Police will use a Blue unmarked pickup truck ( or other vehicles all unmarked) to bait cars by racing. I was with my friend and even thought the Pick up was going 75 on a 55 zone I get pulled over for 65. The other officers will post up and hide in a good spot (most of the time on the middle median) . Near the end of 29 where route 70 meets and right before Elliott City Exit for route 40. Watch out if you travel through, especial near the end of the month! I know this because after getting pull over 2 more officers showed up and one started a conversation with me. Talking about car and tuning. I said I know how to. Then the same officer mentions that I should see look at his "Truck". The same truck that did not get pulled over!

They were kind & polite on the phone with me & most patient as Joann Weeks is stalking me. They're most understanding when you tell the truth! I'm glad to see that police are this patient, understanding & kind in MD this state has gotten an ill & bad rap in the media & it is good to see, it isn't all like that.

I just received a call that my home security alarm was set off and I am out of town. My security company dispatched the police for me. In thinking of what might be going on, I realized it may have been our new cat... When I returned to my hotel room a few minutes later, I phoned the police department to see what the status might be and to inform them of the potential for the cat to have set the alarm off. The woman who answered said "Oh, Hi Jean, I just took that call! The police are on the way to the house (at my address) right now. Is there anything you would like to tell me?". She was most delightful, offered for me to call back in a few minutes to learn what the police found and took my cell phone number so they could call me if they found trouble. What a relief - I feel peaceful now even though I am 2,000 miles from home. Way to go, Howard County Police!!

The worst experience! My brother was missing for almost 10 hours. Locked in somewhere without his medication. Officer Allen did nothing! she is the worst!
She Didn t seem to care and only called to ask if we found him? Me and my family pretty much saved my brother and did our own investigation.

Was driving back home past 3 AM, and coming upon an accident on Route 99 on the final stretch. Once I pulled up to the scene to wonder what was happening, an officer just rudely asked me "why would you keep beeping!?, does it look like you are going to get through?". I wasn't even honking in front of them! Once I told them I would find another way home, they just responded "Good Answer!!" like they thought I was trying to cross the police flares (I wasn't; I was just going to ask what was happening and then back off). Would definitely be comfortable with more polite officers.

My Howard County Police Department confirmed that ...

My Howard County Police Department confirmed that they are public servants whose top priorities include the public safety of Howard County residents.

While working in my home office on Saturday morning, 18 Feb 2017, I witnessed car collide with the guard rail on the on ramp from Meadow Ridge Road to Route 100 East. The car landed with it front end in the ditch and its rear end perched on top of the guard rail. The young driver stumbled out and tried to make his way to the passenger side to help his young female passenger, but he collapsed after taking approximately 10 steps. Howard County policemen arrived within 8 minutes to lend initial aid and to protect the driver. I went out to tell one of the officers what I saw. He impressed me with his politeness and sense of professionalism. I didn't get the officer's name, but his police car identification was Car # 307 License Plate HC1047 and Car # 530 with License Plate HC1063. I included a picture of the accident scene. This picture shows that the officers are fully engaged.

These professionals work under stressful conditions and put their lives at risk to protect us. I imagine that they don't receive too many words of thanks, however, I say Thank You from the bottom of my heart.

Don't expect to get quality customer service from the operators. Just victim blaming. The operators and the supervisor were unhelpful. I understand now why most people avoid calling for help or making statements. They had the audacity to me to file a complaint against the officer. I didn't want to file a complaint against the officer, I wanted answers. They made me fee dumb over and over again. Offering the only solution to get me off the phone to file a complaint against the officer and his supervisor. They don't listen, they don't make you feel safe. Their tone and blame when I was trying to get help and get to the bottom of something with no solutions, makes me wish there was some other number to call. Again, not upset with the police department more or so the customer service side of the operators.
