I really enjoyed the time I lived here. The hotel is located in a central area and is reasonably priced. The waiters were very friendly, they helped me print the tickets and told me where I could eat. They also reminded me that there are hiking trails in the hotel area.

I have read some comments to this hotel and appreciate the improvements they made in the past several months.
If you would like to stay at some place with a little bit historical and cultural atmosphere, this hotel is a good choice in the heart of Paris.

The hotel restaurant brunch was perfect. To name just a few things: Glass of champagne, unlimited squeezed fruit juice, salmon, foie gras, passion fruit, macaroon etc.
The staff is really nice.
I will stay there again and highly recommend.

My family of four had booked a room at a different hotel in Paris, and when we arrived there, it was disgusting and we had paid double the price for the room. Panicked, we called around to see who could take us in, and the staff at Hotel Napoleon were incredibly helpful and accommodating. The suite we received was perfect, with a wonderful balcony and two bathrooms. The sofa bed was even comfortable! It didn't seem to matter what time we left the room or what time we came back, room service always put the room back spotless, and the cookies and chocolate left on the pillows were delicious. Genuinely it was one of the best hotels I've stayed at

The best part of the Napolean is its location. Literally steps from the metro and champs elysee. Plenty of shopping and food nearby. Breakfast is ok for the price, not a princely spread but adequate. And unchanging. Same same everyday. The rooms are typically parisien...minuscule but you ARE in the heart of the city. We stayed in a suite and during our 3 night stay had to get the hotel to fix the plumbing twice. The 2nd time, on a sunday they offered to move us. Bedroom was smelling of backwash. Concierge and front desk service were not always forthcoming. Housekeeping, as another review said, entered room despite the No Disturb sign. Overall not great value. Rooms are pricey and service not commensurate with price.

Not, in our opinion, a five star hotel. The bed, sitting chairs and couch in our 463 per night Avenue Suite were hard as rocks. We were told the drinks (consisting of one bottled water, one coke and one other canned drink) in the mini-bar were complimentary and would be refreshed daily, but they were not refreshed any of the three days we were there. The cleaning service (the one day we allowed it) was sub-par. The avenue view was not at all what we expected. We were on the third floor and the suites below ours seemed to have a balcony so they could actually experience the venue, but our suite had no balcony or view to speak of.

At check-in, a man who was never introduced to us (and never spoke to us) started walking away with our bags. We told him that we were fine and did not need help, but he would not stop walking away with our luggage. Luckily, check-in finished and we walked over and just took our luggage back. I am still not sure what his roll was, as there was not enough room for three adults and their bags all on the elevator at once.

Coming and going from the hotel over the next three days was met with occasional stares from those behind the check-in desk, but little to no acknowledgement that we were in their presence.

The one bright moment was interacting with the young lady that checked us in. We did not get her name, or see her again during our stay. She was very warm and welcoming.

Earlier this year we stayed at a hotel less than a block from Hotel Napoleon, and the differences were striking. We would not stay here again.

Classic refined elegance but a bit tired.

Classic refined elegance but a bit tired.

Excellent location only meters from the Arc de Triomphe, metro and other major sights. Rooms can be a bit small, but that s all hotel rooms in Paris! Staff at front desk knowledgeable and gave great restaurant recommendations.

If your budget permits, splurge on an Avenue Suite. Pricy but will add hugely to your Paris memories.

Only getting 4 as could do with a minor cosmetic upgrade. Would recommend overall though.

5-star hotel in a warzone. We checked in the hotel the night before the protest on the Champs-Elysees and on the day of the protest, many of the roads were closed and we couldnt go back to our hotel. We were on foot and going around in circles for an hour until we found road that was open that allows us to go back to our hotel. The hotel could have informed us what roads would be open, etc. We had the double executive room which is tiny. The room was dusty and just average. I would compare the room amenities to a standard hotel like a Holiday Inn Express. Not what you would expect from a 5 star hotel with 5 star prices. The only redeeming factor was the breakfast buffet. Glad we were staying for just 2 nights.

We just returned from a week at this hotel and our first 2 days were at the superior room and final 5 at the junior suite. We are from Las vegas so we have seen many 5 star hotels just down the street from our home and this is one of them! It is not meant to be a huge flashy place with gigantic chandelier or ultra modern design, for that there are others. If you go to Paris to experience the romance of the city with the rich culture and history, then this is the place for you. All the amenities are there, from high speed free wifi in the lobby to completely updated bathroom and the most important of all, the staff. Smile and greetings by name very morning when you walk pass the lobby to all the little things they do including moving all my clothes when I changed rooms to packaging my painting when I want to take it with me instead of shipping and more. My wife and I love this place, and the best part is it has the best location and view of Eiffel and Triomphe , better than even peninsula or George V. We stayed at the top floor suite and there just is not a better place and I visited all the other fine hotels while I was there and this still is the best for me. Price for the location and quality is really a bargain with comfortable bed, good air conditioning, nice furnishing and incomparable location and that special quaint but not worn feel that is so rare. We will be in Paris again and we will be there!

To say that this hotel holds a 5 star rating, would be an insult to actual 5 star hotels that DESERERVE their rating. This hotel is a complete catfish... looking completely different in person that it does on the internet. The second we arrived, we felt the dinging ambiance, which was very unwelcoming. we were staying in a 2 room suit, which had an unpromising view of the street, instead of its proclaimed "arc de triumph". The rooms were very outdated, and our room smelt like a rooting corpse. We requested it t be fixed, and the hotel made little effort to comply. Another negative was the wifi. They clearly do not feel for tourists who are not able to use their devices without wifi. Instead, they see an opportunity to rob the customer for basic necessities. I do not know anyone who would pay 20$ for one day on wifi, when they would be out all day. A complete Bullshit excuse to take advantage of tourists., especially for the high price that we pay to stay their. I would highly recommend NOT staying here. You are better off staying at the hyatt, where your stay is valued, and the wifi is free. However, the only positive was the location. The hotel is in downtown paris, which makes it very convenient to go everywhere!

We stayed for two nights at this beautiful hotel near Champs Elysees. Very well sized rooms with excellent amenities in the room. Bathroom was quite big too. And the view of arc de triomphe to die for. The staff was very helpful. It indeed gives one the feel of the city as compared to an international chain of hotel which can offer only a standard experience.

Complete disproportion between price and performance
Friendly and efficient staff, pleasant environment (but the downstairs services stank ...!), But if this is a five star, how many really high end ones should have?
Without rancor, simply a factual statement

My husband and I stayed there for three nights during the Air France strike. Air France cancelled our tickets between Paris and Nice one day before our departure. On top of all that, my luggage from Air Canada did not arrive until two days later.
I would like to mention a couple of individuals that helped us through our ordeal with the two irresponsible airlines. First of all, Alain F. from Concierge was a great help all the way, from monitoring my luggage from AC to rebooking train and plane tickets within two hours AF cancelled our booking. Alain was on top of everything, my sincere thanks to him. Carols was extremely helpful as well. A big "Thank You" to the Restaurant supervisor from Quebec, whom we enjoyed our best tasting croissants in the world! Friendly staff from the front desk to housekeeping were a plus as well.

This hotel is centrally located where all the famous sites and everything was within walking distance along Champs-elysees and steps from Arc de Triomphe. I highly recommend Hotel Napoleon Paris to travellers that are looking for convenience, comfort, and great hospitality. We would definitely stay there again next time!
