Hey its free but you can't get inside. Personal residence. Not sure if there are open hours.
Hey its free but you can't get inside. Personal residence. Not sure if there are open hours.
It all started here. Garage legend on start up started here
There was nothing in particular but it was emotional
A private residence. If you saw a picture online not worth traveling.
If you a computer fan, you may want to visit BUT it's just another house in a residential neighborhood with a specially lit garage, not much to see.
A historical landmark. Birthplace of Silicon Valley.
It is the birthplace of Silicon Valley. If you like IT, it's a good idea to go.
You can actually the garage that symbols the start of Silicon Valley!
"The birthplace of Silicon Valley".
Quaint little house in the suburbs of Palo Alto. You'll miss it if you're not looking for it. Little to no foot traffic in the area.
Nothing special, just a landed house there with an explanation board. But the area is quite nice and harmony.
Ordered a HP OfficeJet Pro 8710. As soon as I installed the cartridges, I was prompted to remove and reinstall. I did so, following the prompts and diagrams to the letter. It then said the cartridges needed to be replaced. I tried calling HP customer service, only to discover that HP literally has no customer service line to call. Just a robot answering machine that prompts you to go to their website for technical support questions. I did so, and attempted to navigate all of the canned responses and FAQs, which was an incredible waste of time, as none of the troubleshooting solutions addressed the problem I had. I am left scratching my head with an expensive printer that I just bought, have never used, that doesn't work, with no recourse or help from the company that made it. HP apparently does not stand behind their own products. I guess this is what happens when a big company grows beyond the need for customer satisfaction. Customer service and company integrity fall by the wayside. I am a very unhappy customer.
Not sure if it opens randomly to the public but nice to see the birth place.
This is where it all started in Silicon Valley. Worth finding just for the historical significance.
Nice to see live, but the garage is still closed. The house is cleaned 1x a week, as it belongs to HP, which hosts parties for its executives at this location. Another curiosity is that the garage is intact with the creations left there. No one lives in the house.
Just a garage door but bears significant contribution to computing today. There is a small sign that describes it's relevance
Informative description of the Silicon Valley beginning.
There is only a small sign outside the house that states it is in the location of the garage and under national trust. Quite underwhelming. But worth visiting if you're in the area.
The birthplace of Silicon Valley, not much to see here since it is private property, but if you are in the area certainly swing by and take a look.
There is nothing much, it's a house with a garage. But there is enormous historical significance, for it was there that was born what is now the Silicon Valley.
Just a house and a sign that tells you why this place is considered the birthplace of Silicone valley
All started here. This is where the first Silicon Valley company was founded.
A must see for those of us who like Silicon Valley.
The garage is very well kept.
The Historical HP Garage, the birthplace of the silicon valley
The garage founded by Hewlett-Packard, which I took with me when I was sightseeing in Palo Alto. It was quietly in the middle of a high-class residential area, and I couldn't tell unless I was told.
I could only see it from the outside, but I wondered if Hewlett-Packard was made from a small garage of about 5 tatami mats. Google and Apple are similarly companies made from garages. A huge company is born from a small garage. I'm glad I was able to go to the birthplace.
The house, which was also used as an office, was bought by Hewlett-Packard Company and was maintained by a caretaker, but he explained that he lived nearby.
A garage that really stands quietly. It was also a mysterious space.
Historical place, in the technological era, do not miss it.
Historic place. However, it was a little sloppy ...
The birth place of silicon valley. Bit hard to locate.
Expect nothing more than a sign in front of a house that history says would have been where the Silicon Valley began. If you are around, pass by and take a photo. If you're far away, I don't think it's worth the time
Must visit place.. as it's a legendary place.. how HP started. Since I'm from IT field.. it means a lot.
Birthplace of "Silicon Valley", the place is very well maintained, you should visit here if you're interested with the history of Silicon Valley.
I'm not a tech person by any means but I'm a lover of history. An experience to see if you are a tech fan or just a history enthusiasts.
There is no dedicated parking lot, so park appropriately around the available parking area. Hewlett-Packard Company was founded, but there is nothing special about a sign.
It is ultimately just a garage. But it's still cool to see if you are into the history of it. There is a plaque in the front.
You do not see inside but it's nice to see where they started
Where Silicon Valley started, HP and Disney. Great combination. The rest is history.
The birth of Silicon Valley. So much history in this one spot.
It's just a plaque and a private house. Not much to see.
Seeing one of the garages the led to where we are today with technology is worth the quick drive by if you are in the area.
Not much more than a sign. And the sign isn't very detailed - you can read more on the Wikipedia page, honestly. Plus, the actual garage is good behind a six foot sign. My recommendation? Bring a couple ladders and a couple friends that don't mind you getting on their shoulders.
I WOULD GIVE ZERO STAR IF I COULD.
They refuse the let me print a black and white document after I spend $50 to replace black ink!!!!!! They ask me to spend $150 more for color ink before I can print black and white documents.
Nice place to visit from outside. Must see place while you are in Silicon Valley
I visited this out of interest, but don't expect to see anything like a museum, it's just a house in a posh residential area. Worth a visit if you are interested in covering historic places.
Best garage I've seen all week. Too bad there was no gift shop, I need more fridge magnets.
Place with gigantic relevance for the development of new technologies
It is very interesting house, and historical place.
Closed place for visitation, you can just take out cute outside the property and do not go inside to see the garage up close but it is worth taking a walk to visit the place considered the cradle of Silicon Valley.
Very cool little piece of history in Silicon Valley. It is now someone's private residence but it is well kept and has a historical sign to see.
The birthplace of Silicon Valley. But nothing special, just a normal house, and can not enter. There are street parking spaces. Quiet and peaceful neighbors.
It was the start of HP's garage, where Silicon Valley myth began. You can not get inside and you can see your house and garage outside. Not much different from other houses in the neighborhood, ordinary. You can park in a quiet neighborhood and on the road. It is not a place to visit, but it is a place to commemorate if you are nearby.
Birthplace of the Legend and Place where dreams come true
It s fabulous to see the place where Hewlett-Packard and Silicon Valley started.
The house is beautiful and very well kept.
