I attended a Christmas party over 5 years ago, whose purpose was to introduce charities to the invited guests. I met the Hopeworks representative at the affair, Valerie Buickerwood , and I was both intrigued and impressed with the work of Hopeworks. I accepted an offer to visit the Hopeworks location to learn more. After less than an hour I was blown away by the young adults there, their passion and the obvious excellence of the program to have the participants succeed in life economically, socially, and in character. I chose this charity as a focus of my efforts. I discuss Hopeworks with clients, associates and friends constantly so that this GEM of a charity is know and supported. I am active in the Hopeworks Mentor program and, simply put, this is the best run charity that is making a difference in the day to day lives of the Camden area .young women and men each and every day. From that day I immersed myself into whatever I was able to do in action and contribution ... and I am on the front lines seeing that difference made daily with the young women and men that Hopeworks serve.
