The manager of the restaurant allows herself to raise the voice of the guests and shout at them when asked why instead of cheese there is an IMITATIVE PRODUCT in the salad !!! Eating is scarce and offensive, a little 3 types of main and 3 types of salads .... the rest are sauces ... the guest does not take but put a chef to put at his discretion I understand that gourmet is what they put and it is a mediocre bun cooked with a minimum of products ...
Old base ... depreciated furniture .. The bartender at the bar teases you in the weight of the whiskey in less than 0.004 seconds and by hand without measure .. But otherwise it is clean .. In no case this hotel is 4 stars !!! !! Absurd ...

Today is a second day and I have no remarks about the hotel and the staff.

Good hotel with good food array. This is my 4th stay here and I keep coming back. Not in the centre of town but the shuttle bus works well. I think the only improvements I would make would be to improve the WiFi bandwidth for evenings- it is awful when everyone gets back to the hotel. Also the mattresses are quite hard so some change there would be great.

Calm quiet hotel, definitely a lot of stars, but it works. The pool and gym are small. The food is average, there is no variety ...
There was no bath towel by the bathtub, so there was an accident with a woman.

The place is cozy. The staff is friendly. The food is good.

The hotel is surrounded by pine trees, cozy and quiet. Clean and spacious rooms, good hygiene, courteous staff. The spa is small, unfortunately the herbal sauna did not work during our stay. But I would definitely come back again.

A wonderful place to rest, both in summer and in winter. The hotel is conveniently located for excursions. It has many rooms corresponding to the hotel category. The restaurant and tavern are spacious and cozy. The food is perfect. The service is excellent. The car park is large enough.

The hotel is isolated from the town and is located in a very cozy part of the forest (it's a literal 1-2min drive to be at the town center). The rooms are all modern and have everything you need. There is a very well-stocked bar at the lobby with 2 floors where you can sit, or you can play at the pool table. Alongside the modern restaurant there is a traditional Bulgarian Mehana you can eat at. The indoor pool have a beautiful view of the forest, due to the glass. The spa and gym are also very well equipped. The hotel also has a front parking and a pretty big back parking lots, but if the hotel is filled to capacity cars tend to fill up the lots.

A very clean hotel. Beautifully located in the forest, not in the center of Borovec, which can be reached on foot on sidewalks within a short time.
Spa area also clean and pretty. With full guest occupancy in the winter maybe a bit small, but in the summer during the week no problem to find a free sauna.
To all Scandinavians and Germans: Here is rehabilitated with swimsuit. Many guests do not use towels inside the wooden saunas despite the instructions on the doors.
Breakfast is ok, rich, but without attention to detail. Do not be fooled by the pictures that go through the TV in your room. We have searched in vain for the tomatoes on the fried egg.
Cheese plate in the evening is not recommended, also here the love for the detail and it is u.a. Sliced cheese served. But the plate is big.
Lava Cake for dessert is outstanding!
At full capacity, parking is full but well accessible around the hotel. The road to Sofia is very well developed.
For trips to the mountains (Musala Peak) just the place, as not so tourists overcrowded such as the 7-lake tour in the Rila Mountains.

Clean and spacious rooms, good kitchen, nice staff, very good spa with inside pool, but poor gym. It is in the old part of Borovetz, but may be exactly therefore it is very good for walking around. The food at breakfast was good in general. The bar in the lobby especially with the outside tables was a pleasure as a service and with the cocktails offered there. The hotel is good, I would go there again with pleasure and I definitely recommend it.

Good hotel, everything was good. All we need and asked for was there. Only minus is paying for parking around hotel, it is around 4 eur per day.

Not bad, spacious and clean rooms, relatively good spa center - sauna, steam bath and relax zone, inside swimming pool, poor gym, certain things of the kitchen very good, others - nothing special. The hotel is in the old part of Borovetz, but definitely renovated and well furnished. The indoor swimming pool is heated, the relax zone is very good. I was there with friends and we all liked it and would go there again with pleasure. I recommend it.

First time to Borovets. Excellent stay. Hotel is a 5 minute walk to the main street in town/ski lifts, or there is a free shuttle bus every 20 minutes. Both breakfast and dinner buffets were great with plenty of choice - breakfast included hot options/ yoghurts/ cereals and cold meats and cheese. Dinner always had at least 2 meat, one fish, one veggie option and salad bar.
Sauna and pool facilities were excellent. Rooms spacious and clean. All staff very friendly. Small shop has reasonably priced snacks and toiletries.
Also, beer and wine included in evening meal and mini bar in the room is the same pricing as small shop.

Great hotel, like interior. But I had never seen so many people in one place, in a closed restaurant. No organization in terms of gathering people for breakfast and Covid19!

Cosy, warm and clean hotel with indoor heated swimming pool & Spa and relaxation area with individual pods to chill out. Hotel is situated in the woods, in a quiet but pretty location. It has an open fireplace in the lobby & comfy sofas, games room for children, ski hire shop.
We stayed there for ski holidays and loved everything about this hotel. It has a free shuttle to the slops, every 20 min. Dinner and breakfast is buffet style with plenty of choice (meat, fish, soups, pasta, pizzas etc) and fresh fruit & veg. Pancakes for breakfast every other day. Not so great selection of desserts but always something to choose from, we did not complain!
Guests ratio was 60% Bulgarian and 40% English.
I loved the relaxed atmosphere there where you don't have to dress up glamorous to dinner if you don't fancy.
We will definitely book Lion next year!

The value for money was clear in our favor! I stayed a stay of 6 nights, with half board, at the end of January 2021, in the large room with balcony, for which I paid 390 euros.

Large, decent room; they changed our towels whenever needed. Very warm (about 325), although several rooms were cold (we were a larger group).

Very good food: although the breakfast was a bit repetitive, you always had a choice, enough and appetizing. At dinner, I had good draft beer at my discretion, white / rose / black wine, juices at the dispenser and water.

The SPA area was excellent: small pool with heated water, 2 dry saunas and 2 hammams (which were closed for covid) + relaxation area and massage. Bathrobes are given at the reception for a fee: 5 levs / piece / stay.

Transport to the slope is provided, starting with 8.00, at an interval of 20 min.

There is also an "a la carte" restaurant + bar, there is an area to leave skis and boots. There is a ski equipment rental center, on the ground floor, etc.

Conclusion: a successful vacation; we will probably be back !!

Luxury hotel for a ski resort. Since I visited previously we now get free wine with evening meal, which is a nice touch. Smallish hotel and friendly. Nice rooms. Enough hot water. A bit of an issue with digital door "keys" but staff are keen to help.

The rooms are very spacious and have a beautiful view. The tavern is very pleasant. Breakfast was very tasty and abundant.

The hotel is relatively new and is located in a very beautiful place, although it is a little further from the center of the complex. The rooms are comfortable. I consider as a minus that some of them are without balconies. The food and service are good.

I booked our 7night Christmas break in September - so hardly last minute. Looking throught the hotel website the rooms seemed to be large, airy, with additional seating area and balcony.
On arrival we were given room 607 - what a nightmare. The room was tiny, airless and dark. There were no windows (just 2 skylights- which when we first opened them resulted in us getting covered in snow), there was no balcony, and just one dining room style chair between the two of us.
Each morning my partner (who luckily is nearly 6ft) had to clear the snow off the top of the skylights so we could have a bit of fresh air as the room was stifling. I had no chance of seeing the view being only 5 ft! The radiators which only seemed to come on in the night were realy noisy as was the plumbing.
We asked on our first day (24 Dec) if there was chance of a room change but was told this was not posisble but they would let us know should one become available. On 26th when it appeared people were leavng we again asked and again was told no but they would let us know, there were several times over the week when guests came/went but at no time were we offered the promised change.

The staff is great, we felt very spoiled. They were constantly lying around us and were interested in how we spend. Very polite and responsive. The food in the restaurant is superb! The included breakfast and dinner we had were very varied and delicious. They were constantly changing and warm. The hotel is very clean and spacious. Thanks for the wonderful vacation!

Without remarks. We did a great job. The rooms are large, staff helpful, smiling and always greets. The food is at a level, the setting in the restaurant too. The spa center is nice and clean, with a nice relax zone. Only the pool is small for the size of the hotel. There is ample parking space. I recommend!

The hotel is wonderful. We used the spa and we were pleased. The rooms are clean and comfortable for families, and the staff is smiling and kind.
The only thing I did not like was the noise that was rising in the late hours.

Water flowed through the lamp in the bathroom at 23:00 and we had to choose between changing the room immediately or waiting until 8 in the morning when a technician would come to "fix" the problem.
The beds have been made and I will not set foot in this semblance of a hotel and a relaxation center for the second time
