The number of rooms is very large. The public area is also enough.
But shared toilets sometimes have to wait for a while.
There are also beds and wooden doors that have some noise.
People who are sensitive to noise may not fall asleep
Coffee, milk, banana, banana, breakfast

My first time at a hostel and it was very pleasant. The staff is great. The accomodations were much more comfortable than I expected. Clean. Breakfast was a nice touch. Going to try HI in Chicago next!

Located very close to Union Square, it is a well maintained establishment. Lots of good food around. Staff is friendly and they provide complimentary luggage storage if you arrive early and if you leave late at night but have to check out in the morning.

Clean and friendly. Free breakfast but consisting of bagels with creme cheese bananas apples porridge and coffee. Old building in very good position. Very close to the Moscone Centre for conferences.

On the negative side: Only two showers and toilets per floor. The bed mattress needs replacement

Myself, husband and 8 year old boy stayed in a private room for five nights. We had the BEST time. The staff were informative when asked. The place was so clean. I never waited for a restroom or shower. Breakfast was probably our favorite time - great options, organic yummy apples, good coffee and an awesome area for everyone to gather and break bread. We found ourselves in the common room in the early mornings, reading our books along with other guests. We felt safe and sound. We walked and ubered to so many destinations, the location was great. Thank you to the whole team!

I'm always impressed with Hostelling International hostels! So clean and neat, and very modern looking, without being too trendy. As usual an interesting mix of folks, from young to old, respectful & polite. HI hostels generally have a plethora of things to do, and this one is no different, with lots of tours. Also this spot boasts a "theater" room, a laundry room, an internet lounge, and a kitchen, and the bathrooms are lovely. Rooms come with cute little bunk beds & lockers underneath the beds. They even gave out earplugs! Recommend this spot.
