Hong Kong Gold Coast Hotel Reviews

We booked a top floor room with sea view and got a room on the middle floor with a view of mostly the car park. We could see a tiny part of the beach that had heaps of workers and tractors still renovating and it was a zone we could not enter. The walk along the whole beach was renovating areas. We also had a buffet lunch that was expensive and had listened to very loud jack hammers while eating because of renovations to the building. It would have been nice of them to discount us due to unpleasant renovations or at least tell us about it when booking our room. And the booking of the rooms is all a lie and total rip off for a sea view booking. The staff are not friendly compared to other places we stayed in Hong Kong.

It is surprising that Japanese hotel is not good

I like it very much, the space is very wide, there is a yacht club, the restaurant food quality is good, the service is very good, many positions can affect each other!

We only visited the Thai restaurant in the hotel that day, but we also used the toilet in the hotel. The toilet was very clean.

Price is affordable.. if you lucky you may get 50% discount in special occasion..view is good.. beach very clean with imported with sand.. but quite far from downtown.. suitable for relaxation time

Loving its atmosphere of antique architecture including the user-friendly inner design which link up the harmony with jungle outside the rooms. Those reasons are more important then the new and odd outer hotel design with poor soundproof walls and bad performance of usage! looking forward to see the improvement on chinese food next time.

Good place for weekend Hideout and family. Though it's not a new hotel, it keeps crispy clean and nice services. 5 mins walk to beaches, supermarket and restaurants. Indoor and outdoor facilities for children. Ideal for family. Was there during weekday, the beach was peaceful.

A bit old fashioned design for the Hotel fittings and one might feel going back to the 90's of the last Century.

It s a good place for a vacation. The prices are reasonable. But now because the beach is closed, one thing is missing.

Stayed here twice for 2 summers. Rented 3 bedroom unit for a month each time. Our familiar enjoyed this location and the quiet surrounding. Security seems good in this neighborhood. Grocery shopping is ok with limited choice. Public transit to city is also convenient.

A good place for leisure and vacation, it is also a good place for fun and fun. The traffic is convenient. The proximity is the Golden Beach. You can enjoy the beach or use the hotel pool at the same time!

The room was large and clean & the night view was also beautiful

The staff are friendly and the room is clean and comfortable. The only problem is that there are mobile ice cream trucks stationed near the hotel during the day to play music, which is very disturbing and quiet.

Although the hotel is a little bit old, the maintenance is good and buffet is excellent. Can see the sunset at beach near the hotel.

Ok, the environment is good! There is another big beach. There are many restaurants.

A hotel conveniently located by Gold Coast Beach near Tun Mun, with very elegant atmosphere, a nice place to have a relaxing afternoon tea or a stroll in the hotel garden and the neighbouring area.

Good location to stay,far away from City traffic and crown. Beach is good. Food is good in hotel. Vegetarian food is very limited. People can go out to Golden plaza (500m) only for more food options.

I was here for 3 days. Quite and clean Rooms, the poolarea is also very good. Helpfull staff.

The front desk lady Sharon is very impolite when I am going to checking in. She used Cantonese to speak with me. I told her you must use English or. Very very bad experience ! I won t recommend this hotel. I think the front desk lady is not training well . Should not let her to treat the client like this

Great hotel, but don't take a room with a connecting door to another room, it can get noisy, even when the door is closed and locked. If the other room is occupied with multiple people. But I would go again.

The place is elegant and noble, the food is good, the attitude of the waiter is unfortunate, and the traffic is relatively poor.

Clean and comfortable. Shuttle buses into town, takes about 25mins, 30mins to the airport. Lots of mainland Chinese stay here.

Very nice surroundings, hot food and plenty of dessert

This hotel is nicely located near the stretch of the Gold Coast beaches and a small square with restaurants and grocers. A nighttime stroll along the promenade gives you a great view but if this is your first time visiting Hong Kong you may find that it is a bit out of the way for exploring. I was unimpressed by the always heated pool as its not ideal when you want to actually cool down particularly when it's 30+ degrees outside. Other than that I enjoyed the atmosphere and the staff were very informative.
