Hotel Lopez de Haro 5* Review

A fantastic and central hotel. Very attentive and educated everyone. The room is great but the bathroom needs better lighting.

Of the good hotels in Bilbao. Something set aside in its day, has benefited as the whole area near the Guggenheim.

Currently staying at the hotel. Very nice hotel, superb location and excellent value. Would recommend.

To be a 5 star hotel leaves a lot to be desired, I did not like the decoration, small room, improvable breakfast, weak air conditioning, good service, great parking

A 5 * located five minutes from the pintxos area. You need an update of your facilities.

This hotel lacks many things to be able to say that we are talking about a 5 star hotel. I would say rather 3.
While it is true that it is beautifully located and that the room is spacious, there are many things that have disappointed us. The room is dark because it faces a patio (even though we booked a superior room). The bathroom is very old and very deteriorated. Also the furniture, the wardrobes and everything in general. We do not even have good wifi signal in the room. In addition our room is next to the two used by the chambermaids to store the cars and everything else, and this sometimes makes it very noisy.
If instead of 5 stars be offered as a hotel of 3, our expectations would have been lower (and realistic) and our disappointment much lower.

Small room. Furniture was searched together. WiFi does not work. Bathroom a scary bad. You can not even hang a towel. Shower tray where is it still there? Here baths Amaturen and tiles ancient. TV no German reception. Bathroom lighting can only be switched off with main switch. The bed is uncomfortable I could not sleep well. The hotel is in a great location! All sights within walking distance. Very friendly staff. Valet parking. Total max. I would not recommend this hotel.

I did a 2 night stay with a baby in mid August through booking.
The situation of the hotel is excellent.
The room was updated, but it looked old. The sink leaked and was noisy. Very comfortable bed and TV. The right size for your baby's crib.
Correct buffet breakfast, without many, the only thing to highlight is the fresh orange juice.
The pkg costs 20 / day and do not park your car, they do it for you ... something uncomfortable if you use it several times a day.
In short, a correct hotel, which does not measure up to 5 stars.

Good all-round hotel with easy access to the main things to do in Bilbao. Friendly service as well, and for a (20 Euro) fee they will park your car for you.

As soon as we arrived, the hotel disappointed us. It is very outdated and very poorly preserved. The attention, although correct, is not adequate for what is expected of a 5-star hotel. Small room, old and not particularly clean.
The only good thing is the location that is great and the silence.
I have been to many infinitely superior 4 stars.

It is a hotel that is good for sightseeing in Bilbao city. It is well located in the center, besides the workers are very kind and attentive. As negative points I put the internet that is very slow and intermittent, breakfast that is very basic and nothing special, besides that starts at 7:30, which if you come to work may be that you have to lose. It says it's a 5 star hotel but I do not see it that way.

Having stayed 3 nights I was able to evaluate this hotel which I found in an excellent position. The entrance is not very pleasant; in the common parts I found a tasteful and clean furniture, in the room I did not find Italian TV channel, I did not like the Moquette, appreciated the rich courtesy set with slippers and bathrobe, water and tray with macarones also very welcome (too bad the tray was removed 2 days after having emptied it). Once in the room the toilet paper was half roll and a spare one leaning casually on the toilet bowl lid (it is not 5-star ...) and the replacement of the paper there was only once fortunately they invented paper towels Daily bed linen change only on top and some pillowcases (note that the bottom sheet was not changed), excellent breakfast we would have liked a few more slices of cake, pity a small but functional room with friendly staff available and discreet. Regarding the category certainly not a 5 Star but a 4 Star poor. Not welcome inspection before checkuot in our absence with window opening but finally removing empty macarones tray

Luxury hotel. Quiet despite being in the center. Very careful in anti-Covid standards, in fact, for this reason, they did not have a breakfast room available, but they brought it to our room at the time we requested, complete, freshly made and of quality. They were very nice to us from the first moment. And they had a very nice detail to know that the reason for the reservation was to spend our wedding night. Little great things that make you feel special.

There was an event in the lobby, above the entrance that was a bit disturbing.

We ate there on Christmas day in a reserved, everything perfect both food and staff. It is near the center about 5-10 minutes from moyua. After eating we went down to the bar where we played pool and had a few drinks. Highly recommended for a celebration in conditions.

Great location in the center of town. Walking distance from the Guggenheim and all the local pintxo bars. Service was exceptional right from reception to us checking out. Room had an old school charm to it.
