Taida is the administrator, a woman's love, we had a super nice time. The place is very cozy and decorated in a Caribbean style, all the rooms are different, it is like staying in a relative's house, they believe in the honesty of who is staying there, there is a terrace on the 3rd floor where there is also a kitchen for Prepare your own food, there are cookies and drinks and you leave the money for what you consumed yourself. You can take items of snorkels, towel, games ...
It is 3 blocks from the beach, in front of the market. The hotel has wifi and air conditioning, a small Jacuzzi on the 3rd floor. , you are one. And block from the bars.
RECOMMENDATION: hamburgers on the corner of the hotel, have breakfast in the market for $ 50 pesos, the sunrise in the walkway of the island that is behind the market. Go to heaven (beach where there are starfish, beautiful swimming experience)

Merry Xmas to Katy Val and Barry, the best HOSTS and Owners of the beautiful LAS PALMAS HOTEL on Isla Mujeres. I just spent a week there, and can honestly say it's a 5 star rating with a down home feeling. Extra clean, superb maids and a rooftop patio with open kitchen, dipping pool, and hammocks with lots of shaded reading areas. Just steps away from beautiful safe beaches, local restaurants and local markets. Truly MEXICAN JEM. I'll be back. Hope they'll have me

If you want to spend a truly Caribbean stay, you have to visit this beautiful hotel.
The decoration is a whole journey of colors, phrases and very Mexican Caribbean touches. Each room is special. They have two very nice terraces, one of them has a small little shelter to cool off. In front of the hotel is the market. And behind the hotel is the pedestrian walkway where there are several bars and restaurants, one block away is the most beautiful beach I have ever known. North Point.
The attention is friendly and quite accessible to your needs.
I fell in love with this place.

We wanted to try something different away from the resorts on the mainland, just so the kids don t get spoiled with the resorts. Las Palmas was perfect for that!

It s a bit hard to describe...part AirBnB, part boutique hotel...but our stay was outstanding. Kate recommended one of the larger rooms on the 3rd floor, and it was big enough to hold two adults with 9 & 7 year olds. We stashed a travel pump-up mattress under the day bed, and it worked great. It took our older boy a couple days to get use to the new surroundings, but by the end of our stay he liked it a lot. The Mexican Dream room was very well done, with a spacious fridge, cool marble tile, and a nice bathroom. All very comfortable.

Tiana and Antonio were great hosts, leaving you alone when you want privacy but always answering questions for first-time island visitors. The maid staff cleaned your room for a suggested 50-pesos tip every day. The dipping pools gets a little warm, but still fine...we are from Texas and use to warm pool water this time of year.

Tons of places to eat nearby, including the main drag of restaurants one block to the west. A plethora of options. You will pay more $$$ in the tourist spots for food (especially if the restaurant looks nice!), but there are great hole-in-the-wall type options nearby that will get you great local food at a cheaper price. There were a bunch of these within a couple blocks of the hotel, but they are all over the island as well. Our favorite was this little place just south of the hotel (southern corner of Guerrero and Matamoros)....25 tacos for 500 pesos. What a feast....enough food for 2 meals for all 4 of us.

Super Aki is a great little market within walking distance. I d also recommend renting a golf cart and making a stop at the bigger market (the mini Walmart) down in Chedraui while touring the island. Easy place to load up with water and other goods.

Two really good rental places for scooters and carts are just southeast of the hotel. Cheaper than renting something near the main drag along the port area. 500 pesos for a scooter rental for 24 hours is very reasonable, and there s room to park them in front of the hotel.

Great memories. Read up on the hotel to understand what you are getting. It is NOT a resort, but we liked that change. Prices seem very appropriate for what you get on the island.

Glad we found this place by chance and hope to make it back someday!

I know there are many ways to vacation but for me this hotel I liked a lot because of the conditioning of the common areas and the atmosphere of camaraderie and trust between its staff and the guests who visit it.

Where do I start??? The owner and staff are FABULOUS!! The property is run like a family so if you like the family ,kind, loving, being part of a village rather than being just a customer than this is the place for you. The rooms are clean and the beds are comfy! The location is right in Centro. LOVE LOVE LOVE

Relaxing, social, and ideal for those who like to make new friends. Not ideal for children, as there is not a wading or swimming pool. There are, however, many conversation areas (some in sun and many shaded), a dipping pool, a full kitchen for anyone to use (pot-luck meals!), a fridge in every room, and NO televisions (yes!). We're here every year, and now for six weeks.

I returned yesterday. I'm sad. I miss everything about this place. I arrived 2 weeks after my Dad passed away and I instantly had a new family. I toured this property around 5 years ago and always wanted to stay there. I got my wish and arrived on Valentines Day.

From the owners to the other guests I don't know that I have ever felt so welcome somewhere. The location gives you access to restaurants, shops and beaches. It is very safe and I would highly recommend it if you are traveling alone.

GREAT water pressure and hot water for showers. The rooms are clean, bright and cheery. There are many places to sit and read a book, play a game of cards, lounge in a hammock or make a snack.

Kate offers hospitality and knowledge about the island. She also takes care of all of the little things that make this place the ONLY place I want to stay on Isla. For me it was a huge plus that she has an adorable little dog because I always miss mine while traveling. I was always greeted with smiles when I encountered the people who work at the property.

Kate, I will see you in a year See you in a year (if not sooner).
