Hotel Melia Tamarindos Cran Canaria Review

Beautiful hotel which Is very well maintained with everything you could need. The gardens and pool area are a lovely place to relax and chill out. The food is exceptional with a large selection which changes every day. Entertainment in the evening was not that great. The staff are extremely attentive, efficient and always give service with a smile. We had a standard room which was a good size, very clean and well presented. We will definitely come back if we return to Gran Canaria.

Hotel with many years of history, does not deserve the category it holds. It needs a comprehensive reform. Normal buffet pulling bad. Impeccable service, very friendly. Uncomfortable rooms.

Great hotel, something old in certain parts but very cozy. For my liking the subject of IT is sometimes very heavy because when you close the bar of the pool you have to go to the hotel pub to ask and they do not serve you in the pool for the night.New policy.

The hotel is very close to the beach. The decoration has remained anchored in the 80s. It eats well.

Hotel itself: big and showing its age - can deserve a new coat of paint. Location is great - right on the sea and with a bus stop in front of the door, from where you can explore the island.

Rooms: the size is perfectly fine and the balcony is also a good size. But here, too, should be renovated. The toilet and bathroom are separate from each other, which is practical in itself, but there is no sink on the toilet and you have to go back to the bathroom to wash your hands. The cleanliness is okay - could be improved in some places.

Food: unfortunately zero points! I am a vegetarian and could only eat side dishes like French fries or broccoli. There was little variety; the food was mostly cold and unseasoned. Vegetables were prepared in cookers in which fish were previously made - I can't get rid of the smell and taste - no go! We went out to eat more often because I couldn't and didn't want to eat side dishes and salad for 2.5 weeks. What a shame!

Service: friendly and helpful. However, far too few staff at mealtimes / rush hours, which meant that you had to wait a long time for your drinks and the tables were only covered from time to time.

Evening program: could be improved.

Conclusion: nice for a few days but not for a longer stay. Unfortunately it is not worth its 5 star.

The hotel appears as 5 stars, to me it seems more than 4 and so I reflect in the score. I have osppointed in a room with sea views which is as described, it is spacious with 2 single beds of 190x120, a large washbasin and a terrace with two sunbeds. At the buffet I know how well to have breakfast and dinner with hot food prepared by a chef at the moment. The main pool is very large and of a depth in its highest part of 3.25 meters. Now the final score is why the hammocks are almost always occupied by many that there are from the first hour of the morning, the parking of the hotel is very fair.

Cannot rate this resort high enough and do them justice. Staff, food, pools, activities are all exceptional. Spa lets it down and needs redoing from scratch (we did not book any treatments due to it not being inviting when you go in), so they may have been OK. Would definitely go back.

I like very much this very well what I do not like is that there are areas that are paid partly for the rest super well the treatment of the porsonal very well .. They should better inform the clients of their offers bonds etc.

It situated in a resort rather quiet from which it is easy to reach Las Palmas. Good value for money. Excellent cleanliness, very friendly staff. The only flaw is a very poor gym, certainly not in terms of the type of hotel.

Great hotel for young and old. The rich buffet leaves nothing to be desired. The personnel is very friendly and courteous. The rooms and outdoor facilities with pool area are clean and well maintained. Beach chairs with umbrellas are free and are sufficiently available. All in all, the hotel is a clear recommendation and rightly has 5stars!

Perfect Medium size hotel. If you wanna relax and just stay at the hotel, this is a very good place to stay. Entertainment is poor but makes up for it with good personal and very very good food. I think the food has been one of my top ten of all time, that days a lot.

Otherwise the hotel follows a normal 3-4 Star hotel Spanish standard. Well worth a stay for 50-70 euro per night.

Really a beautiful hotel and even though the rooms may not be up to the modern standard, it has its own flair which in turn makes it very personable. The staff is very nice, the pool area very large, there is always a beach chair available. The food is lonely. Have never eaten so well in a hotel. Varied, very high quality and there is a damn lot of choice. Who has all inclusive, is here in any case super served. The only downside for the gym, if you can call it that;) As in so many hotels, completely outdated bank bench, a flat bench, old weights and almost no dumbbells. The spinning wheels seemed relatively new, but the treadmills did not. So who would like to train on the cold iron on holiday, is wrong here - but who is looking for recreation, relaxation, good food and a nice atmosphere, that's definitely not wrong! Would go again!

The room was not ready at 1:30. They had to change our room. The bathroom set was not in the new room. It had to be requested. At night the music group and the nightly atmosphere was finished at 11:00 it seems a bit scarce. The excellent cleaning. The bed and the pillows excellent, wifi and air conditioning in the rooms. The buffet food of first quality and very varied. The pools are clean but I recommend removing the step that is on the edge of the pool. The staff is very attentive. The location and the place are first. It is a first class establishment. I recommend it. EXCELLENT.

Very pleasant stay. The common areas are very nice and well-kept, what we liked the most were the views towards the sea from the room.
The worst thing was that the rooms are old and not very nice.

Good hotel, exceptional service, unbeatable food, fantastic facilities, the beach is right next door ... the only one, but there is not much life in the area.

Super buffet, very clean, great and well-kept area, nice and quiet area. The staff is accommodating and nice. You definitely get something for your money. A little older atmosphere, but not less noble.

We have been in this hotel for 20 years and the quality has declined. Positive note for the restaurant staff that makes a 5 * service, already in the bar we find a lack of common drinks, which are not accepted in a hotel of this category. However, overall

We have been staying for five days and it is generally a good hotel, with very friendly staff. Not only that I miss is not having press in the hotel. Later, we go on 22, I will evaluate more thoroughly the stay and the treatment received.

I have not been to many hotels ***** so my Opiniom counts little. The facilities very nice, the views of the room the best, first line of beach and much green up and the pool. The performances of the hotel flojitas and the buffet well, neither spectacular. The all-inclusive covers all the hours of food and drink perfectly even you have little things included in the minibar in the room. The area of the royal service is especially quiet to read, there is also a Jacuzzi.

No five-star hotel, the rooms are small and worn, the toilets old, in the bar it rains and cocktails are served in plastic glasses, on my direct hotel review would not respond, never again!

It was a very nice hotel with a great restaurant and garden. Access to the sea couldn't have been better. Only where we were in the room it was unfortunately very, very loud. The air conditioner or whatever is buzzing outside the windows is way too loud. A pity!!!

A five-star rating that deserves 3 ... there are no staff to respect the COVID-19 regulations ... you smoke in the pool, you go without a mask, you charge 200, a plus included in the reservation. From afar if you want a 5 * service and security you don't have to go there. I put 3 stars for the entertainment staff. (What is the ostia) the guys from the pastas and pizzas and the waiters in the dining room (few who do much).

Nice rooms, ours was very clean, also the bathroom. Breakfast is really good, maybe not the best hotelbreakfast of the world but right enough. Wifi in the room is horrible and almost not usable. The pool area is also really nice and we enjoyed our stay there (it's april/may so not too much people.

The Melia Tamarindos is actually a very nice hotel, well located by the sea and with nice service, but in the evening could be friendlier at the bar. However, it is really getting quite old. The price is therefore not appropriate. Approximately 7 euros by taxi to Playa des Ingles.

The hotel has 5 stars but it's rather from the past. Currently, solid 4. Tidy rooms, though not the first time. Food good / b. good. A beautiful garden leading to a great pool and pool bar. Guests are mainly Spanish and Western. Europe. Practically zero Poles and Europe Sr-East. I recommend, though for people who appreciate a quiet holiday, there is little going on around.

Nice hotel, direct to the sea! Also the pool area is nice, too! The rooms are prettier at the pictures, but totally ok. Unfortunately, the room cleaner threw away a bag with clothes, which were standing on the ground :-(
Nevertheless, We enjoyed our stay, especially the zumba lessions with Janine and Josito.

Great holiday hotel: not top modern and the lobby and bar could have been a little lovelier, but the food and grounds are great, the rooms very clean and the staff friendly.

Room unfortunately booked without a balcony. Otherwise everything available. Big buffet. Nice pool area. But in the main season you definitely do not want to be here (also outside the hotel). We were in early November and had great weather with about 24 degrees and some wind.

This hotel is absolutely to be recommended. We were there in early August 2020 and it was a dream vacation despite Corona. There was a great hygiene concept with its own paths that was implemented exactly. Location and facilities as well as rooms perfect. The food was delicious and there was a huge selection for every taste. In short: it was a real dream vacation without any complaints

Hotel very nice. The staff is super friendly, attentive and very professional, the food very varied and of very good quality, the facilities of the gardens and the pool are beautiful, very clean and maintained.
It just screams for a renovation of the furniture of the interior common areas and the decoration, which is luxurious but very old-fashioned already.
In spite of that it is the fourth time that we stayed here and for me it is the best option in the Canaries but you can pay for the luxury hotels of Meloneras.

Lack of staff at this time of the year especially at the pool bar 25 minutes waiting

The staff at the front desk was not very friendly. Some servers could be more friendly and faster. The rooms are not modern and poorly soundproofed. The pool is very nice with many sunbeds but heated to 23 degrees only. The hotel is well located, facing the sea, 20 minutes from the airport. The 5 stars are mainly due to the excellent buffet for its quality and quantity, wide choice. The entertainment and shows were perfect. The hotel is extremely clean.

A quiet place, customers older folk. Fine, large garden with pool area between hotel and beach. Access to the beach and walking path through the room card through the gate. Leave the fine lobby areas, the room in Spanish style a little bit, but kept clean. Breakfast really comprehensive, good for a long day. Friendly and efficient service. A bit pricey. Good access. Guided by zumpa, pilate, pool, etc. Fourth day, are included in the price. On some evenings of music, dance or other performances. You can find shops, eateries and pharmacies in the neighborhood.

The truth is that it has been a very pleasant surprise to see that despite the very special circumstances that affect us due to COVID 19 they have managed to fully comply with the protection measures and that we enjoy a weekend of tranquility, relaxation and disconnection.

Our most sincere congratulations to all of you, because the effort you are making to make everything as close to the normality that we had before and that you feel that you are in a Hotel of its category is achieving it.

Great, from the front desk to room service all very friendly garden area very well maintained and short walk to the sea. Breakfast and dinner on the terrace with a Spanish wine an experience in itself

The food is fantastic, we are here for 5 weeks and have booked all inclusive, really everything is great. Anyone who complains here cannot be saved
The bathroom is a small point of criticism. Personally, I would prefer a shower without taking a bath. I will definitely go on vacation here again because I feel very comfortable here

The staff is very friendly and everyone speaks English, some of them speak German relatively well. The breakfast is completely okay, little variety but a lot of choice. Unfortunately, there is no "real" bread, but there are a lot of sweet pastries and donuts (not exactly what I eat for breakfast), as well as some types of toasts and rolls. The pool was great. We had to change from room 500 to room 642 because we had no WiFi in room 500. Dinner was ok with lots of choice but none of it is really good. Due to Corona, some services (such as having laundry washed) are not available. All in all good but not a 5 * hotel for us, or too expensive.

Good hotel, we hired a suite, the service "the level" and half board. Except the dinner buffet, which we thought was bad, everything else very correct. Maybe the 5 stars are great, but neither is the price. The garden, pool and beach access area is magnificent and highlights the friendliness of the staff

We stayed 2 years ago and found it to be a fantastic hotel, with direct access to the beach, a good buffet and very friendly employees. We will definitely be back.
