Nice small hotell. The rooms are clean. A bit noisy on the tram side.
Very cozy !! very small rooms but very well located
Would not be accommodated in room 1 no air conditioning windows do not go on approx. In 8 square meters only two fans could not sleep the night Bad completely dirty filthy can not recommend it
Although the room is narrow but comfortable and soundproof. The breakfast menu is great
Mixed experience
Fairly good location despite a lot of noise due to 2 fairly close roads
Regarding breakfast for the French, not much and small quantities. Always the same things to eat not too much variety.
A little advice in the room do not touch anything in the mini bar do not move any food or drinks or you will have the pleasant surprise of finding yourself with an invoice to pay.
Special mention to the receptionist, in vain we explain to him as best we can and with Google translation that we have eaten nothing in the mini bar which
Looks us in the eye saying "no problem" and who billed us from behind.
Nice hotel within walking distance to many things. Very delicious breakfast and friendly staff
From Check in to check out, we only had great service. Special thanks to Sergio, for always greeting us with a warm smile and friendly service.
Perfect location. Easy walk from the train station. The room and the service were great.
Despite the language, they made an effort to communicate, they pointed out unmissable places.
hotel with spectacular breakfast, good predisposition in the attention of
the girls when we asked for what we wanted.
Comfortable beds, very good furniture.
I would like to highlight the Reception Sta. IRENE KOSTER "EXCELLENT !!!!!!!!
Watch out for room 46!
In Stephen King's novel "The Shining" (and Stanley Kubrick's film of the same name) the Torrance family will spend the winter at the Overlook Hotel, with the warning not to enter room 237.
At the Sint Nicolaas hotel in Amsterdam there is a room, room 46, with which you also have to be careful.
It has an "L" -shaped corridor, and the rest of the room is practically occupied by the bed, so the occupants (they consider it a double room) must agree not to move at the same time, avoiding bumps and bumps. . It is best not to get out of bed while in the room. As the room is under a roof, part of it has a sloping ceiling, which makes mobility even more hampered.
In addition, the window frame and the window itself are made of wood and it does not fit well, so it is possible to hear, unless you sleep like a log, the sound of the night traffic in Amsterdam, quite abundant on that street.
In conclusion, given the choice, I prefer room 237 at the Overlook hotel.
Very small room 180 Euros The view of the building from outside is tempting, but a room of this size is not worth the price. In the room there is a coffee machine and a water kettle. There is a safe
Super nice hotel. There is no better location. Very friendly staff and very clean!
Strategic location near the train station, room nicely cared for in detail.
Location: 5
Breakfast: 3
Cleanliness: 3
Rooms: 4
I really liked this smaller hotel, it has charm and ambience. The lobby is nice and cozy looking like a classic Dutch living room with fireplace.
The location is excellent just a 5 minute walk from the main rail station and on the 5 tram line which goes to the museumplein.
The bed was great and the bathtub was large and comfy....hard to find hotels in Amsterdam with large bathtubs, usually showers.
Breakfast was also of good quality and all you can eat.
I recommend choose a room not on the tram side as it can get noisy.
Overall, a solid choice for visitors
Nice hotel in the centre of amsterdam. Rooms are pretty big and clean. Bathroom is clean too. Staff is friendly an the breakfast is perfect! All in all a good stay in the middle of amsterdam
Very nice hotel very well located. Breakfast excellent and very rich!
3 star hotel. Rooms are good size. Not dirty but it can be cleaner. Price is higher than it deserves.
Excellent hotel. In the center and close to the station. Clean and tidy. Friendly service. Great beds. Elevator. Free and fast internet. In-room safe. Good parking arrangement. Delicious breakfast. Some city noises from outside are no objection to me.
Open fire in Amsterdam. Not a bad place for a quick coffee or beer.
Cozy hotel with unsurpassed atmosphere. Comfort and good location. The reception in Spanish is very helpful, Sergio is wonderful. Recommendable. We would repeat
Good location, no restaurant, staff could have been quicker in service
Wonderful idyllic hotel and extremely good service!
Perfect location. Great service. A good place to stay st to get to all the attractions in Amsterdam!
The hotel is in the center. The rooms are clean, breakfast is super. All liked it.
Key positivo To go To The city center, Nice staff, Good breakfast, rooms a litle bit smaller .The valutation as a whole good.
Very nice hotel and beautiful setting near Montmartre. Ideal for a dinner or a drink with friends. Younger audience at night
Very nice hotel located about 5 minute walk from Amsterdam Centraal. Close to West canal loop, bike rentals and Black Bike, and the trolly. The breakfast in the hotel was also very good: self serve eggs, bacon, Dutch cheese, and coffee. The rooms are small, because the building is very old, but they are well appointed and comfortable. The street beside the hotel can be noisy at night, but that s not a huge problem. All in all, I really liked this hotel and would stay here again any time.
Close to trains and most other transport. Canalboats and Main street starts close to. Lots of shops and restaurants
Great value for money. Cosy and an unbeatable location. Very close to the central train station. Rooms tidy and neat. Breakfast is not the most expansive but more than adequate. Oozes character and charm. Made the stay in a great city that little bit greater.
Excellent location, good reception - open till late. For location and kind of hotel, has affordable prices.
Good location, good room but at most ok breakfast. Very expensive relative to what you get.
+ good location
+ cozy, clean room
+ good breakfast - fresh products
+ nice staff
- room was quite dark also could be better soundproofed
Very nice hotel. Friendly staff. Perfectly located. Next door you can rent bikes from King Bikes. Good bikes and normal prices.
Pretty nice rooms, great location, breakfast not over-provided, but good.
Funky little place friendly staff , opposite central station , sometimes can be expensive but mostly worth what you pay .
Service and hotel are amazing. Great location as well.
Great location and excellent service, limited breakfast
Clean and comfortable hotel. Very close to the central station
It's a crime that this hotel only has 3 stars! My room was way bigger and more modern than I was expecting for the price. The staff were really helpful the hotel itself is only 3 or 4 minutes walk from centraal station and the stairs are perfect unlike the hill climbs you get in most Amsterdam hotels!
Best location! Legit in the heart of Amsterdam. Loved my stay, staff was great, and wasn't even a minute walk to gorgeous scenery and shops to explore. Breakfast was exceptional. I was only in Amsterdam for a short while, and I'm glad I chose Sint Nicolaas.
A nice and very centrally located hotel, with friendly staff.
Nice hotel, close to the Central Train Station, but some of the rooms do not have air conditioning.
Booked a room and I was the bookings of 3 nights confirmed! Two days later I got a cancellation from the hotel without explanation!
Excellent clean and well received hotel I recommend
Very nice hotel, the ladies at the reception very nice and the rooms very nice and modern.
Unfortunately, there are a few fume cupboards, as the bed side tables, for example, were not cleaned, there were glass edges everywhere. Due to the design of the house, the rooms are built a bit diagonally, so one side of the bed is a bit narrower and there I stepped barefoot into something, which was a bit ugly. The bathroom was very clean, even the shower head without deposits, however When showering, the water escaped from under the glass over the edge of the tub to the floor, so you had to wipe after showering. Due to the corona you had to order what you would like to have for breakfast a day in advance, this also worked out great, but we were also looking forward to a fruit salad, where when asked, they said they didn't have it.
But even with the negative points a very good hotel, the bed was very clean and the mattress ideal for people with back problems. I would like to highlight the staff, because they are particularly nice and are always there to help. The central location is also great, everything is within walking distance. And the cooperation with the parking garage as well, since you only have to pay 20 instead of 55 for 24 hours.
Nice Hotel in the heart of Amsterdam with affordable parking options. Beautifully and attractively restored monumental building. Nice rooms, well equipped, clean and a top bed!
Friendly staff, only breakfast was no more than
average but otherwise nothing but praise!
Our stay was very pleasant. The staff was very friendly and the hotel was very nice and we enjoyed the complementary breakfast in the morning. The location was great for us because we arrived by train and the station is very close.
A good small hotel, and cheaper than a huge hotel around the station - and the service and the ideal location is more attractive.
Above all expectations, and for a decent price. The rooms were exactly as seen in the pictures, everything is clean and facilities are really good. They even provided coffee and tea for free in the rooms. Staff is nice and helpfull. Regarding the location, there are a lot of food places, bars ana coffeeshoo right in front of the hotel and 10 minutes walk to the city center.
I can confidently recommend this hotel.
Very nice hotel and lovely staff. Great location for a break in Amsterdam.
The rooms are nice and the breakfast is perfect. The reception is very nice.
beautiful establishment frankly to recommend
I liked the setting and the breakfast
Good breakfast. Central. Renovated and pleasant rooms, although small
Super hotel, its location is very convenient, the rooms are good and the breakfast is very complete.
Hotel very well placed in the center Good breakfast. Very nice home
Very, too expensive. Without air conditioning. 900 euro for 3 nights a triple would say excessive
Excellent breakfast
The hotel is clean and overall pretty good, but my room did not have air conditioning.
Lovely hotel. Great room right in the centre of the city
Very good location, pleasant and helpful staff, clean rooms
Very well located, perfect breakfast, but the receptionists, a little unfriendly, the rooms good, clean but being old, it does not appreciate cleaning, but good in general
Top hotel for a visit to Amsterdam. Few minutes walk from the hotel.
We had a nice room, not very big, but more than fine. Comfortable beds and a nice bath. The disadvantage or shower is in the bath.
The breakfast is also fine. Everything is there and they have good coffee / cappuccino / latte.
There were also coffee / tea making facilities in the room.
Best service and everything clean and beautiful!
Gladly again!!!
Excellent hotel, excellent location (150m from the central station). The quality / price ratio is very good. I recommend booking directly from the hotel website for more attractive prices compared to the various search engines and booking systems.
Hearty breakfast, both savory and sweet. Available from 7 in the morning.
Well soundproofed room and comfortable beds. Skinny bathroom kit.
After many trips to Amsterdam I found the hotel that suits me. Friendly staff, attention to detail, very convenient position, breakfast buffet not extremely varied but still very satisfying. I will be back!
