nice place.. clean trendy and a very helpful staff.. great fun and exceptionally helpful.. had a great visit.
Hotel and rooms are very clean. Professional staff. Only problem is that both washroom and bathroom are made of transparent glass even in twin bed room.
Very nice and wonderful place to enjoy and to relax
Spacious and very clean room. The staff are helpful and friendly. Quiet location and luxurious hotel.
My go to hotel in Lisbon. Very boutique and unique rooms
The hotel is centrally located for exploring downtown Lisbon.
A few minutes to tram 28 station. The breakfast buffet in the restaurant is good and modern.
I confess that at first I thought the decor a bit macabre. But after a strange first impression, I understood how unusual being can be wonderfully intriguing. Great idea. Located right next to the memorial of Fernando Pessoa. Or rather, his old house. Excellent experience.
Very cute hotel style! Former school Machado de Castro.
Misused. With an excellent space but badly decorated, in an ergonomic way.
Sofas with exaggerated seating depth, comfortable bed, horrible bedside tables, not antique but waste.
The television cannot be seen from the bed, I commented at the reception and I was told that it was so by choice, that in any of the rooms it is possible to watch the television from the bed. Who was the decorator who decides what people can and cannot do or see? They won't think I'm obsessed with TV, nothing like that, I just disagree with the arrogance of imposing rules!
Difficult location for those with a car.
Did not miss
Located in a very quiet area of Lisbon, ideal for a good rest after a long day wandering through its streets, close to Metro station and tram to move wherever you want
i love it here:
Location = great (Tram 28e 5 minutes on foot, Metro just as far)
Staff = competent, personable, helpful
Room = very friendly and stylishly furnished, comfortable, of course very clean, air conditioning perfect.
WiFi = 100% (if you have any problems, just ask, you will get a personal WiFi hotspot)
Only 4 stars and the director knows why.
Great hotel the only issue was that the wifi did not work on my room. Avoid floor -1
Great room, comfy sleep and very clean. Staff are very helpful and friendly. Nice continental breakfast with a good selection. Located away from the centre however tram, bus and metro stations are within 5 minutes walk of the hotel. Would not hesitate to go back.
Very quiet, friendly staff, large bedroom and large bathroom. I recommend
Hotel in great location! Staff very attentive! The rooms are very spacious and clean! It used to be a reformatory!
Nice hotel. Located in a tourist area. Cozy rooms. interior to the amateur. Lunch and dinner are not provided. A couple of times a week offer a day barbecue. Yummy.
Very pleasant little hotel. To be highlighted is the friendly and courteous staff. The rooms are attractive and, above all, very clean. Breakfast is also very good.
The hotel is quietly located in a not so touristy part of Lisbon. The connection to the hotspots is very good. There are several restaurants in all price ranges within walking distance. Above all, a very nice mercado.
Beautiful hotel ! Our room was spacious and clean. My only complaints are the old fashioned key we were made to tote around instead of typical key cards and the showers poor design. The water leaked all over the floor and the shower head placement makes no sense compared to the tub. Their breakfast and dinner is worth a try. Our breakfast was included so we opted to eat in every day. The hotel is located along some narrow streets so be prepared for some uphill/downhill walking if you re venturing out.
Very nice hotel, modern rooms. Breakfast and restaurant of very good quality
Quite quiet hotel, but you can hear the planes everywhere and opposite is a school. At night, when it matters, but it is quiet. The breakfast is good and the staff is very friendly
Friendly staff and nice spacious rooms with excellent bathrooms. The breakfast was a bit limited, but this is to be expected with such small hotel.
The Hotel da Estrela has a picnic service on request at the weekends, which allows you to enjoy a fantastic picnic in the gardens of this beautiful hotel in the center of Lisbon. Tastes good for a special break.
An absolute pearl in the middle of the old town of Lisbon. Absolutely fantastic breakfast. The ride on the nearby old tram is particularly great.
Enjoyed it! Very professional, very friendly and attentive, the dinner was excellent, the Gala at Remax Place was very good !!
Very nice comfortable hotel warm welcome.calme and tranquility..good location
Very nice hotel, decoration on the theme of the school, very good service, hearty breakfast and very varied. Very close to the city center.
Had an amazing experience in this place. We felt really appreciated. The breakfast is simple beautiful, great selection of food offered. The room is one of the best I have ever slept in. What a bathroom!!! Stuff is simply outstanding! Love the idea to give a chance for the students from the Tourism academy. As a tourism industry worker myself, I found this a brilliant opportunity for the new workers generation! We had to leave the hotel around 4am and we were served a complimentary breakfast so we could be fed on our trip back home! Such a touch! 10 out of 10 surely!
Very nice establishment, very spacious and original rooms, good restaurant, top welcome
I like the employees' sympathy. I hate it when they have the craze that they are clever.
Great hotel and the staff are wonderful and helpful you fell like family!
Huge room, the odd thing is the bathrooms little privacy huge interior window facing the bed
Hotel very well located near the center of Lisbon, easy access by Tramway.
Very warm welcome from staff, very comfortable room, modern design,
Exceptional quality of breakfast
A very practical underground car park if you come with your car,
We will definitely come back !!
Very good address ...
The worst hotel I've ever stayed at. The hotel doesn't hire actual staff - they hire interns and trainees who are so young and have no idea what they are doing. I was trying to enter the hotel with a baby in hand and a toddler + stroller and the intern at the front desk didn't even know she had to at least help me open the door! The interns/trainees helping at breakfast stand behind the counter and just stare at you. Very sweet kids but they are so young and basically the face of the hotel. THE WEIRDEST PART - the key system. there's only one key and if you stay in the room while your partner steps out, there's no way to enter. Just bizarre. Complimentary water - just one for the full stay versus one per day. Again - bizarre. Bizarre bizarre bizarre
I highly recommend this hotel. Very helpful and pleasant staff. Good breakfast too. We had one lunch and one dinner which we enjoyed. The hotel is 5 minutes walk to Basilica Estrella and park. You can walk into the centre of Lisbon in about 30 minutes. Uber are plentiful. Be careful of the tram from the Basilica to Lisbon centre, pickpockets are common.
We stayed here for 7 days in one of their suites while we were in Lisbon. Their service is reasonable and the breakfast buffet is fine as per what we have experienced in Europe. They don t seem to stock any basic medicines such as an antihistamine or an aspirin. Unfortunately we ended up needing both at odd hours. We don t know the norms of European hotels (this was the first trip we felt the need for medicines), but some premium Asian hotels do tend to have some basic medicines in stock, or would arrange for you on short notice.
The price of the suite was reasonable, considering that we visited in July. The place is reasonably well situated if you intend to take Uber to travel like we did. Most tourist places and malls are about 10-15 minutes away by Uber. For us an added advantage was that it is very close to Jardim Da Estrella, where our 4 year old daughter had a great time at the play area.
The suite is aesthetically pleasing and quite spacious, but frankly it feels like the designer had a degree in design, but not in practicality. The light of the room and the sitting area are linked (we could not figure any other solution) so when our daughter was sleeping, we had to make do with a small lamp in the sitting area. The shower area has transparent glass, hence you have to warn your child not to enter the room when you are taking a shower. The room has no lock on it. The bathtub is the only place for a shower and it does not have a shower curtain, hence if you don t want to get the whole bathroom wet, you have to settle for quite an uncomfortable shower.
I would have rated them 4 stars had it not been for the practical aspects of the room left out in design. But these are easily fixable issues and hopefully the hotel will take note.
Fantastic hotel with a perfect location in Lisbon. Large rooms and very comfortable. Great restaurant with very reasonable prices. Parking on site.
A perfect room & a perfect location. Staff was very helpful and supper friendly.
We went there to pic nic in the hotel gardens. The frame is top and the idea superb. I recommend.
Wonderful location, touch & feel!
Really unique :)
Stayed there last May
Unbearable heat in the atrium keeps the air conditioner off on a hot day. Situation not acceptable in a hotel from three stars.
SITUATED IN HISTORIC AREA, GOOD; BUT WITH LIMITED PARKING, AS ALMOST ALL THE STREETS AND HISTORICAL DISTRICTS OF OUR LISBON; HAS A MAGNIFICENT CATHOLIC CHURCH, SANTA ISABEL ...
Very modern magnificent suite rooms with large double sink bathroom
Our family hotel. Very nice, comfortable and in a very good location.
Good reason for a holiday or would escape the two I was delighted I will vote Thank you to the whole team!
Great hotel but the evening meal was stone cold, second serving was not much better shame as all else was good
Bof bof bof .... good average for a four star. The view from the 1st floor is zero, not to say horrible! The TV on the side wall does not allow you to see it well from the bed. And absolutely nothing to do in the neighborhood !!!! Not even to eat ...
It is a certainty I will not return to this establishment.
It is a great hotel beautifully renovated with a cool atmosphere. The staff assigned to the hotel is highly professional. The reception desk is very original, I liked the way they set it up.
Nice hotel with good location to metro, bus and tram. Very active staff who make an excellent effort. Taxi to the airport around 15
Room well-kept and inconspicuous, very reliable room service. Staff very friendly and helpful. Little things could be improved, like the television that switches itself off after 60 minutes and then only works via a switch on the device.
Its a beautiful boutique hotel. Their restaurant has a limited menu but the food on there is really great. We ordered the Pork Leg snd it was so good. They also have a very nice Sangria. Breakfast was a bit sparce. They said they dont serve sausages and they didnt have any condiments. The interior design is absolutely fabulous
A small hotel and palace that makes us feel at home
Beautiful butik hotel with perfect location. This hotel is small but silent and cosy. The rooms are quite spacious and nicely furnished. Cleaning service was excellent, everyday the room looked neat and clean. The breakfast was nice and fresh. Fresh pastry was really delicious. The staff was professional and very helpful. We stayed at the hotel a week and the staff remembered what coffee to serve us everyday. That was very nice. Also, the staff in the reception were very responsive to any requests or inquiries. At some moment, we started feeling like this place was home.
Location is perfect! It is close to metro and city centre. 10 min from the hotel you have two hop on hop off buses stops, if you want to take a city tour. The neighborhood seems quite and safe. There are several local taverns around, if you wish to experience something very Portuguese.
However, I wish there was an iron in the room. I guess the staff would lend me one if I asked but still iron should be in the room.
The label Small Luxury Hotels of the World is misleading. A little tired design / boutique hotel but definitely not a luxury hotel standard, not even 4 star hotel standard. Breakfast regarding the quality of the More
nothing to complain about it puts the price but it is justified ...
Even very cool. old school transformed into hotel, still with the typical equipment of the same exposed in the place. Good restaurant - food and service.
Friendly hotel with excellent garden to enjoy in the late afternoon. Food I will not pronounce because I did not have the opportunity to eat in the hotel.
Very nice and clean place. Friendly staff and good food. Expect some student interns from the nearby tourism college, but they are ok really. The only reason for 4* (not 5*) is that the restaurant service is overpriced at 3eur per person - and that's excluding any tips which would come on top (sorry, no tipping from me under those T&Cs).
Good hotel but maybe you miss the bar that you have to ask at reception and they upload it from the restaurant and the restaurant has few dishes and some do not deserve the category. The octopus quite good the normal cod and the beef tender beef. Very simple breakfast for what you earn at the hotel you lose at the bar and restaurant. By the way in the room the book is in Portuguese, English and French. I have recommended that one more leaf in Spanish does not cost much.
Great place nice, quiet, good restaurant and hearty breakfast
Comfortable hotel in a very quiet location in Lisbon, and well connected to the center.
Great place, the suit (21) is very spacious. Bedroom with a bathroom en-suite. Living room with a big couch, some comfy chairs and a desk. Very quit room. Put your car in the hotel parking lot (extra) because finding a parking space in the area is like winning the lottery.
Some minor fixes to be done in the room.
Great hotel if you get the right room. I am dropping a star simply because there weren't wifi that they promised in the rooms
Otherwise great garden terrace, library / open space with an "Honesty Bar".
It's has a very Nouveau concept London can adopt with its "Pay as you feel" restaurant. Which seems to serve amazing dishes.
The room service was prompt and great to my delight. The breakfast however needs vast improvements to Portuguese 4* standards..
You be the judge from my pics.
