Food was delicious but I wasn't sure if I was supposed to throw my trash on the floor or put in the garbage can.

The jumbo all beef hotdogs were the best. Everything was definitely very good, but it is more fast-food rather than gourmet.

It was not a bad experience at all. But to me it was just OK.
If I were out with friends and they said let stop by Hot Dog Heaven, I wouldn't complain, but I wouldn't be overly excited about it either.
I do think it was good value as the prices were very reasonable. Not every place fits everyone.
If I were to offer you advice, I would say keep doing what you are doing. The place was packed and there was a steady flow of customers the entire time we were there.

It was clean, there were quite a few options to choose from. It was great!

Been going here since i was 7 or 8 with my grandfather. Now I go here with my daughter almost 20 years later. Best chili dogs I have ever had. If your in Amherst and don't try this place out its your own fault you missed out!

Place is too small and the parking lot is small. Difficult to get in and out of. Don't bring a pick up truck here.

It is the greatest hot dog restaurant in the world! Great food and good atmosphere !

HDH admittedly gets one free star for nostalgia, but I do still enjoy it as an adult, the prices are reasonable, and I love the classic no-frills sauerkraut.

Prices a lil high for what you get . Small drink small fry and a hamburger for $9.00. The food was ok bread was not fresh but cooked well . The fries were good . Some of the staff was friendly lady taking the orders was kind of brash.

We really like Hot Dog Heaven. They have fair-style fresh cut fries, hot dogs, chili dogs and various ice cream treats. They have been in Amherst for 44 years.

Set up in a former family home, their dining is a little cramped, clean but somewhat sticky( maybe cleaning solution?). This was the only thing that made this place a 4.

Last visit we got a person pak . 4 hot dogs , a medium fry and two drinks. We added a second fry, some chicken tenders and powdered sugar funnel cake fries plus a peanut butter sundae.

Yum.

Sad to hear about fire, we went there often for years. Great food. When we would go up to visit we would always make it one of our must stops, along with Mr Hero s, and Giovanni Pizza! We miss all three!! We are in Louisville KY now and a RN nurse I talked to today at KY Ford Truck Plant just told me today! They still have family also in N Ohio. I thanked her for info and immediately googled news article. Prayers for owners they can rebuild this long time local icon that has been a family favorite for years! God Bless them

Been going here since I was a kid in school. It has the best chili cheese dogs and fries!!

Normally a line out the door, but moves pretty quick. This time waited 15 minutes and didn't move. I would go back and try again.

A friend took me there for dinner. The place was very clean, and the service was excellent! I had the beef hot dog with saurkraut, and fries, and it was delicious! I remember going there years ago when my kids were little. And it's still a great place to eat!

Not as good as it used to be when I would go after school with friends. Hot dog quality changed when owners did, I think. HUGE difference!! French fries are still the bomb though!!

I ate everything and extra fries from my girlfriend's dad who didn't eat all his and they have seasoned salt and malt vinegar for them they are my favorite fries at every place I didn't get any picture

Man oh man ! Hotdog heaven has the best hotdogs ever ! Ordered the chicago style hotdog and it was yummy ...The prices are very decent They have variety of icecreams, hotdogs, etc... The people who work here are generously kind ! :)

Fun and tasty, great for summer afternoon memory. Refills of lemonade was only 25 cents.

This place has been the same for as long as I can remember and just as good. The fries are great with malt vinegar.

I need to come here more often. I honestly forgot this place existed until my tennis team visited after a match. There used to be an Avon location too, but it has since been replaced by a local pizza chain (wether I used to work, small world).

I actually forgot to bring cash with me so I didn't get what I wanted, but I did get the mini corn dog bites as a sorry of consolation meal and they were way better than I expected (or rather, remembered from the Avon location).

You'll be immediately hungry upon walking in too-- the smell is just amazing. Like I said, I'm glad I was reminded of this place and I plan to go back when I am next able.

They Grill there hot dogs make some the best in Lorain County

The mini corn dogs are good, can't recommend the burgers or fries too highly though. In a renovated house though which is kind of cool.

The hotdogs here are very good, in particular it's the hotdog itself that makes it so tasty. It is cooked to perfection on a flat top and you can tell that it is a quality dog. I got chili on mine and it wasn't the best chili sauce that I had had, but it was still good. It had more of a tomato/ketchup taste to it than I typically like. This is my reason for the four star since the chili sauce usually makes or breaks a place like this for me. There fresh cut fries are amazing. They offer various combo meals for one person or multiple people depending on how many you're feeding. The regular sized fries are more than enough for two people to share. The food was fresh, but the service was still extremely quick.

Always good food for us when we visit! Be sure to try the fries cause they are AWESOME
