Also for me as a business traveler the Angerhof was an experience.
A very nice large room with modern bathroom, a perfect Austrian buffet and the friendliness of the staff are to be highlighted.

On the whole, okay, but that's certainly not 4 St. Super! 30 years of experience, but also unfortunately 30 years no change (Eh for a modest audience or for those who have been traveling for 20 years.) In our room the heating broken, the solution was - a hot water bottle !!! In a superior hotel that was not even full, beauty treatments are always for inexperienced people who do not have much to do with today's treatments.Now the food is: the soup on the two consecutive days was too salty (but could of course be a matter of taste), but the dessert in one evening I could not eat at all.Of course the food in comparison with a hotel of a category with a star not to compare, but not a hotel with a 4 St. Superior accordingly.

Nice hotel with super friendly staff. It is not the newest, but clean and lovingly designed. Delicious food.

Very nice breakfast buffet. Large selection. Very friendly and attentive staff.

We stayed for a longer weekend at Angerhof and were treated to the fullest (!) Satisfaction. The spa is very nice and the staff (in all areas) very nice and accommodating. That's exactly how I imagine a 4 * s wellness hotel.

Wellness on the construction site

I was there a year ago and everything was great. A year later, the stay was a complete disaster. On the homepage, what is available in late Corona times is ambiguously advertised. Quote: "you already have an indoor pool etc." ... should normally read: "you only have an indoor pool etc." 10% construction discount was included, which we then had to argue about. Statement by the employee: "The discount was only valid until the end of August." But we had booked 2 months before and the discount was confirmed to us by email. In addition, the construction work is nowhere near complete. We practically had to pay full price for half of the advertised offers. The brine pools were completely out and were rebuilt. Very idyllic and pleasant when you lie in the relaxation rooms and relax there. Excavators and gravel trucks rush back and forth in front of the windows. The dust is then served in the face as a guest. This is probably a new type of face care routine. I don't know that much. The promised infinity pool, which should be 32 degrees Celsius, was freezing cold and not pleasant, then a little feeling of calm came up, the truck drove past again and gave everyone a facial made from the finest gravel dust. The food was totally too salty and the cleanliness in the rooms left a lot to be desired unless you like thick tufts of hair next to the bathtub. The waiters were very nice and accommodating. The boss made this a mess in front of the entire workforce, but what can you expect in such circumstances. Leadership skills equal to zero. Minibar was always empty and if you wanted a bottle of water in your room you had to pay 5 euros for 0.7 liters. Very decent, isn't it? That was the 3rd stay in this resort and therefore also the last. I realize that Corona makes things difficult, but you can't just shift everything onto Corona and lure customers with false promises and offers. Everything is set to ambiguity (homepage) and discounts are only given after a long struggle. The 1999 commercial is still on the TVs in the rooms. The system now looks completely different and resembles a bomb attack. If you watch the commercial and then look out of the window, you are somehow surprised and think only one thing: "Am I right here?" ... a very clear "NO" is the answer. Save the money and go to a decent wellness hotel.

We have been here for the second time and like to come back to the beautiful Angerhof.

The hotel is currently under renovation - which was communicated by the hotel. Our expectations that it could get a little loud or dusty were NOT true. On the contrary! The staff was always extremely friendly and courteous. The rooms are getting a bit old, but very cozy and large. What strikes me again and again - but that doesn't just refer to the Angerhof - why build a bathroom made of glass ???
With food: there is usually a menu from which you can choose meat, fish or vegetarian. The portions are absolutely sufficient! Then theme nights are offered, where you can help yourself at the buffet. The lunch snack is not a lunch snack, but another huge meal. There is fruit / soup / bread / salad / cake and much more. offered. My tip: do not eat too much, otherwise you will not be able to make the dinner.
The wellness area is - as already mentioned - under renovation, nevertheless one could switch off very well and feel comfortable. The infinity pool is a dream. We had snow, the panorama was indescribable, because you can see as far as the Alps. All in all we will definitely come back - just to see how the gigantic new building has developed.

Plant looks nice. Staff friendly. But standard rooms are not really satisfactory for a 4-star hotel. On the first day there was already a lack of soap, shampoo, toilet brush was very dirty and toilet lid was broken - it was not replaced either, despite the notification. Fitness room in the basement without a view u very modest, simply loveless. Wellness area extensive but totally confusing. For me, the expectations did not meet

The time was beautiful and unforgettable. The food was every day a new delicious delicacy. You can not miss that. Such a great and friendly staff we did not know ... many thanks for all contributed to such a great holiday.

A great hotel with a great kitchen. The wellness offer is currently being expanded vigorously. The construction noise is kept within narrow limits. Next year in autumn we will be back. We are looking forward to it.

Everything at its finest! Wonderful area! Unfortunately a negative point when the consideration of the guests in the wellness area. Loud private and telephone calls have no place in quiet zones.

I spent the Easter days here: A really recommendable spa hotel. Friendly welcome, smooth and uncomplicated check in. Rooms appealing and comfortable. The spa leaves nothing to be desired! There is even a separate room for children's games! Also suitable for a family stay!
Room service excellent.
Breakfast and all the culinary offer: great! Entertainment every evening - for those who like it. On Easter Sunday, each guest was greeted by a large purple Milka chocolate bunny at the breakfast table. Very attentive!
But especially noteworthy is the service. I hope the boss is aware of what excellent staff he has !!! Both in the restaurant and in the other areas. Without good staff, everything would be worth half as much!

As a supervisor of a group with people with disabilities, I unfortunately spent last week in a hotel where my personal values did not match.

After three days we were put in a separate room to eat. We were told by the manager that hotel guests complained because we were too loud. At the request of the hotel guests this could not be confirmed.

We were discriminated against and deeply offended.

The suspicion did not let go of us that the procedure started mainly from the boss of the house. She compared our group with children playing loudly, which she would also put in a separate room.

The hotel staff tried very hard to compensate for the wrongdoing of this person.

In addition to the location, the greatest potential of this hotel is the staff. Highly motivated, super friendly people can be found in all areas (reception, restaurant, kitchen, room, wellness department, etc.).

The reception was very friendly and helpful. The room was OK, unfortunately a bit old (very stained carpet) The bathing area was unfortunately very disappointing. Felsenbad - out of order. Countercurrent system - brine pool out of operation - no music to be heard, neither inside nor outside. Outdoor pool - bubble jets defective. When asked at the reception why nothing worked, we were condescendingly sold for stupid, we just didn't know where to press (we pressed countless times) I couldn't understand the behavior of the service staff ... No smile, bored, listless facial expression, no friendly word, no greeting. We sat in front of empty glasses for 20 minutes at dinner and also at the bar. What deserves the 4 stars here is the kitchen team. From breakfast to dinner top!

We conducted a seminar with 17 participants. From the first to the last minute the service was very good and flexible. The supply was perfectly matched to our concerns. The food in the restaurant was very good. The rooms are comfortable. The participants enjoyed the wellness area and the sports area. Recommended!

We spent 2 nights with my family in the hotel Angerhof. The reception by Mr. Schauer was warm and obliging. We were escorted to the room and then immediately after the wellness area tested. The large spa invites you to relax and to feel good. At the delicious food on requests of the children were received. The service staff are very accommodating and friendly!
The rooms are nicely decorated and very clean. In general the Angerhof is highly recommended we will definitely return. Thank you for the nice weekend!

(Predigstuhl Resort) was not endurable.
The food was top notch (the best schnitzel in my life), you were taken care of from A to Z and the ambience is of high quality and level. So you want food, then you can also talk of enjoyment, even if the price is just as high as the flair. But good performance costs just and in this case, it was worth it, without ifs and buts.

Great atmosphere, nice staff, delicious food and an extensive spa area

Once and never again. When we decided on the Angerhof, it was because of the good recessions. Unfortunately, we cannot share these after our visit.
But first on the positive side:
The Angerhof is very beautiful, with a view of St. Engelmar. This view can also be enjoyed through the relaxation room in the wellness area. The outsole pool is well tempered and also offers a beautiful panorama.
The room was clean.
The wine and beer were outstanding.

Now for the negative:
The whole system is very old. The charm of the early 2000s is expected in the room.
The wellness area is very small for the size of the hotel (we searched for a long time before we noticed that it wasn't there anymore).
Many offers are subject to a surcharge.
The loungers are mostly occupied (guests reserve here with towels while they are sitting at the buffet.) We then shared a lounger, although hardly anyone was in the wellness area.
The food was our biggest downer. The Swedish furniture store can also keep up with the salad buffet. With the pumpkin soup we have been wondering what has been processed here (no employee could explain that to us either. My tip would be meat broth with pumpkin seed oil).
When it was time for my main course, I was accidentally spilled a glass of beer. Something like that can happen, I have no problem with that, but at least the clothes would have been cleaned here. When asked about this, they wanted to inquire (nothing happened here).
When I got back to my place, having changed clothes, I saw the slightly desperate face of my partner as she poked around in spaetzle without sauce and red cabbage. There was no vegetarian alternative. When we asked, we were told that you had to find out in advance so that you didn't throw anything away (I think it makes sense, but what happens to the meat that is not eaten?).
The boss himself then made us Asian noodles with a lot of soy sauce (I really appreciate this gesture, thank you very much).
The next day we canceled dinner anyway (the reimbursement for dinners not taken in the house brochure was only removed from our bill upon departure when we explicitly asked).
The waiters were very stressed and sometimes seemed annoyed by the guests (exception here, the trainee (very friendly)).
On the last day the chair from two days ago, covered with beer, was still next to our seat.
The fire alarms were available but marked as "without function".

There is definitely no four star flair here. Other hotels offer here for less money, better amenities, better food and a more pleasant stay.

We have been there several times and are always very satisfied. Very friendly, helpful staff. Desires are implemented as soon as possible. Madness delicious food and a beautiful large spa area, where the soul can build up. We will be back.

Very nice hotel with clean rooms. The wellness area with sauna and swimming pool both outside and inside is absolutely recommendable. The 5-course menu is more for gourmets. Breakfast buffet is rich. An absolute recommendation.

I have been a regular at this wonderful wellness hotel for several years. The friendly staff is very courteous. The food was always very fine. Now my husband and I have booked at short notice for the wedding anniversary. Surprisingly, we got a really great upgrade. I felt like the princess on the pea. Such a wonderful surprise, thank you very much !!!!!. The current construction site did not interfere, almost no noise was heard. The indoor brine pool has just been renovated, well, that's the way it is ... now it's fit again. I am really looking forward to the new wellness area and the sun terrace and the winter garden in the dining area. And all the effort for the same number of guests. Great .... always a great address for a break in the Bavarian forest. And the best thing for me about this hotel is this magnificent view of the Alps. The super plus !!!!! I will come back in summer and then I will enjoy the new wellness area .....

Well. It must have been good, so mediocre now. At early arrival breakfast would be offered. That we were charged for 30, we should only determine the checkout. Mornings spa impossible, as sauna opens only from 11 o'clock. Food ok, service okay. But not more than that.

As always, we felt very comfortable. Food and service very good. The new swimming pool is also great. We were only a little disappointed when we checked in, we were there 2 hours earlier than planned. The young woman at the reception said we could use the spa for 15 euros per person. Why should you pay 30 euros for 2 hours when spa and bath are included in the price from 2 p.m. anyway. Shocked, we went for a 2 hour walk. It was a stupid start to my birthday. We were greeted with a welcome drink from other hotels in this price and star class. Wouldn't that be a nice start for the Angerhof?
