Very nice stay at this establishment. Personal very nice and helpful. Design and modern room in an industrial style. Cleanliness of the hotel irreproachable however, attention to the cleaning of the rooms which is done too late (16h-17h).

It's good place to stay. I stayed just 3 night. If longer duration, It would be more perfect for travel lovers. Indoor couches and outdoor benches should serve the excellent places for rest or thinking.

Hotel De Hallen is one of my favorite meeting places. Chic and modern interrior spaces that are at the spacious and private. If the weather is forgiving the terrace is rather good as well

Beautiful and cool hotel set in an old tram depot! The staff were amazing! Only downside was the lack of a window...but of you're in Amsterdam you probably won't spend much time inside the hotel right.

What an fantastic hotel, so glad we stayed here.

What an fantastic hotel, so glad we stayed here.
It was so clean, the rooms were well equipped and modern, the beds were so comfortable and staff were a pleasure; so helpful. Really quiet at night, however could staff consider wearing soft sole shoes when walking on the corridors? Only coz we were next to reception and we could hear them walking around in heals on concrete floors....but apart from this everything was fab.
We never ate in the hotel but the reception drink was always delicious. I do recommendations foodhallen in the building at the back of the hotel for food and drinks.
Highly recommend this place

I found the rooms in this hotel to be very beautiful and well furnished. Very tight all but not kill.

But the best part is the bar area.
You should not drink cocktails, but a glass of wine and beer is delicious.

Relaxed atmosphere and this is where the students come into their own.

In the summer there is a large terrace where a lot of them shine.

P.s that cocktail can be better off the menu or the employees do not have a thorough cocktail course.

A nice to look hotel, in which I however no longer than one to max. want to stay two nights.
I didn't like that the washrooms leave little room for privacy. I wanted more than just a faint partition. As mentioned in one of the recessions, the doors to the toilet are swinging doors. I felt like I had to go into a closet to relieve myself.
Breakfast was also very disappointing, I found the price-performance ratio nowhere near met.
The staff was always polite and tried hard.

We had a really good experience at De Hallen. The hotel is very chic, located in an old train depot. They put a lot of effort into the design, and though it's very modern, it still feels really cosy.
Rooms were modern and sufficient. Notice that the bath area is not really in a separate room, which might bother some due to noise/privacy. Location is really nice, in a vibrant, local neighbourhood, next to Foodhallen and many other shops, restaurants, cafes and boutiques. Please take into consideration that it takes anywhere between 20 to 30 minutes to walk to the city center, but trams are abundant + we much rather spend out time in the adjacent areas of the canal belt.
Staff were nice enough. Price was a bargain.

Great hotel, room was really nice. Only drawback for me was that it had no windows and hence the 4 star instead of 5. The receptionist, bartender, etc were all super friendly and helpful. Would totally recommend it to any and every as long as a window isn't a must for you.

Nice hotel not far from the city center and next door to Food hallen where there are many world cuisine stands for drinking and eating from 11am to 10pm.
The whole facility was very clean.
The hotel is modern and nicely decorated.
The rooms were spacious with queen size bed with very comfortable bedding. The same goes for the bathroom which had an Italian shower and a bathtub which is a plus.
Downside to the fact that there was no window in the room and that the curtains had to be drawn so that people in the hallway do not see the interior of the room.

Apartment or hotel ? ... Hotel de Allen all your life !!! ... Old station adapted equidistant from all the must-see places, bright with contemporary but cozy furnishings, spotlessly clean rooms and spacious super-comfortable bed and bathroom with shower cabin where you are in four and you hear you hear separate bath for romantic baths for two! ... One more reason to stay here? The staff ! very kind and extremely available to solve problems or to provide for our every need, I take this opportunity to thank Kevin who welcomed us and looked after Neapolitan Luig i doc who pampered and spoiled us, suggesting visits finding tickets. What more could you ask of a hotel ?

Nice place, I visited this hotel in order to take part in a networking function in Amsterdam, and I thought the hotel was well appointed and modern. I especially liked the cloth towels that were available in the bathroom to dry your hands. It s a boutique hotel that caters well to its patrons, and if I were back in Amsterdam on business or some other matter I would certainly consider this hotel from what I ve seen thus far.

Nice hotel, nice decoration and restoration. Room without window outside as in a box with deposit of 50euros minibar etc .. and quite noisy (due to lack of windows ventilation is continuous and people speak loudly.Parking is very expensive.

Modern hotel built into the complex of an old tramway. Very stylish, loving, artistic details. Peaceful area. Excellent breakfast with the possibility to order small delicacies extra (without extra charge). Close to central location, the city center can also be reached on foot. A food market can also be found in the coach house, where you can eat delicacies from different countries.

The service was not bad, but it was a big bed when I first booked. Actually, we gave us two small beds at the scene, and there was no way for the children to sleep for two small beds. Later, let us upgrade the more powerful room type, but we still have to pay some money. .

Stayed during Amsterdam visit. Perfect location. 20 minutes on foot until the dam square. Hotel has a bike rental service which we used for one day. Really nice experience. Rooms very clean and stuff helpful always to provide you with everything you may need.

A super stylish and well presented little hotel. The interior was fun and tongue in cheek whilst the rooms, although small and compact, were minimal and well presented. It felt like staying in a sort of futuristic pod. The beds and bedding were very comfortable and noise was at a minimum. The breakfast was so, so. Would have been nice to have had more choice but the pancakes and waffles were very tasty. I would certainly come back, it's a great little hotel. It just lacks that high end luxury that some hotels like The Dylan provide.

My wife and I enjoyed our stay. The hotel is in a converted tram station, so the rooms aren't on the outside wall and many don't have windows. The hallway is a courtyard with chairs and tables. The rooms are spacious and clean, especially the bathroom which has a shower and tub. The building also has a food market which has 15 or so high-end food stands. There are 2 nearby tram stations that take you straight into the city.

Very nice rooms, perfect service. Great breakfast. Since the rooms were practically built in an old station hall, you can not open the windows and control the temperature only via the air conditioning. That was the only annoying point, I'm a Frischluftfanatiker ...

Hotel surprising by its decor, original, pleasant. Excellent welcome and service.
Clean room. very good bedding.
if you take a room for two, it is better to be comfortable in terms of privacy with the person accompanying you because there is no door between the bedroom and the bathroom and the toilet door is not very insulating (or 4 stars, otherwise I will have put 5 for everything else!)
Very nice neighborhood, 2 steps from transport and not far from several points of interest.
Definitely worth it

Lovely chic hotel. Very unique design. Friendly staff.

They even had live music and an antique market in the main lobby one evening during our stay.

Just a short walk to the food hall with lots of dining options.

Incredibly disappointed with this hotel and a warning to other guests. We had our Europe trip planned in July and our last stop was in Amsterdam. Unfortunately, due to covid-19 our trip has been cancelled. All of the hotels (except this one) have been gracious in refunding our booked stays (some of which also had strict cancellation policies however have been so flexible). When I booked the hotel (which way before Covid-19 started) we did book with a no cancellation policy. The hotel has refused to even discuss or be flexible with that. No credit for future. No possibility of rescheduling for a future date. Nothing. So there goes 600 dollars down the drain. Again so disappointed and we will NOT be returning when we rebook our Europe trip to this hotel. Nor will we be recommending it to family or friends.

Great location, the setting is really beautiful, the style is there!

Pleasantly surprised by the cleanliness and decoration of the room.

However two things do not pass, 18 / person the breakfast which is clearly not worth them, worthy of a breakfast at ibis budget at 8 / person, beware if you park in the car park adjacent to the hotel is 51 a day, also the pill does not pass.

For the rest, welcoming staff, correct room price 115 + 4/5 tourist tax.

Delighted with the setting but left with two disappointments.

Have had several pleasant stays at Hotel de Hallen. Comfortable bed and bath, quiet and friendly service. The only trouble is that the deluxe double rooms I stayed at were very warm (21-22 degrees Celsius at night). Adjusting the thermostat to the lowest possible temperature had no discernible effect, which is far from ideal - especially at night. So when it comes to this, definitely some room for improvement.

Great place to stay in Amsterdam. The staff was very friendly and accommodating, storing our luggage until we could check in. They even moved it to our room so it was there waiting for is.
The room was very nice and quiet. The bathroom was a luxury with deep soaking tub and separate rainfall shower.
Although the restaurant looked nice and was always popular, there are also dozens of eating options in the Foodhallen right next door.

The green terrace was the reason to take a look at this beautiful building, De Hallen. The interior was an even bigger surprise, however. Every m2 and corner is special here with all different colors. with vintage furniture and bar. A really nice atmosphere

- Great location, close to cafes, market and tram lines
- Friendly and helpful Staff
- Beautiful design and fun atmosphere
- Super comfy bed
- Attention to details (soaps, coffee etc)
- The only real downside was the layout of the room (though beautifully designed) which doesn't allow much privacy (shower is see-through, sink facing the room). Wasn't a big deal for us but might be uncomfortable if you're not traveling with a very close companion.
- Our room didn't have a window that opens, which could feel a little sitfling.
Had a great experience, would definitely stay there again

The entrance was a short search, we were on the wrong side of the building Good reception. Downstairs room. Building with a lot of art. Nice bed (soft mattress), lots of thick pillows. Krups machine and room and a kettle. Regular shower and shower. Concrete floor really still from the trams. So bring slippers or use the free bath slippers. Delicious eaten in draw 47. Many small snacks eaten. Toast with tapenade and ham and the stew were favorite. Good breakfast, good coffee, friendly staff. Easily accessible by public transport.

Nice hotel, rooms have a large window to the inside which creates a special style, hard to find because there are no hotel signs outside (only the restaurant Remise 47 is visible), hotel is in an pedestrian area.

Very beautiful hotel only flaw the classic rooms do not have a window to the outside you should know that we suddenly took a room from the range above which was superb with magnificent windows and we really enjoyed it a magnificent view and very well located in a very pleasant area

One of the most charming, quirky and friendly hotels we have ever stayed at! The front of house staff where excellent Catalina made us feel very welcome when we arrived. The bed was very comfortable, the bath was huge and very good hot water. Breakfast was delicious. 10 out of 10!!!!

LOVELY hotel with a boutique feel. The decorations are unique and the staff members are SO friendly. Gaby and Ginny (i think) helped check us in. The process was extremely quick. The rooms were very clean and comfy beds. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone staying in Amsterdam. We will definitely return during our next visit.
