The worst company I have ever dealt with!! It started when they charged my credit card 325% of the dollar amount I had authorized for January 1st, 2021 payment! I have wasted over 20 hours on 7 phone calls, 2 emails, (unanswered, a complaint to the heakthcare.gov office, and a call to my credit card company. I was able to receive a couple of small refunds, throughout my many calls to customer service reps. All agreed that I had been way overbilled stating that I would be refunded the agreed amount of the overcharge. 6 different reps told me this, but not one followed through!! I will be filing a formal complaint with the AZ Insurance Commission next. I would not recommend this company to anyone, period!! Very unprofessional, no follow through, fraudulent charges, unauthorized to my credit card, with the worst customer service I have ever encountered, from any business!

The worst health care plan while I'm pregnant. I'm at my high risk pregnancy and this the second appointment I've missed because of transportation...I really dislike home state health they need to do better now I have to find a way to my last two appointments....

Your premium due on 07/31 only has a five day grace period after that until you pay for 07_31 your coverage is stamped suspended either way you must pay double premium by 08/31 or face lapse. We are canceling coverage at the next available date. USE AT YOUR OWN RISK!!!!

My ten-year-old has only been covered by this company through Medicaid for a few weeks and we're already having huge difficulties. My son is a type 1 diabetic, which means he is insulin dependant. I was shocked to realize they didn't approve one of his insulin prescriptions (he will die without this insulin). They then approved another form of the insulin, cartridges. These cartridges are for a device we do not have; and, apparently, they don't cover the device, and I can't even get it from the pharmacy. I have a box of insulin we can't use. I called Friday, but it was too close to 5pm so when I was transferred no one was there to talk to. Way to deprive a child of his life-sustaining prescription. I will be calling the other insurance providers to see if they will actually cover my son's necessities. Also, according to MO HealthNet, I am supposed to be able to choose a specialist as a primary care physician because he has a chronic illness, HSH said I could not so now I need to call the state, as well. Frustrating fiasco.

So far this "Home State Health" insurance has been severely lacking. First, There a not many options when it comes to health providers, and i was not able to stay with the doctor and dentist i have had since grade school. Second it was never explained to me that this "Home State Health" insurance is a "special" type of insurance, and therefore my optometrist appointment was invalid because they can only see two patients from this form of insurance a DAY? and only on weekdays? I wouldnt call special weekday visits limited to two patients a day "Compassionate" or "Coordinated" Care. This type of insurance doesnt even cover ANY of the MAJOR optometrists or dentists. When i search for doctors in my network only obscure and pop-up practices are available, i pay for insurance so i dont have to go to pop-up dentists and obscure family doctors.

Home state health has the worst customer service.
No one can give you any kind of real help or answers.
The only explanation I can ever get from them is it s not on our end so there s no way for me to help you an they provide me my coverage but yet they can t explain or fix the issues with my coverage. I was on the phone with some lady an asked her if she could send me to someone that can actually help me an she told me ma m there s no way we can help you have a nice day an hung up. I ll be canceling my plan soon an re apply somewhere else. I ve had issues with them for over a year now.

My husband went to st Luke s for some test he was required to pay 5x The negotiated amount up front. When we inquired they said it will take 30 Days to be refunded.
So we switched to liberty hospital had more test done no problem. Based on the results we were referred to the vascular doctors and were told that none of them except our insurance. The Ambetter policy was the only choice we had unfortunately within our county.
There policy is JUNK!
