Clean, super friendly staff, great breakfast. In the restaurant it was great service and excellent food

Who likes to hear the U Bahn while sleeping, should take a room on the ground floor. Awful! The staff goes to laugh probably in the basement. No nice smile or other courtesies.
The rooms old and the mattresses fun of worn out. Certainly not again.

Fantastic service and cozy rooms! Its location is another plus for travellers who would want to go out for strolls!!

You should not be fooled by the presented on the street side premises (reception, restaurant, bar), the rooms do not correspond to this first impression ...

Is definitely not nice to check in at 3:40pm, get your key and go upstairs, just to find out that the room is still been cleaned. NOT PROFESIONAL SERVICE. This never happened to me.. Ever.. Until now... Desapointing!

Nice central location with friendly staff, rooms could do with AC as it's too noisy at night to have the windows open and there's no other ventilation.

There is a large selection at the breakfast buffet. Very comfortably furnished. A very old-fashioned chic style. The service is good.

The hotel is conveniently located near the main train station and the city center is easy to reach. The staff is friendly, the service good. My single room was small, but still adequate. The same goes for the bathroom. There was a safe place for my bike to lock in the basement corridor, which is not accessible to the general public. Due to the corona pandemic, breakfast was brought to the table and prepared according to my wishes. The hotel is recommended, but the rooms could use a renovation.

We were 3 nights in the old guard. Single rooms are very small, double room very generous. Staff always friendly and accommodating. Breakfast buffet always fresh and is regularly refilled. Nearby is the train station, parking is available for a fee. For us the perfect hotel for a city trip.

Breakfast was very good, staff very friendly, but I did not like the room.

Nice location with walking distance to most of Hamburg. Nice breakfast buffet with great variety and lots to choose from. Ok rooms and beds. However, it is close to the railway station and the streets around seem a bit like a place you do not go alone after 24 pm.

Once again a wonderful weekend in Hamburg and above all the Hotal gehsbt. Always my pleasure!!! Definitely my first stop when it's time to go to Hamburg !!!

Centrally located hotel with dated rooms, which more than makes up for the friendliness and service of the staff. We like to come back regularly and meanwhile for many years!

The location is just great, everything is close by, cars, railway stations, shopping. Wonderful buffet in the morning, but the room is small, just sleep, but I needed it. Recommend.

Small, musty-smelling rooms. Sheets and towels full of hair, under the pillow a small, living something discovered. Although centrally located but not recommended due to the facilities and the rooms.

The rooms are small but clean. There is no free water, all for money through the minibar. VaiFay is also paid. The restaurant is good, the food too.

Very tasty Martinsgans eaten. Table was nicely set. Very good courteous service. 6 people were 3.5 hours to eat there. Was a successful day.

Ideal accommodation for a city break. Close to the main train station, Hamburg's city center is within walking distance from here. Good connection to public transport. Parking spaces in the yard.

Friendly welcome, nice room, unfortunately no longer modern, but clean. Breakfast is good but not very good. Fresh fruit is missing and well, unpackaged products would be good to offer with less waste. Very good loose tea varieties. Conclusion not 4 stars but best suited for a weekend in HH.
