It is good because it is good for swimming and the surroundings are quiet. There are Starbucks and Mart in front of the hotel. The hotel is a clean resort rather than a hotel, but it is good for a few days.
Whilst not a 5-star hotel per se, the Kristal has been a 5-star experience for me during each of my medium length stays to date (4-8 weeks) for business trips to Jakarta. Rooms are nicely appointed with very comfortable beds and good size bathrooms. All staff without exception have been courteous and helpful during my stays. Pleasant restaurant on site, also used for ample buffet breakfast, and well as a good bar with ample indoor and outdoor seating with a range of beers on tap at reasonable prices.

Good location at Jakarta selatan, quite near to Pondok Indah Mall about 10 to 15mins by taxi, considering good already as Jakarta is known with bad congested traffic. The facilities quite good, beautiful pool they have. We stayed at the apartment unit. Large kitchenette and living room. Not so new but still good and well taken care. Hallway are lighten up well.

Hotel services that haven't changed since years, serving many expats who live there and never feel discrimination. My advice is to stop by the cafe / restaurant and order salmon teriyaki, you won't regret it compared to the money you spend
Good family hotel to stay before you found your own place. Please note the laundry full service at tower 3. Much better rates than the in-room laundry services.

For a place to stay it is okay, the location is strategic because it is close to Pondok Indah. There is a room type in which there are 3/2 rooms, so for us who sometimes need space for meetings until the wee hours can use the room.

The hotel is quite comfortable and the size of the room is quite large. There is a dining table, pentry, large sofa in front of the TV and separate rooms. This place can be made a comfortable place, if you get bored sleeping at home this place can be made an alternative. For families, they can invite children to swim in the hotel pool which is very adequate. Access to shopping centers such as the PI mall and point square is quite close.
Even though the hotel is old, but all facilities are very adequate, only a few corners are rather dirty, and some of the security is not friendly
