Hotel de Echoput Review

Amazing service, beautiful countryside, nice rooms and Michelin 5 star food makes this a favorite of mine.

Chef de cuisine got a free hand and has pleasantly surprised us with several dishes. Very pleasant service. Also delicious local dishes. Dessert (see photo) was delicious.

Beautiful design hotel in the middle of the Veluwe - Kroller Muller is close by and the center of Apeldoorn at 7km. The rooms are top finished and very spacious. A wonderful place to catch your breath and take beautiful forest walks. The service is excellent. I went there once with the company (50 people), where we used the meeting room, and in the evening used the bistro as a party location. Simply perfect. This time with my wife a weekend away, and again very satisfied! Recommended!

Had a fantastic stay! Very nice and spacious room with a good bed. The service was excellent and the booked breakfast left nothing to be desired. Unfortunately I forgot my electric toothbrush at the hotel, but it was sent to my home address free of charge.

In short, this wasn't the last time I've been here :)

Not a bad kitchen but at least 30% "overpriced". Facilities excellent but just standard "vd Valk" quality. Friendly and helpful staff. Good rental bikes.

Without attending the restaurant, this hotel did not really give us the overwhelming luxury we were hoping for with a 5* hotel. But the service was flawless, beds were great, bathrooms were huge and the nature surrounding it is great for walks and/or runs.

Delicious three-course lunch. On New Year's Day. Service was as expected; suitable for the location. Maybe a little more expensive, but worth it.

A place with traditionally a good name. However, if you want to use the garden with terrace on a sunny weekend day, you will find an unordered scene. Semi-set tables, loose chairs spread without tables, a foliage spread, in short, not appropriate and certainly not inviting to enjoy an afternoon of sun and a glass of wine ... Too bad, missed opportunity.

A really beautiful hotel. I spent a night with my mother and we had nothing to complain about! The food is tasty, the staff are friendly and welcoming and the quality is sure to write home about.

Hotel in a beautiful location in the Veluwe. Rooms are large and clean and the food is delicious.

Nice location on a slightly busy road. Hotel rooms are comfortable and sleek. The service is excellent and friendly. The kitchen is very good with surprising flavors and as always excellent wine-food combinations. The kitchen has recently become more stable. There is a flexible response to customer requirements.

Impersonal. No service seen. 4 parasols for 10 or more tables on the terrace. We left without anyone taking care of us.

Very good 5-course dinner with a Veluwe character! Friendly service, warm welcome and excellent food. Special game dishes and very well-fitting wines! My compliments!

Delicious dishes and relaxing overnight stays, definitely recommended

Rooms not clean, no towels despite calling 2x with reception. If you order a cappuccino you have to wait 20 minutes and you almost get it cold ... I don't recommend it to anyone this is really not a 5 star worthy hotel ....

We had chosen this location for a two-day course. Beautifully situated in the forests of the crown domain Het Loo. Five-star hotel with beautiful spacious rooms, which are equipped with a bath and double shower. Spacious balcony with a view of the forest and / or terrace. Good restaurant, where game and mushrooms are the specialties of the house. Breakfast buffet is great, with hot dishes made to order. Nice bar. Possibilities for cooking classes and wine tasting are possible. Friendly, polite and attentive staff. Top location!

Good service. Very good food. Great that choice in the number of courses, 3, 4, 5, 6 or 7 courses you can choose yourself. Matching wines.
In short, a very successful evening.

Spacious clean room with large bathroom (bath and shower), separate toilet. Wardrobe very dark (black shelves) so make sure you don't forget anything when you leave. Free parking. Very comfortable. Wild (4 course) surprise menu in the Echoput is original and tasteful. Not too large portions. Matching wine pairing was very good. Restaurant very dark, could hardly see what was on the plate. Candle on the table really gave too little light. Service good and friendly though it was clearly learned story.

Had business lunch, very well cared for. At star level. Clearly explained per course what was served and served. Poultry and game. The service was patient, friendly and in the background. So big praise.

A super nice hotel with a great restaurant. All facilities are provided and the nature in the area is lovely to walk through. The five course wild dinner was super! In the room there was a very nice bed and a nice bath. Too bad that the wallpaper in the toilet let go. The employees are very friendly and are happy to help you.

Top location.

Welcoming reception, check in went smoothly. We were given a room at the front. Upon closer inspection we wanted to sleep at the back: was arranged in no time!

Rooms are top notch: nicely decorated, well insulated and beautifully clean.

Very extensive and cared for breakfast. Products are fresh and of excellent quality. Friendly and helpful service.

Did not eat at the restaurant, so no opinion about that.
If I may give a point of attention: I could not read the description of the choices on the espresso machines with my "senior eyes." But luckily there was a helpful employee!

Great experience in the Echoput! The food is two stars. But what a wine knowledge there is in the house! The service and reception are of a masterly high level. We really felt very welcome and spoiled! We will definitely come back here.

Het enige wat 5 sterren waardig was is de receptie. In het restaurant was de bediening rond uit slecht het ontbijt had keiharde broodjes en zalm met een uitgedroogd randje. Het terras was niet schoon en de kussentjes in de stoel waren zelfs niet kringloop waardig.
Ik heb dit gemeld bij het afrekenen en zou nog terug gebeld worden, niet dus.
Helaas dan maar op deze manier.
Jammer de prijzen die ze hanteren zijn wel
5 sterren waardig.

Beautiful surroundings, excellent rooms and fantastic staff with knowledge and passion for the profession.

The echo put is a nicely situated hotel. The location is beautiful. The restaurant has a star and the hotel itself is a five star hotel. So we did our check in with expectations. Unfortunately the experience there was immediately bad. We were barely viewed, no warm welcome words and we received our card for the room without further explanation. How disappointed we arrived in our room. The room was nice but very dirty with lots of dust in different places. The TV was also broken. We reported this to reception but nothing has been done about it. Then we went for a drink and a snack in the restaurant. This was also a very impersonal experience. We were barely approached and when the snacks were served no explanation at all about the different cheeses we had ordered or an explanation of the type of salad served with the bread. Also no explanation about the wine. No goodbye was said when we walked away. And the next day no questions about our experience. Not even a thank you or a nice day. For a five-star hotel and a restaurant with a star, a lot can be done about the hospitality. This was a sobering experience for our day trip. I do not recommend the hotel any further, should the hospitality improve, I would like to hear from you.

De kamer was netjes, personeel was vriendelijk en aardig. Het eten was in eerste instantie super totdat het bleek dat ik voedselvergiftiging hierdoor had opgelopen.
Het meest vervelende vind ik dat ze er niks mee doen, geen excuus helemaal niks....zo onbeleefd. Dat ik de hele nacht op de wc heb gezeten en zo beroerd was dat de nacht vreselijk was en we niet hebben genoten van het ontbijt blijken ze alleen maar vervelend te vinden. Hier zullen we dus niet weer verblijven! Jammer dat ze zo laconiek hierover zijn alsof ze het niet interesseren! Mijn zoon die ons dit kado heeft gedaan zal hier ook niet meer naartoe gaan. Hij dacht dat het een gerenommeerd hotel/restaurant was daar hij hier zakelijk veel was geweest!

Dinner is top class. Operation is fine but does not have the top level. If they were still working on it, it would be great.

Wat een afknapper vandaag!!
Na meerdere malen gegeten te hebben met de familie (vader al sinds 50-er jaren), was het een domper vandaag. Ook al begon de dag zonnig, het eindigde zwaar bewolkt met regen.
De goose chunks waren nog een beetje rauw, de champions dordonge hadden geen smaak en had meer beslag dan champions. Waar was dit mooie nostalgisch gerecht gebleven? Na ons beklag lauwe koffie voor de troost.
De wijn was heerlijk, maar wel aan de prijs 10,75 per glas. De grote afknapper kwam later toen ik in het winkeltje zag dat daar de wijn 16,50 koste. Dus de wijn kreeg in de brasserie 400% toeslag. En toen ik ook nog even googlede bleek het een toeslag te worden van zo'n 750%.
De lekkere wijn had een nare afdronk gekregen.

No card at the bar, non-existent price ??? the products of the bathroom and the towels are not renewed. No cushions on the terrace seats. The storage room for our bikes is a chicken coop one meter twenty high. An error of more than 325 on the bill. Do not deserve its 5 stars. Positive point, the friendliness of the staff as well as its restaurant.

Nice hotel in a beautiful setting. Rooms are equipped with all conveniences. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Breakfast and dinner are of very high quality.

The service was slow it was expensive and spilled coffee on the saucer was not replaced or cleaned do not think this is a worthy 5 star hotel

The room smelled of bleach on entering and after returning from a meal in the center the entire room smelled of a drain afterwards. Decor of the room is nice and modern, but could have been cleaner. Here and there still hair from previous visitors. Only 2 chairs on the balcony but without a table. Stuffed minibar only on request and against payment of 15. The shower 2 shower heads that are in a place that you always come out with wet hair. Given the good reputation from the past, we certainly thought it was on the poor side.

Very mediocre staff who throw in the cap, unfortunately, very nice location, only the staff does not live up to it.

The pool is mini, as is the sauna - also no relaxation area.
Too much design, Lighting technology everywhere too dark.

Amazing experience! Everything is arranged to perfection. Not expected that this could match a chain like the Hilton, where we normally spend the night, and surpass on some aspects (personal attention)! An absolute must in a great environment

lieve mensen van de echoput: wij willen jullie ECHT danken voor de sublieme belevenis die wij in het hotel en restaurant hebben mogen ervaren!
wij kwamen donderdag 2 november langs om samen met zoon Thomas en zijn vrouwke Martine zijn 50ste verjaardag te vieren;

Ondertussen is het de tweede keer dat wij langskwamen en ons genieten wordt steeds groter!
De sommelier, de persoon die alle gerechten bracht en ons informeerde (denk dat hij Brecht of Bert heet) waren schatten: zo leuk om naar hen te luisteren: gedreven mensen (houden zo!)
op het einde van de avond nam de sommelier de jarige mee naar de keuken en wij vonden het zo fijn om dit jong team te mogen trakteren en samen met hen een proost uit te brengen en dan vnl op hun toekomst!
to Karel: ondanks dat we jou niet gezien hebben: proficiat voor uw aanpak en professionele uitdagingen!
Wij willen ook de andere personeelsleden van de echoput bedanken: de mensen van de receptie, de mensen van de ontbijtruimte en niet te vergeten de mensen van de onderhoudsploeg die zorgen voor een piekfijne kamer, prima badkamer: je moet het maar doen!
Wij komen zeker terug !

Nice enough but i wouldnt call it a 5 star hotel.. its clean and friendly but rooms could be cosier...they have the feel of a van der Valk hotel.
Electric bike hire service is excellent and very reasonably priced.

Ik was hier alleen voor een korte verzorgde lunch.
Het eten is prima: lekkere broodjes, soep en verse jus.
De vergaderzalen op de onderste verdieping zijn wat somber door weinig daglicht. Mobiele ontvangst is slecht, waardoor bellen niet mogelijk is. Wifi was zo traag dat er nauwelijks mee te werken is.

Great enjoyment of perfect hospitality and fantastic tasty food. The staff exceeds all expectations, what a service! Very spacious and spotless hotel rooms with a very comfortable bed and equipped with all conveniences. Eaten here 2 nights and it tastes like more. Perfect wine-food combination, good explanation and top quality. Highly recommended!

Modern hotel with swimming pool and sauna facilities large rooms with fridge. Sit in a nature reserve with wonderful hiking and museum possibilities. Delicious restaurant specializing in wild meat and bar. Nice shop with wine and meat. Very friendly and professional staff. Free parking at the hotel. Report wheelchair users in advance. You can only eat here at the bar, this is definitely recommended changing menus.

The guests are received in large letters. We get a nice congratulation for our 30 years of marriage. It is a top hotel and we will definitely be back. This hotel actually deserves 6 stars.

Beautiful location and delicious dishes. Very friendly service that really take the time for you.

Price / quality is not in balance in my opinion; ambiance and service was great, but the dinner was disappointing, too little variety. Some shortcomings on survey linked back. Should be better!

A quiet hotel with good facilities. The restaurant does not have enough tables and is often fully booked. So we could not eat there. The staff was very professional and recommended a restaurant in Appeldorn that was very good. It was both the reservation and a taxi for us taken care of.
