A lovely hotel right in the heart of Barcelona. Go...
A lovely hotel right in the heart of Barcelona. Gorgeous decor and lovely staff. Be very careful of pick pockets around the streets though. I was targeted the first night!

Thank you so much, if I could give ten stars I would! My husband and I didn't even stay here but received such generosity and kindness from Maite who went above and beyond for me and my husband when we didn't have a place to stay the night in Barcelona. We can't thank you enough for your amazing help!!
Pleasant staff at reception, mold in the bathroom, asked to change rooms. But someone painted over the mold and said it was loose! Messy breakfast. Not even an excuse when we left the hotel earlier than imagined! Totally worthless.
Comfortable hotel, more than expected, central location for everything.
Recommended for everyone, families, couples, etc.
Rooms are nice, if a bit smaller than they look on the website. Rooftop terrace is lovely to relax at.
Excellent location, good functional rooms very pleased.
We booked and payed for a stay during the protests. We asked kindly to think of a solution because we travel with a child and could not come during the chaos but no solution, they have all our money did not offer a voucher. Extremely disappointing!
Good location but I stayed at 3rd floor and near the street. There is some loud noise from outside.
Everything about the place was great, staff, building, room, location
Average hotel 2 minutes from the rambla of Barcelona
The restaurant is owned by a chef who owns three Michelin stars. The tasting menu is phenomenal and has a relatively cheap price compared to other starred restaurants in other European countries.
The hotel is beautiful and the room was a decent size and comfortable. The staff are really professional and couldn't be more helpful but the amenities could be improved. The pool is tiny, it's more like a big bath than a swimming pool and the breakfast is the worst I've ever had from a hotel of this standard. We didn't even bother with it after the first morning - we went out for it.
Lovely hotel. Beautiful breakfast room and some lovely patios and original features dotted around the hotel. Really got a sense of the history within the building
The place is very beautiful and the attention tembe. We ate the weekend menu 37. Good value for money. To come back
Spectacular Very good service. Cukna singular and good.
Beautiful renovation. Staff friendly and accomodating, rooms comfortable and clean.
Good location. Hotel servise and the rooms are very good. Spent there 3 nights.
Very bad hotel and the area is not good for looking
Good location of the hotel, it is very central and you can walk 4 or 5 minutes to Plaza Catalunya. The problem is that the rooms are too small and that makes them uncomfortable and also the breakfast they offer is quite bad as there are only a few how many cuts of cold meat, a lot of bread, coffee, Spanish omelet cold and bad taste and it seems that two or three more foods, is important for a hotel of not very low price that offered better service of desatuno
From the checking in at Reception until you are assisted with your luggage when leaving -the experience is world class.. Brilliant location as well.
Really beautiful hotel and friendly and helpful staff! Also loved the relaxing rooftop terrace bar and pool! Definitely recommend.
Food not so good as to be michelin star, excellent service with measured times as if it were a Swiss watch, personal educadisimo, cordial and pleasant. It is worth the 40 menu but go without very high expectations.
Good service. Very nice, shame of the surroundings and the delinquency of the barriio
A classic in which I always stay for work because it is completely renovated. Its breakfast room with its tiles is a sight to admire. Excellent service, especially by the reception department. New hotel, clean. Good location
I cannot select the 5 stars because I didn't eat in this hotel but everything else was great. The rooms clean and nice. The people are very nice too.
Very good experience and the hotel is right in the middle of everything you need.
Hotel al centre de Barcelona, al costat mateix del Teatre del Liceu. El restaurant es dirigit per Martin Berasategui.
The birth dinner was very good but could improve the attention times
Fabulous tasting menu Martin Berasategui's hand shows. Highly recommended Excellent service.
A gourmet restaurant in an authentic modernist lounge. Crazy romantic!
Excellent position, staff kind and helpful, rooms are fully equipped and recently refurnished. A 4* worth a 5*++
Fantastic restaurant.
A great gastronomic experience half a minute from the Liceu, in a modernist environment.
Super recommended!
Bad cleaning the balcony glass does not even cover the evening music
great staff, good bar, really good (and accommodating) restaurant
Excellent location, excellent location, quiet, clean and modern rooms.
Excellent location, helpful staff, reasonable price
Excellent location right in the heart of La Rambla, but on a relatively quiet street and well insulated from any outside noise. The rooms were excellent and the staff were always extremely friendly and helpful. I hope to return again soon! :-)
Luxury hotel restaurant. The beautiful modernist building. Hotel service I do not know, I did not sleep
Cute hotel just off of La Rambla. We opted for this hotel based on the pictures but should have reconsidered. While the hotel pics are exactly what you get i.e. modern, fun, classy, and definitely clean its definitely style over function.
The sink in our room was about four feet long. Not bad but the counter was also 4 feet long. No place for getting ready. There were two really cool faucets but they were hard to control and splashed water everywhere but the four foot sinks.
The showers are really really cool. Rain heads from the ceiling and a slick stream of water from the center. These are all controlled, including the temperature, but turning one of four handles. Problem: When your hands are wet you cannot turn a polished chrome handle that is about 2" in diameter.
We were excited for the roof top bar. Cool pics and lots of advertising urging us to visit and look out over Barcelona. We were there 5 days and the bar never opened once.
Erika at the front desk is very helpful. She really tries hard and does well at her job. Her associate during the day (gentleman) is equally helpful and very nice. The nighttime staff might as well go home. Nothing more to say there.
I wouldn't stay again but I would not necessarily state no one should. It has charm just style over function.
Well... I've been in so many hotels all over the world in my life - for sure , this one I will NOT Return! I don't recommend it !
It could have been more clean. Air condition didn't work well in the room and It bad .
But .. location was good.
And I had an AMAZING company ;) so...
Who cared . But I will not return to this hotel !
Big NO !
Nice architecture but rooms are small. Customer service in front desk could be better.
Such a lovely and beautiful hotel, location is great and staff are friendly :)
Nice hotel, very lovingly prepared. The pictures I used were the view from the balcony. Older house, but modern decor in the rooms, very nice bathroom and everything was very clean. Staff were always very friendly and helpful. Great location in the immediate vicinity of the Ramblas in one of the many small narrow streets. I personally highly recommend it and would book it again anytime
Hotel was beautiful and was in perfect central location for shopping and general touristy activities. Staff was nice and accommodating. Our triple occupancy was a bit tight but would be perfect for a couple.
Very good breakfast and excellent service minded staff. The location is also very good.
It has a chill out terrace but no views of the city
The dining room is impressive, lamps rajolas and large windows with stained glass
Really nice hotel just off La Rambla, so right in the middle of everything. Metro stop (Liceu) is very close by too. Jordi in reception was so helpful with every query we threw at him.
As a travel agent:
The hotel looks historical from the outside but inside is modern beauty. My sister didn't want to leave the room! Free wifi and a gorgeous set up of furniture. Outstanding service for everyone. Breakfast was about 9 Euro and also delicious.
Hotel Espana is located near many sites and the train so it makes it easy for travel and not spend money on taxis.
The bedrooms are clean and comfy. A terrific place to visit! only regret is nothing looked Spanish at Espana.
Wonderful modernist place in the center of Barcelona.
Price performance do not agree at all! We had booked a room with a terrace for 4 days for almost 1200 euros ... you could have thrown out the window. Room was not really clean on arrival, shower calcified water stinks of chlorine. Well room services left a lot to be desired! By that I mean the cleaning! Was completely overlooked on the 2nd day and then wiped the other days so fast over it. Toilet paper holder was broken too. Terrace was in the backyard with a concrete wall view including greenery. In the evening was the room and the hall to the room so overheated because the air conditioning also brought nothing. Of course I opened the "terrace door", but then had fresh air mixed with fat smell from the kitchen in the room. The alleged oh so great breakfast ... I'll make myself a hornier in any case! Everything fake reviews in my opinion the breakfast would have been so great ... since people apparently have not had a good breakfast! The pillows to sleep were the purest disaster! Neck pain hello! on demand for a normal standard pillow there is not. A star I give because the entrance / reception area, has a really nice design and the smell is beautiful! Staff have been friendly except one of the evenings always the door "opens". Very unsympathetic. The hotel is located in the middle of the city, in a side street which is not nice. But you can look good over it. In any case, I would not recommend this hotel!
Spectacular, great breakfast. First class service. Room with space, cleaning every day.
A modernist jewel. Wonderful the fireplace of Eusebi Arnau and the canteens, especially the great one, today of the sirens, with paintings attributed to Ramon Casas.
Not very good Not good enough, like a beautiful but not good enough. Insufficient training of hotel staff
A very good hotel hidden perhaps in a part of BCN that even being right next to the center of Barcelona, is not the best. But as soon as you enter it you realize that you have chosen the right Hotel in the right place. The attention of all the staff is first class and they make you feel at home. They also have a great detail at the entrance of the Hotel (for all those who like music to me), they have a Grand Piano which lets you play as much if you know as if it is the case.
On the other hand their prices given the quality they offer you, they are very well the truth.
Without a doubt I will return ...
Central position. Excellent service. Highly recommended
Dining here, with a Michelin-recommended restaurant, should be outstanding
But very disappointed, the amount is small, the meal is salty.
Starter The squid is not fresh, it shouldn't be sweet, but it has a scent.
Beef is even worse, you can t enter it at all, it s pressed against the salty sauce.
Cenanos a kind of tasting menu, highly recommended for a special dinner. Cost around 100 euros, for two people, with bottle of wine included.
Very nice Hotel. Lovely breakfast. Only negative is that our bedtoom was bit small. Did not worry us but it may some.
The place is charming. We ate in the restaurant the New Year's menu and although it was not bad, it was not up to the local and the service that was exceptional. Anyway, we will repeat because the experience in general was very good. You have to book in advance
The modernist facade of the Hotel Spain is very beautiful. I have not been hosted.
Restau of Mr. Berasategui still inventive but it is not Donostia!
