Hotel location is good, because it is a taxi back and forth, it feels inconvenient to go out. The room is well decorated, especially the electric glass and toilet and the bathroom TV are very good, but the arrangement is because of the smoking floor, the room always feels a bit odor. The bathroom drainage seems to have a very slow problem.

The service usually feels like working only without feeling, and it is normal in China, but it is a bit disappointing if I go to China with Japanese hotels.

I think it used to shine, but now it feels quite old and I felt that it became an upscale business hotel.
Everything smelled like smoke. I was in a non-smoking room but the room smelled like cigarettes even after opening the window for a few hours. Went to eat at the restaurant and it smelled like smoke too. Hotel room itself is big, but just maybe needs some renovation. Doesn t feel five star.
For some reason, the reception desk always felt understaffed. On the day to check-in, I was the ONLY one in line and I waited for about an hour, because this dude in front of me was having a dispute with the desk clerk about his room charges, no one, I repeat, NO ONE, seems noticed that I was waiting. Similar story unfold in front of me again when I was waiting for check-out, but this time, there's another twist, after the desk clerk finally have time to process my business, a new intern walks in report for duty, so the desk clerk not only did not greeting me or apologize for the long wait, but also he went straight into business to show the new intern how to process a check-in customer ( I don't understand why he assumed I was check-in), then about five minutes into the tutorial instructions, I used just ablut every last bit of rationality that have left inside of me and told the desk clerk " Hi there." Slowly, desk clerk raised his chin and said " How may I help you?"
Anyway, I was speechless for this level of outstanding services, kudos for all the hotel staff I've been encounter, I think it's a great honor for me to even experience this level of hospitality in this days and age. Also honorable mention goes to customer service representative, i phoned in to report my encounter, but no follow ups. Oh wait! How can I forgot, The Desk Clerk, whom I have such a privilege to meet with, I wish you all the best.

Very bad experience!!! The facilities were old and damaged in the room, the safe was broken and the Front Office Manager didn't replace it. We put our laundry in the hotel bag near our bag that was full of our two weeks in Chine laundry and the HSKP took - without our asking for it- the laundry and washed it. The day after when we checked out the front office manager apologized and said it was their mistake but the minute we left he charged our credit card without telling us. This hotel is not recommended at all !!! Don't go there !!!

Rooms are fine, seems like might have been renovated recently. The linens are clean and of quality. Also in a quiet neighbourhood, nor close to metro or shopping malls.
Like most other reviews, I found the concierge staff to be incompetent; allowing queue jumping, fighting with taxi drivers and shouting at each across the lobby. They do not know basic landmarks like People's Square or simple addresses on Nanjing E Rd. Seems suitable to local guests. This is not an 'international' hotel.

The outlet was only on the window side of the two beds, so when we stayed together we felt that one person could not charge near the bed.

Walking outside the hotel while it's raining is a real hazard. They put some sort of marble on the sidewalks that become extremely slippery when wet. Have fallen a couple of times myself.

The room is large and beautiful. There was a Japanese staff, so I was relieved. Local staff? Also spoke English.
There are shops such as delicious rice cake packages and meat buns that locals go to nearby, so it is fun to eat breakfast.
There is also a popular massage store nearby.
You can also take a taxi to Shintenchi, Tagobo, the Bund, etc. in about 15-20 minutes. It is recommended.

Pricey though decent room and service. Location is in the middle of no where no metro no taxi, have to walk to bus stop, 15mins to . Can t get a taxi without paying extra or the help with concierge. Thank you for the nice and helpful reception and concierge team but unfortunate won t go back.
