Come here for drinks and the atmosphere but skip the pricey dinner. General consensus is that this place is where you go to see and be seen in Paris.
Too many smokers if you are on the terrace expensive and unwelcoming. Wants to be connected fashion.
Dinner is the same menu as L Avenue which is a little absurd and if you speak English they sit you in the lobby. Even when you ask nicely to sit in the main dining area. It s gigantic and even on a Saturday night it doesn t fill up. Hostess was overwhelmed for no great reason and dining room wasn t even filled. 2 stars only because the atmosphere was nice and food decent.
Incredibly delicious food with great service and nice atmosphere.
My favorite hotel in Paris. Romantic, cool and popular with celebrities that you often meet there. The bar is really cool, modern with good music.
Impeccable service .... impeccable atmosphere .... irreproachable customer ..... no crooked head that happiness ....
Learn the French language, in this institution there is no menu in English, such a vidy from the head of this restaurant ....
it's outrageous
The place is beautiful. The food is very good . Our server was very professional.
But if you are of foreign origin, big or ugly we put you in a cozy living room without air conditioning! So if you are blond with blue eyes you have all your chances to spend a good evening. Unremovable welcome for an invoice of 650
Still in after all these years. Service needs improvement specially for the reservation and walk in.
The ambiance, food and the service were all exquisite. Outdoos seating area is a gem.
Passable food, address overrated atmosphere very "new rich" with a concern for ego. If not nice place in the genre
The food terrible service very bad don t loose u time
All who are from Russia are definitely marked here. It seems like the ritual of the Russian tourist. In terms of cuisine, everything is pretty good, but no more. Atmosphere - approx.
Same Menu as L'avenue, and pretty much the same concept: beautifull waitresses and ambience, Food doesn't impress, poor service, and expensive bill. But everybody comes back to see beautifull and known people.
The hostess are always rude. They might be 42 kgs but doesnt make them models. I guess the frustration made them mean girls
Beautifull place. Bad reception .Fair food high prices.
Supposedly chic and Parisian, this "high-end" place selects only for money ...
This establishment therefore exudes a very successful atmosphere with its clientele of Russian millionaires and models, even if I found the hors d'oeuvres rather honest.
Anyone who is therefore intelligent and healthy will not be of any use here: luxury is definitely not what it used to be.
We have made a reservation and they have given us the worst of the tables in the corner of the restaurant. The temperature was too hot and the restaurant inside is excessively hot, so we asked the favor if they could relocate us. With the
More arrogant and rude attitude, telling us that if we did not understand you almost how they are fools that there are not. But
If there were many tables available. Completely arrogant and rude. I will never return!
We go there for the atmosphere, the terrace and the friendliness of the team ...
The hostesses fed but not high, did not learn to be friendly, nor to say hello, the poor they think themselves chic
Boycott this establishment! This afternoon my 75 year old father and his same aged best friend on a well deserved Paris vacation from Norway was refused entry for a late lunch in this establishment. They were casually dressed in jeans, More
The food was average for a 4 star hotel
And in addition the execrable staff
And I don't want to go back there anymore
get the right hostess to seat you otherwise demanding tips. Not good for such an amazing place like this.
Guys do not accept groups of 7 people. No, but help, that they are cons these Parisians! :)
Exquisite atmosphere, fine dining. Table is better to book in advance.
Magnificent terrace
Magnificent restaurant
In short, beautiful place
But overpriced for what is served because it really is nothing more!
And the service ugh just horrible!
Best hotel in Paris. Good restaurant. Small room. Good service.
Cozy terrace, impeccable design, clean. Top-of-the-range service. In short 5 stars and that's it !!!
Very nice place but restaurant service is not up to par
Interesting experience in iconic place with nice dark atmosphere, very good stake or duck, but foie gras was so boring :-/ Be careful if you are not a smoker, part of restaurant - terrace is smoking place!
Cozy and cozy atmosphere. Good dishes and good products on sale at the store. Superb spa with heated pool. A very trendy place and a lot of people.
When I told a colleague that lives in Paris that I had made a dinner reservation at Hotel Costes, she told me it is the only restaurant in Paris where the staff is snobbier than the patrons. These words rang true for the management led by the restaurant director Mr. Clement but certainly not for our waitress Justine who was charming.
The restaurant is located in and around the central courtyard of the hotel and has the feel of a chic and upscale venue. Our dilemma started when my wife tasted the pounded chicken dish she ordered and said it had the texture of rubber. After tasting it my wife told Justine of the problem and asked if she could send it back and order something else. Justine told us she needed approval of her director Mr Clement, and returned a few minutes later telling us that her director told her she could take the dish back but we would still have to pay for it. I asked her to send her director over to the table so I could discuss it with him. Mr. Clement showed up a few minutes later and after a short confrontational conversation simply removed the dish from our table and walked away without telling us how he intended to handle the matter. After watching this situation unfold a guest at the table next to us, watching in dis-belief, said she knew the owner and suggested I should ask for him. After about 10 minutes passed without anyone addressing the issue, I got up and found Mr Clements and asked if he was really just going to ignore the problem. In response he brushed me off and walked away. I simply followed him and asked him to send the owner over to my table. A short time later Mr Clement came over and asked my wife what other dish she would like to have.
I am sure that the only reason he bothered was because he thought I may know the owner.
The savior of the evening was our waitress who truly seemed embarrassed by her management.
The sign of a good restaurant is when they go out of their way to please their guests and treat them with respect. Refusing to take a dish back is not one of them and employing management that simply have a total lack of people skills and disregard for their guests should not be tolerated.
To our shock and amazement after we paid the bill, and just as we were getting up to leave, Mr. Clement came over to our table and said I m sorry but his words rang hollow and came far too late in the evening. Once again it felt like he was either concerned that his behavior would generate a review like this, or thought I was a friend of the owner.
The worst service in the restaurant I saw ever. The restaurant is located in the hotel and it does not even have an English menu. I asked for something with avocado, the waiter said that there was nothing in the restaurant with avocados and just kept silent.
The waiter showed that he was not happy to tell us what to choose and just did not go to the table. The worst thing that can be in Paris is the Costes restaurant.
The atmosphere of the bar, the food of the restaurant, the sublime setting. Perfect for a romantic evening
Very mixed experience at the restaurant of the Hotel Costes where I had dinner with my wife ... The place is very beautiful, refined and trendy chic. Trendy music is nice. The clientele is elegant and of all ages. Many couples but also families dine there.
But ... the tables are very small, tight against each other and especially the armchairs and sofas are really uncomfortable.
But ... the service is really average for a luxury establishment.
But ... our dishes arrived cold ... we had to send them back and when they were served to us again the contents of the plates were mixed up, the presentation was totally gone.
But ... the bill is rather salty for a service and rather average dishes. Count in the 200 per person.
But ... the next day I was sick, food poisoning.
We will not be returning and do not recommend this restaurant whose claims are much higher than the services.
Go your way!
Food service and everything is very nice, everything is high quality ..
I think it has a name, but I wouldn't recommend it to places like L avenue with empty content ...
The environment is very beautiful and funky. The food is good, but nothing exceptional.
A hotel not to be missed for a true Parisian experience. From afternoon coffee to dinner it is a place to try or frequent.
There are no words to express how beautiful this hotel.lusso informal and nice people. You immediately feel at ease and pampered!
Blonde hostess at the entrance one Saturday who just insulted me and another client, I asked to call the manager (it was not Yann, this one with a Latin American accent) completely incompetent, very pretentious and rude. He didn't hesitate to laugh with his colleague once I left with my back turned. Management needs to do something for good.
I will no longer stay in this hotel which was previously my favorite establishment
For all of you smokers out there, in building smoking area, I know right, exceptional cuisine, opens late December, very nice atmosphere, friendly staff (most of the time) a must go to in paris
Please give my review a thumbs up if you find it helpful, thanks
If you are looking for a place with an intimate atmosphere and luxury, the bar of the Hotel Costes is perfect! I recommend it for its comfort, its subdued atmosphere, its delicious and expensive cocktails, excellent eclectic music! If the neighbors are not too noisy you will have a great time! The service is provided by certainly beautiful women but it is quite slow. We had to ask for the bill because the waitress had literally forgotten us!
Expensive and stylish. Food OK but not more. Go there for drinks and to be seen.
Scandalized by the behavior of the hostesses at the reception of the restaurant. For a restaurant-hotel of this category we expect much better. A reservation not taken into account, a director and his client in a creepy room and when we call to understand the situation in return the hostess responds insolently "I do not see the reason for your call, I do not see not what to say to you ". Big disappointment and I will not fail to spread the word.
Quite expensive, but that's the area it's in, and a little crowded but a great atmosphere and friendly staff
Loved the Interiors, the furniture, the paintings & art and the cocktails. Only sad element are the old french men with very young eastern European ladies that make this place the go-to place for this kind of "meetings"
yesterday we went there for dinner.
the girls who welcome are anti-pathic, familiar.
we waited 45 minutes at the bar where there was only one bartender for 100 people. So to order a cocktail you also have to wait 15 minutes.
pity the setting is very nice, but the service is really poor and does not reflect the image of Parisians.
Food was delicious. (I just didn't like the fact that everyone was smoking)
Very good restaurant. Very good frame. Almost perfect service ...
In fact very expensive restaurant the best seats are reserved only for regular customers. The dishes are good wines too. Nice frame. And inadmissible to bring in babies at 23:00.
Hotel with a Select and Cozy atmosphere. The rooms of a romantic style, are of an impeccable arrangement with all the necessary accessories whatever the goal of his stay. The courtyard-oriented room offers a particularly relaxing setting ... A small reserve on the restaurant
For fans of the Jet Set, I advise you to go there during the fashions week. You will meet stars and models. Ultra chic Paris decoration from the 1900s. A beautiful swimming pool awaits you in the basement. I strongly advise you.
A Parisian institution even in the morning for a coffee
Super friendly adorable staff.Atentin places under renovation.
To do absolutely in Paris. Pleasant setting, cozy and baroque atmosphere. Do not expect to enjoy haute cuisine dishes, you pay the setting, the level of the kitchen has dropped.
