Hotel Van der Valk Wolvega/Heerenveen Review

It's perfectly alright. The rooms are very large and the bathroom is spacious with shower and bath. The equipment is good. The location near the highway suggests otherwise, but in the room you can hear it as well as not at all and even with tilted window it was barely perceptible. All in all I was satisfied although the price for 120 euros per night with breakfast is quite steep. I have the same value if not better for less money

Nice place, good hotel and nice place behind the hotel for sunbathing or swimming.

Spent several times a night at this hotel. Nice, spacious rooms. Good bed. The plumbing is neat and clean. The breakfast in the morning is well sorted. Something for everyone and the eggs are fried on site. The restaurant is also recommended for lunch and dinner. Delicious desserts. Good value for money.

Van der Valk, Wolvega, for me is "coming home" - everything is right.

We had our favorite (late) lunch dish, slipper tongues. We noticed that they are becoming smaller and smaller! Operation super nice girls.

Enjoyed super tasty lunch. 12 o'clock is really recommended !!

Room was large and clean. Very nice bed. Dinner was bad. Dry chateau briant. Unfortunately. Breakfast on the other hand super with a lot of choice.

Not too good. Chicken satay seemed to be grilled 3 times. Corona measures not properly implemented.

Great comfortable hotel with very friendly service and reception. It is spacious and the corona measures were fine. The location on the bathing water is fantastic. The buffet for breakfast and dinner is recommended.

Only been in the restaurant for a study appointment, fast WiFi, spacious table for both our laptops and the tables around us were not filled so that we could work quietly. Vegan lunch was delicious only a very small portion, enough for me because I am a small eater but not enough for my fellow student and I agreed with her. Food was delicious but if the portions are a bit more reasonable for the price I would give 5 stars. :)

Nice room for a good price. I had an offer but still, if you are looking for it is possible. Eaten in the restaurant in the evening. Everything was neatly arranged, good food for a reasonable price. Friendly service.

Great lunch dishes. The fifth star is missing because it has been experienced several times that the service is on the slow side, both when taking the order and when serving the dishes.

Nice hotel and spacious clean rooms. Restaurant serves good quality food and staff are knowledgeable and friendly. During the breakfast buffet, the hotel took the RIVM guidelines into account. Top!

Just 20 minutes to half an hour at v.d. Falcon sitting in a beautiful hall next to a cupboard full of delicious pastries and a menu waiting for service. After a question from a neighborhood table for service (also waiting for half an hour) the passing waiter reported that someone would come by. After some time a cup of coffee was indeed brought to this table. I wanted to order, but this was not possible. Waiter would come back later to take order. After more than 5 minutes of waiting, we gave up and left. We came especially from Heerenveen to drink a cup of coffee at v.d. Falcon Wolvega. This year we also spent a few weekends in fellow v.d.Valks. No complaints there. This WORTHLESS.

I found the location fine .. the room was neat and spacious. The service was good with friendly and attentive people.

Very extensive unlimited lunch buffet with sushi, fries, spare ribs, eggs and much more. I personally found the selection of sandwiches a bit less, it was really focused on the hot meal. For sandwiches and the like, you better go to the Van der Valk Sneek lunch buffet

Very good hotel with friendly staff who can help you where possible. Environment soothing especially the rear of this hotel.

How nice that the reception staff were so helpful and thought along when we arrived with the kids in the evening. One of the kids had become unwell and I still had to clean the car at 10 PM.

Breakfast was fine, family room was big enough for two adults and two kids. Cleaning could be much better. Apparently everything seems clean until you take a good look with, for example, dirt on doors (you can get it off right away), Nespresso machine with used cups and full water bowls.

In terms of maintenance in the room and the hotel of the room, some attention / reinvestment may also take place. Think of a large rust radiator bathroom, squeaky hinges of the balcony door, worn remote control, event transmitter (was F1 Ziggo sport) but image fell outside TV (resolution setting or 4: 3 from 16: 9 setting), carpet steps from BG to 1st worn , has holes and is partly covered with silver duct tape. I suspect lack of anything better.

Kids room: if you set up a room for this, maintain it too. Think of throwing away / replacing broken toys.

Appearance of the coffee machine in the room: machine is Nespresso, coffee cups (cardboard-like) by Douwe Egberts and coffee cups are unbranded. Missed service and thoughtless in my opinion. Then just put such a Senseo in the rooms if you want DE or Nespresso cups with accompanying machine or hi at the Nescafe gold coffee stock that is also available ...

You still pay more than 200 euros for a night. So price quality was not okay and the three stars are for the ladies mentioned in the first paragraph and breakfast products.

Nice restaurant. Sometimes the food is better than the next

You can enjoy good food for a decent price, it is special that at the bottom of the menu it already says that you can order garnishes and you don't see that often. The portions of garnish, on the other hand, are not large.
It is nice that you can order a glass of water for free.

Very unfortunate that I have not received a response to my complaint that cleaning is done in the middle of the night. And it is crazy to say that such a Dutch hotel chain has NO disabled rooms.
