on a holiday. Wait for it. You will get a return call telling you that it's a holiday and maintenance has the day off. Oh, it gets better. You have a leak under your kitchen sink, can you check the connection and tighten it? We'll come back and check it once we return in 2 days. Don't hold your breath waiting for them. It's a great place to live if you want to know your neighbors business. Just remember, they will know your business as well. Walls and ceilings are paper thin. It's a great place to live if you enjoy the office making accusations suggesting your breaking rules. Such as, I once received a notice on my door and an email from the property manager suggesting that we had been smoking in our apt. The letter was a cure and quit notice. However, the email stated, you will be charged for any extra cleaning at the end of your lease. First of all, we don't smoke in our apt, so don't suggest that there would be extra cleaning. By suggesting that i would be charged for extra cleaning is to suggest that we have smoked in the apt. Secondly, the email stated, smoking is allowed on your deck or patio or 10ft from the bldg. It's a great place to live if you enjoy not once, but twice, the same accusation. Today's notice says, we have had complaints about cigarette smoke in the hallways. Please remember it's our policy that smoking is only allowed 10ft from the bldg. No big deal. Right? You'll find this notice on every door in the bldg. Wrong! Our door was the only one with this notice. Sorry, I don't appreciate being accused of doing wrong when I'm not. Add the fact that policies apparently changed around here and apparently were just supposed to know these things without being notified. It's a great place to live if you enjoy the smell of dog urine in the hallways. Oh wait, maybe it's cigarette smoke! None the less, if you enjoy neighbors who don't feel like taking their dogs outside at night, expect the urine smell in the hallways. On another note, during the winter often times you will find that the owner let their leashed pet outside. But the owner remains in the bldg. Expect feces on the sidewalk and dark yellow spots everywhere. At least until, I or my wife, your neighbor, gets out and clears the sidewalk for you. BTW, I look around the property and I see zero cigarette butt receptacles. That's right, smoking is only allowed 10ft from the bldg, but they offer no where for you to extinguish or dispose of said cigarette butts. It's a great place to live if you enjoy cigarette butts laying everywhere. Did I mention dog feces? But it gets better. Do you like trash? There is usually plenty of that lying around too. We have on occasion taken the kids outside to burn off some energy and walked around the complex picking up trash. Majority is near the play ground. LOL
We live in a property in Sioux Falls, SD! The staff is very attentive to our needs, the entire property is so very well maintained and the other residents are wonderful as well. We love living in a Hubbell property :)
I currently live at a Hubbell property in Sioux Falls, SD. Staff is always super friendly and willing to help fix any problems that may arise. I feel rent is very reasonable for the amenities provided.
Response to response: we are.. and we have been faced with going around in circles, unethical practices, and no one truly willing to work with us/just turned into my husband and I being called liars. I ve never lost a deposit or written a bad review. I worked in customer service for years before becoming a teacher, and I have never experienced less flat out not caring from a company/business in my life. And part of my job is motivating 8th graders everyday who would rather be anywhere else. We weren't asking a lot just answers and got a week of talking to everyone in the autumn ridge office and someone directly from Hubbell before feeling just utterly defeated and disgusted. I ve honestly never been treated so terribly by a business. And we have been told that there is nothing more we can do and I appreciate your feedback.
