Hooters of America Review

There's nothing wrong with Hooters. There's also nothing great about it. It is a sports pub with basic sports pub food. You know what you're going to get. Mediocrity reigns here...Hooters gets a solid "ok". The service is occasionally excellent, frequently good but has been spotty lately. You won't be disappointed here if your expectations are reasonable but you won't be wowed either.

Fun, hot day outside when we were there, nice outside patio, a little under staffed it seemed, but overall good food and Cold

Fantastic service and friendly service. Management has an eye on everything to make sure you get the best service.

Service was very slow outside. We waited 20 minutes and no one came so we asked to be reseated inside. Food came out, it was ok but nothing great like the other locations. The fries were cold and the wings tasted refried. It was clean and easy to find. Plenty of parking.

The service here is great pretty much everyone is wearing a mask and the food is incredibly good

Good chicken wings and beer. 3 stars because waitresses are very selective and treat people differently.
Eat here if you don't mind long faces.

Just bad service. Was told we arrived during shift change. Beer warm and served a broken glass. Shrimp over cooked and rubbery! Not a place to visit!

took way too long for someone to seat me here they weren't that busy over all staff was very lazy enjoy the food our waitress was very friendly

I can't fault the server but how does the original hooters not have the full menu other hooters have?

The Double 007 is just as good as when the opened, Clam chowder was a little runny not much taste.

The one and only original Hooters. A must stop for tourists.

Horrible customer service. I would never recommend this restaurant! Joe is the Manager and he was not accommodating or friendly. We had a party of 9 and he would not place us at an available table because a party of 20 called in AFTER we were waiting. Alana is the hostess and she also was not friendly and did not care that we were waiting as long as we have been. I would never recommend this restaurant...ever!

Food was great and my server Bailey was personable and helpful throughout my time at the original Hooters in Clearwater.

Our server Kellie was friendly and our drinks were filled in a sufficient amount of time. I do have to say that our food was the worst I've ever had at any of your locations tonight. The fried pickles had hardly any batter. The batter that was on it was mushy. So either they were undercooked, or the fryer temp was not hot enough. My son's fries were cold and undercooked. My wings were very small with hardly any breading on them too. This was not the quality I expected. I'm very disappointed in my visit tonight.

Great wings, sat outside on a beautiful evening. Very nice wait staff!

The Original Hooters with the "History wall" is a great place to bring out of town company to have lunch.

Back in the day you could ask for a waitress and your table now that has changed .. even if it's not busy you get whatever waitress is in that section.. corporate think outside the box

It was nice to visit the original Hooters while visiting the area. Server was very nice, food was pretty good, just a bit overpriced though.

Order wrong 3times had to keep asking for food we ordered that wasn't brought out to us.

Ordered grilled chicken breast sandwich. Chicken breast was tiny. Could not see chicken under bun.

This place has gone down hill. Oysters were bad, dark and small. Drinks weak and the wings greasy with no favor. Been here many times, not sure I'll be back.

Went on a dinner date with my fiance. The food and staff was great.

It's the Original Hooters! Great food great service and the merch is cool from this location. They have a Hooters history display inside. It's like a Hooters museum! Even if you only stop in for a beer, appreciate the outlets for your phone right under the bar.

Well where do i start as soon as you walk in the girls looked absolutely miserable to work there and are judging as soon as you walk in the door. Customer service sucked as if felt like they did not even want to do their job this is where they choose to work so do your job with a smile and make people feel wecome. The manager did not seem like his job mattered to him as well nor making sure his staff did their job correctly. The FOOD well the fries were cold but we ate them and the mild wing sauce tasted like melted butter with buffalo sauce mixed together did not tast good. When we would tell our waitress thank you we did not get a your welcome at all. Hooters was known for good food and service well not so much now if you dont like your job QUIT and if you cant cook fresh food go somewhere else or management needs to teach their staff how to cook and not eat on the line. Maybe corporate needs to step in shake things up a bit even with the manager that looked clueless.
UPDATE- i have contacted corporate and have yet to get a response i guess customers do not matter.

Was dragged here by my brother. I didn't want to come because of how the women dress, but I was pleasantly surprised. The waitress was very nice, and I really liked the food (wings).

The original spot! Always the freshest food I've ever had!

Went last night let's start with the beer was WARM! ordered 10 wings medium.... when the wings arrived they were sitting in a full plate of none flavored oil!!! I Requested blacked naked they returned with the same wings which were breaded pressed out the oil and put the dry rub on! It has gone so down hill!

Grew up in the area, and loved this place! Sorry to say I will go to Hillsborough for now on due to the many bad experiences including tonight. Both the waitresses and kitchen do not the orders right. I also never understand the long waits when business seems so slow.

This is why min. Wage shouldnt be $15 an hr poor service

Great people and you get an authentic sense being at the original hooters.

Great food, greater service. Only issue was a waitress spilled a tray, that happens. However liquid spilled on the floor wasn't cleaned for 20 minutes. Safety issue.

Never had a bad experience here. The girls are a little aloof, but I'm here for a beer and wings, I have a date!

Service has gone downhill from years ago. They had the TV turned up way too loud. Food was good.

I know I've gotten older but does that mean the waitresses had to get older also?

Mediocre food - original wings. Naked wings were good. Completely horrible service from the hostess to our server to the food runner. Very inattentive to our needs and made our experience far from enjoyable.

It was a very entertaining birthday celebration and the food & service was very good

Slow service, cold food. Everyone was done eating and we were still waiting for the rest of my dinner.

Food always consistent and reasonable. Service was adequate at best. This is the second time the service was not up to par hence my 3 versus 4 start rating.

Good beer prices, nice setting, plenty of seating, mostly friendly and hapoy staff, food is ok. It's Hooters not fine dining of course. The prices are mostly reasonable and there's a lot of parking which is great. There have plenty of screens for sporting events and recommend it for those times definitely. There's nice outdoor seating in a small area which is great on good weather days. Not a must see but it's good get together and hang or watch sports spot.

I had not been there in years, it was super clean, staff was great, food was amazing. I will definitely return.

Waited 15 minutes for someone to come to the table imI in my lunch break i order everything food don't show up so 45 minutes waiting for my food so now my 1 hour break is over i just got up and left

They have wings for everyone's tastebuds. And if someone in your party doesn't like wings, they can have a hamburger. It is a fun atmosphere with different sports playing on different tvs.

First time at Hooters. Did not eat, only visited gift shop.

Food was quick, and just what you would expect from Hooters. Waitress Jennifer was super attentive, and we received top-notch service. Well done!!

Took my little man here for a little bit. Wait was short, staff was friendly, food was and as fantastic as advertised. Great trip

Not a great experience upon my last visit. Dirty silverware. Additional items added to my bill. Rarely-present server who reeked of smoke when she did show up.

Great atmosphere, great food, best crab legs cooked to perfection, and great service, and great playoff games.
