I felt magic the first time I visited Howl. The creative and collective energy is wonderful and invaluable for any artist. The owner is very helpful, friendly, & accommodating. the rooms, while varied in size & not completely perfect, are charming and reasonably priced even when you re a starving artist. Aside from that, it s great having the liberty to personalize your creative space and I ve found the other people there to be good hearted and rad. Yes, it s not ritzy but, you can t have an entire section of the building for up and coming bands named Metal Alley without a little roughness around the edges. That freedom of expression allows you as an artist / musician to push boundaries and think outside of the box. I ve always felt it to be an inclusive space and a safe space where not only the owner but, the fellow creative types are nothing but welcoming and kind.
