Very nice quaint hotel in a good location. The room was clean and comfortable... bathroom had a nice bath tub and large shower room. Beds were comfortable with plush pillows. Service was attentive, friendly and pleasant. We had dinner at the restaurant and it was good too.... it s close to restaurants and shops so that made it convenient... and tram stop was just a 5 minute walk and a 10 mins tram ride to city centre. Overall a really pleasant stay at the hotel. Would definitely recommend the hotel.

This hotel is in THE perfect location in Amsterdam. The rooms aren t anything special , big bedroom with all that one would expect and a lovely bathroom that includes a bath . No window with view but as for its situation it s right beside the food Hallen a place that is full of atmosphere and great food! There is a cinema beside it also. The number 17 tram brings you straight to it from the city centre - I d certainly stay here again . Finally I have to mention the very friendly welcome from those on reception they were very helpful with all sorts of advice the sort of employees you would want working for you in this business

Very cool hotel, in the middle of Amsterdam. A former repair workshop (Remise) for the old trams of Amsterdam. In an adhacend building you can find a food court with a wide variety of cuisines from all over the world. Food Court The Hallen! A must C!

We chose the hotel because of their beautiful modern interior. When we got there the hotel was truly a delight, decor-wise, ambience, food outlets and shops within walking distance. And....there is a big beautiful mosque about 10 minutes walk away! Staff were friendly and courteous. Truly happy guests we were.

Just an amazingly beautifull Design hotel situated 15min walking distance from the center but with great food facilities (food hallen, a must try it for everyone) just 1min away ! The hotel is super clean , new rooms , very friendly staff (Luigi and Catarina were really helpful during the check in !) And the breakfast is good and fresh , although too basic.
When I made the reservation, I mentioned was our 5th anniversary and they get us an amazing surprise! Thank you
Would recommend everyone .

The hotel was comfortable, beautiful, well located (a "neighbor" of the food hallen) and near the tram stops. There are also a few cafe's nearby, if you don't want to have breakfast in the hotel.
Overall, we were really happy about the choice.

BE VERY CAREFUL when booking this hotel!! Do not book a non-refundable fare as they have ZERO willingness to work with you if you do not show up or the reservation is canceled. You can not re-book for another stay, they just take your money and run!

This is the second time we have stayed here and it was magical again. We had joining rooms so the kids sleep in one and us in the other. Staff are very helpful and friendly, the hotel is well designed and warm.

Fabulously designed hotel in a restored tram stall. Excellent cocktails and coffee at the bar and a good buffet breakfast. Only drawbacks are rooms without openable windows and lack of separation between the sleeping area and bathroom.

Hotel is situated 3 km from the Central station, which I managed to walk in just under 30 minutes. The reception is bright and the staff very helpful and friendly. The area around the reception and leading to the rooms is quite quirky with vintage couches, tables and ornaments (even an indoor swing). Room is a good size with separate shower and bath. Only let downs are; the room, located downstairs and connected exterior, did not have windows, and the WiFi signal was poor. Local tram stop is nearby and there are many amenities closeby including De Hallen foodhall, bars and grocers.

Very hip and stylish with antiques and vintage interior for sale. I found the rooms too small for two ok if you are travelling by yourself. Located in trendy area with loads of bars, cafes and designer stores.

Hotel De Hallen is built inside the large former tram garage in Amsterdam Old-West. Can be reached easily by Tram 17 from Central Station. This is now an ultra-trendy place with a.o. a Television studio, a large food court (Foodhallen) and this hotel. The hotel has also restaurant Remise47 inside. The hotel is a building inside a building to avoid modifications to the momumental outside. This makes it nice and quiet. Decorations are very nice. Pleasant to have Nespreso coffee in the room, although just two cups was a little on the scringy side. The room was comfortable and attractive although I did not like very much the polished concrete floor. Wifi signal did not make it into my room. There is no fitness as far as I have been able to see.

The staff were professional and very friendly, and they knew how to make me feel special on my birthday! The rooms were exactly what we were hoping for, comfortable beds, clean and an overall modern style that just made you feel relaxed. Very interesting hotel, situated in a renovated tram station. The foodhallen next door was perfect for a few delicious bites, before exploring the city. Quiet area, but still very easy to walk around to the different siteseeing places.

Super cool / hip hotel, no complaints, outside I would like to see the line that is deployed inside again, I believe that a few things can happen there. Outside is often under pushed child, do more with the "green". is a bit poor.

Very good hotel, clean, original and beautiful!
Hotel well located 5 minutes from the tram, in a chic and pleasant area!
Small caveats: no slippers, no bathrobe, but we're really talking about details!

Small hotel that can be said to have a feeling

Small hotel that can be said to have a feeling
Rooms in the corner followed by a friendly staff and good Wi-Fi is caught grungy not good watering a little water in the shower booth Count
Other than that, I slept well

Hotel de Hallen was a kitschy treat and was delightfully unexpected. It was inlike any hotel i have stayed in. Was really well done in regards to making guests feel welcome. The rooms are well laid out to feel more spacious and had a great experience overall.

Great hotel. Clean, friendly staff, and great location. I stayed here for business and it was good. It looks exactly as it appears in photos with beautiful decorations. The food in the restaurant is also very good.

If you are sensitive to noise, I would suggest the 2nd floor so you do not hear the guests above. Also note that the first floor does not have windows (if this is something you care about). Also certain rooms have a layout where the bathrooms are part of the room which would not work well for friends or co-workers who are uncomfortable seeing each other get ready.

I stayed at Hotel De Hallen when I was in Amsterdam last year. Everything and everyone there really made my stay perfect. This will be my hotel in Amsterdam anytime I m there. Hope to see you all next year!!! :-)

Very comfortable hotel in a trendy area of Amsterdam, it is attached to a food hall building which used to be a train depot ,lots of places to eat and drink.Beds are super comfy ,slept very well and check out is 12 o'clock very handy after a long evening socialising.

I didn't have a chance to stay in the hotel itself, but I tried to get a table at the restaurant ... Experienced very impolite and arrogant girl at the reception! Like for 4 starts hotel, you would expect much higher service, not an arrogance from young girls. Maybe it's better to hire more experienced team.

Nice hotel, nice room, nice bathroom and everything clean and modern. Friendly staff, overall very nice stay. Only the parking is a bit expensive ( 3 / h with a max of 27 per day) but that is also true outside the hotel. With cheaper rates for hotel residents I would give 5 stars!

Swanky.

Swanky.

This little hotel, in the adjacent neighbourhood gave me what I believe to be a more boutique and local experience with the surrounding markets, film centre and local trinket shops.

The staff where friendly, although more clinical than other hotels I stayed at in Amsterdam.

The mid lanes of the hotel was funky although, in some way a little disordered and busy for my taste.

The room, clean, tidy and more modern.

I loved the bar area with a seperate red room that seemed to whisk you away to another place.

Stayed here for one night. Booked a room with a street view. There was an upgrade to a great junior suite. Service was very friendly and courteous. Room very clean and new. Unfortunately there is no parking space. Public underground parking only (51 per night ...)

Beautiful hotel housed in an old train station, nice clean rooms and excellent breakfast. The only drawback is that the rooms have non-opening glass windows as they overlook a corridor that acts as a skylight, I believe that in Italy they would never have authorized the opening of a similar hotel. Apart from this, everything else is fine, the furniture, the beds, the cleanliness, the excellent value for money.
A tip for the kids who will read this comment, just 10 meters from the hotel there is a huge area full of nightclubs, this area is called Hallen and is frequented by locals, so few tourists but many boys and girls Dutch
