I personally think that this hotel is excellent and Veronica superb at her job

Very nice and luxurious hotel, a bit old but still a very fine address.
Very friendly staff, beautiful pool and park area with direct access to the sea.
On the negative side, you can still smoke on the restaurant terrace during meal times. This is no longer appropriate
All inclusive is not worth it, in the evening the bar is so overloaded that ordering can take up to an hour.

Incredible everything. The food excellent. The animation of the hotel. The pools. The gardens. The staff. The cocktails ... EVERYTHING. In the TBN restaurant next to the pool ... dinner has been spectacular. And the treatment received also

Sanwich was mouldy at the pool restaurant. After complaints they only offered to give me a new sandwich. No one excused for the rotten food and no compenstation offered. Unreasonable!
Besides that, the rooms need to be renovated. The plastic chairs on the balcony were both broken obviously the staff did not care about this. At the most this is a 3 star hotel. It is completely rundown and I will never stay there again.

A wonderful hotel and a better team, all very professional and friendly.

The sea view rooms are wonderful. The pool too. They have made an enormous effort to adapt to the COVID crisis and they have done great.

This year we spent our summer vacation on Gran Canaria in the Melia Tamarindos. This was our first time in a 5 star hotel.

The room, the service, the food and the drinks were great. Joao (from the entertainment), Pedro (from the bar) and all the other staff were really in a good mood and made the stay very enjoyable!

Also our "The Level" room (on the 7th and top floors), as well as the other "The Level" amenities were fantastic (mini bar, private lounge, private jacuzzi and lounging area).

We'll definitely come back someday or recommend you. :-)

Lovely hotel. Delicious breakfast with great selection and delicious surroundings and pool area right down to the beach. Possibility of all inclusive which we did not choose. At the pool area many opportunities for sunbeds, however, as often seen, towels are put out early in the morning so that first appear many hours later, the hotel should enforce even if they write it must not be done.

Obsolete hotel, pool and slippery floor, it needs a good reform to get to have the 5 stars again, I have been disappointed, and what was going to do a special weekend, became a hammock and my companion without being able to enjoy the pool, the pool restaurant, it reminded me of the beach bars, dirty fans, canvas roof, little variety of food, if I have to say something good it would be, nice staff, good breakfast, gardens in good condition, I do not recommend it ...

We have been my wife and I on our honeymoon at this hotel. We have been incredibly well. The attention of the staff is very good, at reception, the bellhop, the buffet, waiters, cooks ... all super attentive with us.
The hotel is impressive, both in services, views, amenities ...
We had a great tranquility in the pool with the foreigners until some places arrived at the weekend ... that's how we Spaniards are.
I have no complaints about the hotel. The only but could put, in the half board, could be included a bottle of water for lunch / dinner.

Having read reviews which said the hotel was a little dated I will readily give this hotel 5* on the quality of their food alone. Without doubt the most fresh, diverse and best quality food we have experienced in a long time. We will be back with our extended family.

The swimming pool is a really good size with plenty of sun loungers and has a bar / restaurant adjacent to it. The food is excellent except the cooked meat for the main course evening meal is invariably tough. Breakfast is excellent. I have only given four stars because we paid extra for a 'superior' room with a sea view but the room can only be described as bog standard no extra space but a large terrace. We wanted a larger room not larger terrace. It also appears that the vast majority of the rooms are facing the sea so there should not be a premium for a sea view. There is an all inclusive option but we were not offered it.

This is not a 5 star luxury, at most a 3 star middle class. Total rip off. Even after changing the room for an additional charge, the hotel standard has not changed. A toilet next to the restaurant with 2 urinals and a loo is not a luxury. Rooms are small and cheaply furnished. Lunch and dinner buffets are bad. 2 types of vegetables, one of them potatoes, that works better. Would never book the hotel again. From Melia Hotel we are used to other standards.

The place is very well outdated decoration but the rock that works here is super good rollera, kind and willing to help with whatever. There are a lot of foreigners, let's say 80% of the hostesses. The buffet food is deluxe and the location too. Pool, beach, shopping center and airport all within a stone's throw.

The hotel is a bit dated but the location and staff make up for this. Right near the beach and shops within walking distance.

We are travel agents and they didn't have a deference with them. We traveled with a baby of 18 months, arrived at 10 am at the hotel and it took 5 hours to give us room. 18 years in the sector, traveling 3/4 times a year and we had never seen anything like it. The appearance of the hotel is stale and old. the rooms of acceptable size, with an up-to-date decoration, peeling wallpaper, ceramic floors, and marble imitation bathroom ... green? and with a bathtub ??? a 5 * ????. To start a dining room with carpet? Typical continental breakfasts but no variation, donuts and muffins. The food with very little variety and having to try everything to find something that was rich, and difficult to find something for the little one. (We do not understand the "family hotel" when there is nothing for children) The nefarious rice, the palm was taken with rice with nuts and dried apricots ... hard and dry meats even on the plate at the time, repetitive desserts and the best the cakes, which they didn't make. Much better (than not well) dinners than meals where the pasta area stands out at the moment, with very good homemade pizzas and a night that coincided with Mexican themed dinner. The old facilities, stood out a revival game room '80, the machines still with the amounts in pesetas !! The pool loungers at 8: 00h were already filled by foreigners even if they didn't occupy them until much later. The hotel's entertainment and depressing nightly performances. Just highlight and congratulate all hotel staff for their willingness and professionalism, without a doubt the most remarkable. In short, 4 * hotel scraped off in low season at the price of Hilton high season. Very disappointed

A bit quite ! Food not upto scratch , good to chill out

A little fuss with the rooms at first, our first stench of smoke and what we had to change to had a broken balcony door. The staff were fortunate to be helpful and accommodating, and the breakfast buffet was very nice.

Very disappointed for a 5 star hotel. Service bad and today it has dripped in the dining room during breakfast from the ceiling. But the cleanliness and beautiful park area was positive. But otherwise disappointing.

Been from 16 to August 23 a very quiet place very friendly and loving employees all perfect except for the food that is not up to a hotel of 5 stars rather seemed from one of 3 and much less in the category of a melia

The hotel room is okay, but there are far too few parking spaces. Service and cleanliness are good. The casino does not exist anymore.

Friendly staff and great food. Some aspects of the rooms need severe modernization though.

We (couple 61 and 65) met a couple of friends in this beautiful complex for 9 days as package travelers.
We were absolutely thrilled with this hotel: a beautifully landscaped palm garden, located directly by the sea, very attractive pool area with pool restaurant: there were enough loungers to choose from!
There were always new bath towels without any problems, the sports entertainment was happily accepted by us women, there is even a separate fitness room right in the garden - small, but perfectly adequate! There are complainers everywhere!

The all-inclusive catering was excellent, various theme evenings rounded off the selection, very good "sea food" and and and ....
We had a double room on the land side on the 6th floor, the road leads past here, but we didn't find this disturbing, we even had the balcony door open at night, in the morning you can close it when there is more traffic!
We had got used to handing the waiters, housekeeping staff and at the bar an appropriate tip from time to time, it didn't hurt! A great service!
The hotel is already a few years old, but it is precisely this that gives this hotel its loving charm!
We were able to organize my husband's 65th birthday with the help of a small additional service (to be bought at reception) at breakfast: with balloons, chocolate cake, sparkling wine and a card)
The hotel management brought champagne and small pastries separately in the afternoon! Thank you very much!
But last but not least: the hotel's show program is sensational! Acrobatics, live music and dance shows!

Hotel very well located, old but well preserved, the garden is spectacular, it is very quiet very with the beach directly opposite

Really upscale hotel with no flaws. You will enjoy yourself here no matter how long.

The rooms are already a bit old. But the garden is beautiful. There are two pools, each with a shallow pool and a deep one. There are plenty of lounge chairs so we always find a spot by the pool. The sea is just behind. The staff is friendly. Not far from the hotel there is a small supermarket and a bus stop. It is also not far to the shopping center. In the evening there are events. Otherwise it is rather quiet. We are happy to be here.

On the day of arrival we were welcomed nicely and competently. We can speak English, but German is not a problem at all in this hotel. The rooms are clean and in good condition. It should be clear to everyone that hotels with high occupancy can show signs of wear and tear here and there. But this is really only minimal and the case when you look closely. The food is superb! I'm a trained chef and have low expectations with all-inclusive, but I was pleasantly surprised. Here we still do a lot ourselves and not only rely on Konvinence as with many other hotels. Pleasant change, well-prepared fresh dishes and very attentive service. The bar by the pool is also very good! The cocktails are very tasty and freshly made. The Palmemgarten is very well maintained and super clean!
There was a star deduction for the pool. It is clean in itself, but had a bit of green cover here and there and in general could use some renovation here and there. But that is whining on a high level.
We would come again in a heartbeat and leave our vacation very relaxed and satisfied.

Have been vacationing 3 weeks / year for many years at this hotel before we bought our own bungalow in San Agustin. The whole food, accommodation, service and very nice staff are unbeatable.

In its time it must have been a great hotel, but now it is a hotel that gives you the feeling that you are trying to get money for any excuse. Example drinks ... there is a bottle drink but if they ask for a combination they put it on tap. This in a 5 star .... is weird. The gym It lacks machinery and is obsolete. Save the suspense the sympathy of the staff.

Bad. It appears a 2 star hotel .Not a bath cap have been in many hotels and 4 stars and have everything yet last year we were close to this glory palace San Agustin of 4 stars and nothing to do with this here the stars are too many. The same conditions are all included. Bufet poor little variety

We stayed at the Melia Tamarindos in August and had 10 wonderful days there.
From front desk to room, food, pool area, evening events, etc. There is nothing to complain about. The staff is super friendly and very attentive.
The only thing you could say at breakfast is the margarine, butter, jam only in small portion plastic packaging offered. This should be reconsidered and maybe bottled in small glass bowls.
But we will definitely be back.

It has a lot of room for improvement, but the potential exists.

If you want to spend a relaxing and pleasant week I recommend it especially because it is clean, the buffet of the restaurant with a very rich choice and excellent food, the very kind staff and a large well-kept garden with swimming pools with a small gym for gym enthusiasts and in the evening some very nice music theme nights.

Hotel needs updating. Beds are quite firm. Food plentiful but same everyday. Gordon Ramsay help! This hotel has got stuck in the same boring menu. Some staff are friendly and hotel very clean.

I loved the hotel, and the good facilities the excellent food very varied, the friendliness and the good treatment of the staff .. There is no doubt that I would return to this hotel again ... I recommend it

Nice hotel outside the city center quite old but the effort is there so that it does not grow old. I put 3 for the hotel but 5 for their botanical garden with a variety of plants, flowers and trees sublime. The atmosphere is good and the staff is good advice. I have good memories of my week in mid-May 2018.

I can only say that the staff are incredibly efficient. From the receptionists, the waiters, the animation guys and the cleaning team.

All super educated and efficient that makes the hotel work.

Then it has details like games for children and adults. The beach is ok it is small but quite clean.

Very quiet area, go out for a walk and the typical giris music is not heard.

A good hotel with a pleasant setting. Some elements require a slight renovation (bathroom, for example). Breakfast is good, but little variety if you stay there for more than 4 days. Wi-Fi deserves 5 *.

very nice and clean hotel right on the sea. Breakfast, lunch and dinner excellent and varied. Has two beautiful pool s on the very well-kept complex. There is also a fitness temple right near the pool, which is well equipped and largely free. Room itself a dream and you can not complain about service. Even food in the room is possible, with a surcharge of 6 euros a joke and also the wireless internet is free of charge. Rooms have their own fridge, balcony and air conditioning. So for the size of the hotel I have not seen a clean hotel in the price range up to 850 Euro per person / week all inclusive. Here almost 80% of all services are all inclusive and even with half board eat the drinks prices, etc on. Staff was friendly, helpful and too forthcoming. Tip for all, give a little more for all inclusive and you have a wonderful holiday and no stress with the interim bills or the final bill for drinks, fitness, spa, etc

I expected more from a 5-star hotel, the restoration is not up to the standard it is sold.

This is my fourth time here and definitely the last time. Service quality fluctuated from year to year, 2020 is an absolute joke again!

The current Corona hysteria means that the hotel has a hygiene concept, which is reflected in the booked breakfast as an organizational disaster.

All plates and tablets were banned from the buffet. You have to come to breakfast at a certain time, sit at an empty table and, depending on the type of employee, wait around 5 to 15 minutes until you get breakfast plates and cutlery. You then go to the buffet with your plate, put your plate down there and put on gloves (don't forget your mask). Then the sequence has to be planned. 2 mini rolls = plate full. Better to get cheese and sausage first, then roll over it. Maybe butter still fits on the plate, ne doesn't work.

Better: get 1 mini bun plus butter plus topping. Place at the table, finish with two bites and get up for the next bread roll plus topping ...

This concept is a disaster, but it somehow fits in here ...
