I felt magic the first time I visited Howl. The creative and collective energy is wonderful and invaluable for any artist. The owner is very helpful, friendly, & accommodating. the rooms, while varied in size & not completely perfect, are charming and reasonably priced even when you re a starving artist. Aside from that, it s great having the liberty to personalize your creative space and I ve found the other people there to be good hearted and rad. Yes, it s not ritzy but, you can t have an entire section of the building for up and coming bands named Metal Alley without a little roughness around the edges. That freedom of expression allows you as an artist / musician to push boundaries and think outside of the box. I ve always felt it to be an inclusive space and a safe space where not only the owner but, the fellow creative types are nothing but welcoming and kind.

I couldn't imagine having a more inclusive, safe, and interesting place to hold rehearsals in the Ithaca area! A quick walk down the hallways on your own will speak to this, be prepared to hear, and meet musicians and artists of all styles and mediums working on their craft. From hard bop to bluegrass to extreme metal, this place is filled to the brim with interesting people sharing a common goal- practicing their craft. Communal spaces are always cared for, and rooms are always spacious enough to hold whatever gear you may have. Great job Howl Studios!

Been rehearsing here for years. Inclusive and safe space to create among non-intrusive supportive folks. The manager is friendly and very responsive. I can highly recommend any artist or band looking for a space in ithaca area to consider the rooms at Howl Studios; very reasonable rates. Also key: warm in winter and cool in the summer. Plus the community kitchen/lounge space is top notch, to boot!

Great time at Howl Studios. An excellent place for any artist or musician who wishes for affordable rehearsal space. The festival was pretty awesome too!

Nice to have a rehearsal space in Ithaca, but the spot is pretty dicey.
