Wonderfully designed, cleaned and maintained room in a fabulous location.
Awesome place...friendly staff...wouldn't stay anywhere else in D.C.
My advice to you: never visit this restaurant. The elderly waiter copied my card, and tried to steal the money, had to block it. The kitchen is terrible, for the first time in America I ate heated pasta.
Excellent hotel experience during our recent DC trip. The restaurant there had great service and healthful, tasty food! I highly recommend this hotel.
So we come in late at night , receptionist was very sleepy and had no idea what was going on , go in the room , very small but cute , bathroom no fan , no hair drier , no way to open the window ( because there are offices with glass doors right near the hotel ) , pillows ( the worst I ve ever seen ) very loud generator or Ac units all night , early morning trucks driving and stopping right under the window ,
Morning desk girl was nice , but she had to call the person to bring the heir drier 3-4 times before 40 minutes later he d bring it .
Breakfast room it s nice .
Loved the room and staff were super friendly. The bed was too firm for my liking but otherwise a great stay.
Hotel Lombardy is an amazing place to stay. Let Nathan, Mohammed, JP, and the rest of the efficient staff take care of you while visiting the District.
If a fat lesbian cat woman was a hotel. It would be hotel lombardy. We were given 2 bottes of water for our 2 nights at this hotel with 4 guests and when I asked for more complementary water he told me to WALK MY ASS TO CVS!!! In his defense his english was a little sheisty but still our throats are SO dry!!! Also this hotel smells like must and was clearly not remodeled since the 1920s. I m giving this hotel 1 star because I can t give it 0.
Great location close to the White House. Historic hotel with old world decorations. Needs a bit of upkeep with time and wear of carpet. Price is very affordable for DC. Doormen are courteous and friendly.
Great location and nice room however some rooms have refrigerators and some don't but apparently cost the same.
Nice Hotel, be sure to visit the Venetian room (Bar on the 1st floor) in the back.
Wonderfully located, clean and quaint! Very historic feel. The walls, ceilings, and floors are very thin because it s an old building but the rooms themselves were very lovely. Hotel staff was friendly and very accommodating. We were able to leave our things after checking out since we couldn t check into our next hotel yet. Very good location near metro.
Nothing wrong or bad, nothing great. Basic, older, and (at least my room) limited AC.
The most beautiful, quaint, historic, and cozy home-away-from-home feel. I've never loved a DC hotel like this one!
Superb, central, cosy, clean, welcoming and friendly staff. Very central for day tripping around Washington DC. Great breakfast and food in hotel.
Everything was clean and neat. The bathroom was a bit small, but the windowed shower and bathroom layout made it a wonderful experience to use and more than made up for the size.
Style points for having the look and feel of the late 1700s - everything from the lobby to the hallways and room. The bed and pillows were a bit hard and uncomfortable, but that could just be me.
Hotel room was clean and confy. Staff at entrance was very friendly and helpful. Hotel location was not the best and restaurant price was outrageous. Worst WiFi (free) I have ever seen. Overall ok experience but I'm sure you can find so many better options for the price.
Unbelievable find. What a gem in D.C. If you are looking for charm and true old school attention to detail and ambiance, this is the place. Hints of Bombay with attentive service and a price that is unheard of in this city, seriously look no further. I will be back again, and again.
The lounge/bar area had a nice atmosphere and comfortable seating.
Doormen with white gloves. Nice. The Venecian bar has a great historian for a bartender. Wonderful old boutique hotel.
Pros: The rooms are nice. AC gets very cold. The staff is helpful. The location is awesome for sight seeing.
Cons: you can hear things outside of the rooms pretty clearly and the hotel is near a hospital so many times those things are sirens. Also the hotel feels old; old elevators, squeaky floor boards, old art, etc. Might not be a con if that's what you're in to.
Very pleasant and helpful staff. Very nice decorations and atmosphere. Just be careful about parking outside. My car was there for 5 min while I was checking in and I got a $45 parking ticket.
Exceptional location, mega organized and clean, excellent service.
I enjoyed this old quaint hotel. Not a regal or luxurious hotel but good comfortable lodging with style. Rooms have not been updated in a long time.
2nd time here and a little disapointed when Im told no desert is served in the bar........and the woman to my side was finishing her desert. And while I truely understand price markup and being in business to make a profit the $16.50 bourbon was the most expensive one I've had in DC.
Charming older hotel. Was converted from condos so some rooms have kitchenettes. Showers could use refurb. Great staff.
Went there to pick up my guest. Employees were very helpful and kind. The atmopshere is neat.
Classy hotel, really liked it, service was nice too, very clean.
Nice old feel but up to date and clean. Booked a nice deal on a weekend rate a couple of months out. Could be very costly based on rack rate.
Charming, welcoming, cosy, perfectly clean, efficient, comfortable, conveniently located. A perfect stay.
The service was very good and we enjoyed the location. It's one of the reasons we chose Hotel Lombardy; It has a quaint feel. There's a mini-fridge with drinks for sale inside the room. We're glad we didn't have food that needed to be refrigerated, but the hotel does have ice. We had a good overnight stay.
Pretty good overall. Rooms are dated with the exception of the kitchen area which is kind of epic.
Great location near the national mall - takes about 20 minutes to get to the Lincoln Memorial. Surrounded by CVS Pharmacies which are great for quick purchases. Ice has to be delivered to rooms which can take about 30 minutes. Sometimes the surrounding streets and construction can be loud overnight. We requested to move our room up a few floors due to loud construction sounds on the 4th floor. The elevator broke down once and the gym isn't anything special.
Parents stay here for vacation. Great location, good service, okay facility.
If you love vintage hotel, this is for you! It is strategically located in the city and it's walking distance to all the main attractions such as The White House and the rest of the museum. The best brunch - Founding Farmers is only 300m away! Check out Expedia for best rate!
Good customer service, nice hotel, but $42 for overnight parking plus an $8 parking tax, ridiculous.
Awesome, Toyin was wonderful at breakfast. Love my room.
Great place, great location, nice rooms, very nice people.
Hotel very well located, 10 'walk from the Casablanca. Very attentive staff
Although they lack of plugs and little luminosity in the rooms
The room is very comfortable, the staff extremely nice and friendly. Decoration in the room, including most of the fixtures is from mid 1900's which gives it a nice and pleasant retro environment. Everything is clean and cozy.
The staff were all very friendly and professional. The room was extremely clean and comfortable.
A very cute hotel. Really kept the feel of the ol' days
Lovely hotel! Don't order the breakfast, I'm sure that inmates eat better. It was also extremely overpriced.
Overall this is a great hotel with a lot of charm. This is an older hotel that has kept a lot of its glamor and charm while still being clean and comfortable. The only thing that would make it better would be adding some electrical outlets near the night stand to make it easier to charge phones.
Great position. Clean hotel. Very nice tiny bar. But the rooms with the windows on the backside of the hotel are a little loud because of the aircondition machines.
But the staff is very friendly and once agian: the bar is very special.
Hotel Lombardy was a great experience and value for a DC hotel accessible to downtown. Rooms are very clean, quiet, well maintained, and historic feel, so more interesting than your standard hotel fare. Definitley stay on in return as long as dates stay reasonable.
Historic Hotel, nice location, wonderful little cafe with a nice view. Rooms are smaller, but you expect that with a historic property. It has tiny elevators, lots of steps to get in main entrance. It does have Fire Sprinklers but the exits are too close together (not code compliant with today's requirements).
Lighting in the room was very poor. Two of the four lamps in the room did not work. Referred to front desk, repairman was only able to fix one of the two lamps. It was very difficult to get to an outlet for charging phones and pads. I realize this is an older hotel but they need to get to the 21 century with some basics. Also $5.00 for a cup of coffee is unacceptable!
The breakfast was great for the group but the beds were stiff.
Quaint historically designed building. Rooms are upgraded. Very central.
Can have better services. Carpet is old and not the cleanest. Internet is up and down but never very good. Disappears often.
We were in DC to attend a concert at DAR Constitution Hall. We stayed at the Hotel Lombardy which was less than a mile away from the theater. The hotel was beautiful and it seemed very historical but yet modern. It was just a few minute ride from the venue by Uber.
