Room really spartan. And then the mattresses. You don't like to lie on it.

Staff very nice, the rooms small but enough to sleep. Breakfast is ok. Now we come to the bad part: the maid doesn't work properly, beds are made but when the weather is warm you sweat at night, then you want to have new bed linen even after 3 days, I think. The bathroom was not cleaned let alone the shower. You could also hear mice running around where in the hallway to the rooms that is a no go
We don't come here anymore then I love to spend more money on a clean and pet-free hotel

Rooms not too flashy, but staff exceptionally friendly and sympathetic, Asian kitchen outstanding, price very fine for this location. Quiet despite being in the middle of town, felt great to hear an old carillon nearby, a few jackdaws, wild pigeons and even an owl early at night. Breakfast with good coffee.

NEVER AGAIN!!!!!! Dirty rooms, the entire hall STINKS after old grease from the kitchen, the whole hotel is absolutely noisy and the windows everything but isolated! Breakfast is ok.

This has been my third visit to Hotel Puur. The first time a few years ago, I was completely enchanted by the beautiful atmosphere and the courteous staff. The rooms were small but clean and the inventory was well maintained and in order. I am therefore a year later, directly with a friend again there and we were very satisfied. Obviously there was a change of ownership in the meantime. The staff was not as nice as its predecessor. The restaurant is now very Asian-inspired and I feel like the main focus is on it. The guest rooms, however, have real flaws. The shower was only a hose without shower head and the fittings shaky. The Reciver of the non-functioning TV (there was no remote control) stood on the screen of a floor lamp. I think it's ok for one night, but I'll definitely look for another place to stay in the future.

Crappy hotel room no TV bad service seems a lot from the outside but when you are inside you see that it is poorly maintained just a bad hotel I don't recommend it to anyone.

Nice and modern hotel with friendly staff. Slept very well here, even though my night was short! Plus the food was delicious.

Great stay in the center. Often a bit noisy but cozy. Staff was helpful. Got ice for the cool box of our open boat. Cozy terrace in front of the hotel in the summer.

This was our third time. 2 years had no problems. But now there is a new owner just hopeless, we could in our room at 3 p.m. which is normal, but that nothing was cleaned and no beds were changed it was an hour later, the TV did not call it a malfunction which lasts for months the 2 day only towels laid down no bed made ,. Many people who have been here more often do not return. And we certainly not. And not to mention the inside terrace was a big mess, filthy bathroom filthy shower curtain. We have paid 180.00 but I think 18.00 is still too much. Max's greetings should only come here once.

The last! We got kicked out because we smoked in the room. There was no smoking anywhere. An employee came rushing in and shouted out.

Warm welcome, good bed, good breakfast, delicious food in the accompanying restaurant, Asian cuisine, within walking distance from the station.

Unfortunately, the operator has changed. Bar was restructured. Feels uncomfortable and cold. There are no more cocktails. Rooms and drinks have become more expensive and parking costs extra. Price performance is no longer proportion. Toilet is dirty. Do not come back. Too bad.

The suite is nice and spacious, unfortunately not a double bed but 2 single beds that slide apart. The promised wifi did not work, the heating in the suite works poorly or not. You also have trouble going out until the middle of the night so sleeping is not possible !!

Hotel in a fantastic location with an excellent price / quality ratio! Bed sleeps wonderfully. Rooms on the south side are warm on hot days. Slightly noisy. Breakfast is well arranged and delicious to eat in the garden.

The hotel is not recommended. The rooms are in poor condition and not really clean. Alright for one night. <br/> The internet worked reliably. The breakfast was ok. But I will not be back.
Unfortunately, I had to reduce my rating from two to one star later. Have picked up from the stay bed bugs.

The boss is a Vietnamese Chinese speaking Cantonese, very enthusiastic!
The room is a bit rudimentary and the hygienic conditions have to be improved, but the price is really good, the cheapest room within 1000 meters.

Had a super good stay. The hotel is located in the middle of the city and also offers its own parking space. In addition, I also went to eat at the restaurant. The staff is welcoming and food is a new, tasty experience.

Very basic but with a very good position and prices.

My first review on Google, mainly intended to protect people. I have seen many hotels of varying quality for my work, but what I found tonight does belong to the basement class. Without going into further detail I can be brief about this:
Do you not sleep in a pigsty at home, why elsewhere?

The hotel is in the center, near the train station. Extremely small rooms. Breakfast is very good! Otherwise, the restaurant offers Asian cuisine.

This hotel is suituated in an ideal spot everywhere is literally a stones through away but for me unfortunatly that is more or less where the positives end.
Our room itself was ok, for the most part it was clean, a few things that i would nit pick about is our first night we had a random holey grey undefined sheet inside of the usual white linen sheet (which didnt even fit the bed). The shower left me with some doubts since I am pretty sure that it was a cupboard before and they could of got rid of all the calc.
The worst part for me however was the smell. I understand that they have a Chinese style resturant on site (which i heard is really good but we never tried it) but we were on the second floor and it just stunk all the time of fat or fat frying something along those lines and it did seep into our room which was extremely off putting and the smell did get worse depending on time of day.
Another small complaint is we wanted a night cap and we had gone out the back for a cigarette and came back into the bar where someone was working. Now we stood there for a good few minutes while he was working but he never once asked if we needed something, I can completely understand If the bar is closed but just communicate with us so we know your not open.
All in all I wouldnt stay here again and that is more or less purely based on the smell.
I wish I could be more positive but I just wanted to leave an honest review.
Side note, there is a beer pub next door which is AMAZING

What are the standards for a Dutch hotel? The country-specific, or the standards of your own country?
I thought the hotel was more youth hostel.
To the rooms: we had a room with double bed.
The walls were quite thin. We heard almost everything from the neighbors. There were room neighbors with loud music, loud conversations. As if teens were on Kiffertour.
The room was quite small. The suitcases did not fit between the bed and the wall. You had to lift her over. Is not bad, it should only make clear the space.
Toilet was not clean. One could still see the remnants of the guests before. Shower and toilet separately. Structurally as on m campsite. But okay. The towels were big enough and pleasant.
Bed was big enough. However, only with a common ceiling. The request for another blanket is happy to follow. However, no reference to the ceiling? Strange! Open window for ventilation. Heating is electric.
Stairwell and hall rather sterile. Maybe something has to do with the fire protection.
The breakfast was included. It is offered in the adjoining Asian restaurant.

Scrambled eggs and bacon were delicious. So all right.
The staff is nice and friendly. A conversation in German was unproblematic. One has also fulfilled all wishes immediately.

To come back to the question of standards, the question for me is only about price / performance. Is there more comfort for the price? The hotel is recommended for the short city break. We will go back to Venlo. Then we try another hotel and compare times. ;-)

I didn't get a few bugs on the toilet, I was told that I got a compensation, I didn't get it either. The Wi-Fi was bad and there were holes in the cover, the heating made the whole time noise and during the phone conversation said that I put it on Facebook I got the answer I have all your data what he meant by that is a mystery and all this in one day

A hotel located in the center of Venlo with many advantages; very welcoming due to the closeness of its employees and at the same time a place where you can be very calm and at peace. I will repeat the next time I come to Venlo without any doubt!

Cons: Very thin walls, so couldn't sleep well. Unfortunately, the shower smells bad. The breakfast is designed very carelessly. You get kicked out of the internet every half an hour & have to log in again.
Positive: Nice & polite people, great location, nice view of a church and an inner courtyard.

Dirty towels, holes in the bedlinnen and BED BUGS!! These insects give you a rash and itchy skin...

We were here one and a half years ago, it was warm and comfortable.
But since the owner has changed a lot seems to go wrong.
We booked a deluxe double room for one night.

The room was dirty the sheets with inexplicable stains on it the bathroom was well I say really marginal what the cleanliness betraff ... I can only say baaaah.

At the front desk you said that the tv did not work which was not sooo bad for one night.
But for 90 euros the night you can expect at least a decent cleanliness.

At the check-out would not even look forward to saying the name was the key.

We had a standard double room for 80 euros a night. To see it positively ... you couldn't fall in the size of the room but it was enough to sleep. When we got into the room in the evening we noticed that there was no real heating, only a fan heater that didn't really give off air, we didn't think so when we slide together .... ha ha ha far from it, the beds slide apart as soon as you slide together. When we finally had a good position to lie down and our disappointment with only Dutch television programs was over, someone quickly filled what felt like a bin of old glass into the container in front of the house and after a short moment of rest we fell on the walls probably crazy are thin, because the rest of the night the couple next door slept loudly together in the room
Breakfast was great staff very friendly and for many things nobody can do something, at least today we laughed a lot about our day off!

I cannot recommend this hotel. It is very outdated, curtains are to short, bed was very hard, some furniture had stains and to make things even worse in the middle of the night police was in the hallway removing someone out of his room for some reason. Only positive points was the staf at the reception when we came in and the breakfast

Stayed in studio apartment .No washing machine and the WiFi can be used for not more than 3 GB in a day, then you are blocked.
Good thing is ,its at the centre of the city.

Dead insects and boxes of poison on the floor, thick soap scum and rust on the shower door, the curtain could not close because it was / is partly torn off, food scraps from previous guests still in the fridge, the hotel kitchen drain on the balcony together with vermin pesticides and sagging wooden boards, an ashtray full of wet cigarettes. Dehydrated bread and toppings with the flies. For 400euro bedded.

A simple yet complete hotel on the perfect location.

Tasty tapas, highly recommended. Portions are somewhat larger than you are used to.

Bathroom was nice and fresh, room where in need of a refresh, the bed was pretty good and the breakfast was alright.

Rooms are functional, the rest is fantastic. Rarely served so good mixed Asian food. Price performance of the restaurant and the ambiance are top. The location is very central, a large monitored parking for around 10 euros p.T. right around the corner.
