My dad spent a week at this hospital and says he was abused by the attending nurse. She yanked the intravenous needle from his arm so bad there was blood all over the place. She also yanked the heart monitor off his chest while all the wires and tabs were still glued to his chest. He's 89 years pld and not a complainer, but will never return to this hospital again. I want to lodge a complaint, but he thinks it will be useless.

I spent the night at the Sleep Center @ Holy Name. My technician, Estelle Murphy was extremely professional, yet very soothing and personable. She made the test, that I felt uneasy about, a positive and comfortable process. For months I pushed off having this test, but I now realize that I should have done it sooner. Although I had limited interaction with the other staff members in the center, they seemed to be equally as impressive. If you require this test, have it done at Holy Name, and upon completion I am sure you will be glad you did it here.

I honestly don t even know where to begin to explain the amount of love and gratitude I have for Holy Name Medical Center and their Labor and Delivery nurses and doctors. My son was born Thursday, December 28, 2017. The staff at this hospital first and foremost kept me calm and encouraged through my delivery and acted quickly when my son was in distress. Never once did they lose their cool. They were able to do what they had to do while trying to keep me calm. After my son was born, there was never a moment where I was left in the dark or without answers to my questions. If I hit the call button, I was assisted immediately by a professional nurse who without question loved her job. Both my husband and I can not thank the staff enough for their caring support and dedication. I hope they know how appreciated they are and just how wonderful they are at their job. Thank you again.

Nice peopel but too slow, not the people but I dont know what. Our appointment was around 1PM. We didnt have any food or drink since midnight. But the procedures was delayed about 2 hours. We arrived at hospital at 11:30 am and got out around 7 PM. No food no drink for 18 hours. I'm sure there was a reason for the delay. Our case wasn't an emergency, so I shouldn't complain about the wait. It's the longest stay in hospital for same day procedure..

My mom has been there several days now with severe pain. I cannot say enough about the care she is receiving from the nurses, staff and naturally the doctors. It is very comforting to know that I can trust she is receiving the best care possible.

Name
Hospital. Today I went to the hospital I had shortness of breath fever for 3 days and many symptoms associated with the Corona. Instead because I had nasal
Congestion they refused to give me the test. They made me wait out side in the cold for half
Hour before bringing me into a bubble inside emergency room with 4 other sick people with the same symptoms.they did not provide me gloves they literally had a woman crying to use a bathroom and they wouldn t pay attention to her .... all the employees were given the opportunity to take the test in an outside tent and all the patients coming in were treated like garbage . I have been going to Hackensack hospital for years and have never had such a bad experience I would not recommend this hospital in the middle of the pandemic at all. No wonder the cases of corona are at an all

All the nurses in endoscopy were very sweet! Specially, I wish I found out her name, but she was a nurse who worked in endoscopy with dr. Koshhan-Bahm (not sure on his spelling of name). Grey hair, short, very kind This woman was remarkable. She was able to keep me calm when I was nervous and crying. She promised me I would be okay and made me feel very at ease. Another nurse named margaret was very very nice to the point i hugged her and told her i loved her

We will NEVER come back to this hospital again!!! ...

We will NEVER come back to this hospital again!!! The reason is 1) People, SPECIALLY "NURSE"" are LAZY, RUDE, and UNPROFESSIONAL. Nobody knows what they are doing. 2) NOT CLEAN. They used money to built fancy entrance and cafeteria but inside is very old and dirty. Even food was uh-uh.
Why do we have to get this bad experience when someone is sick???
We have lots of substitutions, other good hospitals in Jersey!!!!

Holy Name is the worst hospital in the world. They...

Holy Name is the worst hospital in the world. They should be closed down for all the mistakes the nurses make on patients. The nurses are the worst. They are uncaring and unfriendly. They can careless about the patients health. I have had two bad experiences one where the nurses almost over dosed my dad and also most killed. I had to call in a different doctor to come in and taken over and he was upset when he saw what the nurses had done to my dad but we were able to save his life. Then with another family on different incident. I also had reported to nurse that one of monitors were removed off the patient by accident and that the patient vital signs kept dropping. When I told the head nurse in emergency she would not move to go put the monitor back. She kept making excuses. Until the doctors came running and it was to late they had already killed my family member. Do not take your family to this hospital if you want to save their life.

If I could give this hospital a zero rating I would.

My husband went for occupational therapy for dizziness, the therapy was completely useless, and made his symptoms worse not better. Beware all Horizon insured as Holy Name is the only hospital in the entire area that is a tier 2 facility, so they clobber you with bills. I never received a detailed bill from the hospital, but I am confident that my husband went about five times and insurance was billed $3747.00...Nice p/t at about $700.00 an hour. These people should have had a gun and a mask on because we were robbed. If therapy prices are not reasonable or customary the patient should be warned, and if the hospital knows they are a tier 2 provider it would nice if the made the patient aware of this so they are not financially crushed. I had my two children in this hospital and on my death bed I would not go to this hospital again and neither would anyone in my family.

My daughter needed blood work done on a weekend. We went here, spoke with the billing dept. who claimed that they "accept our insurance". I am now being billed for the difference. This is an incredibly deceptive practice. If they claim to "accept" the insurance, than that should mean that they accept the payment that the insurance makes and not bill you for the difference. This was not the case here. BEWARE!

Dr park in the emergency room is the rudest doctor I ever came across in my life. And then Lisa the rn had the most disrespectful attitude I ever seen. I never seen a completely rude staff from the minute you walk in until you leave. I wouldn t come back here if I was on the verge of being dead and this hospital was the only one around. Besides that when the lady came to register me. Her first question was do you feel Spanish??? I m not kidding that is a standard question. I m still in shock that question came out of her mouth. Then the next question was what religion you prefer?? Like seriously is this even a hospital? Maybe trumps hospital. Horrible experience don t come here trust me you will regret it.

Best experience ever!!! No one wants to be sick or in need of going to the hospital. However, it does happen and if it does, you can not find a better hospital to be in. The care is outstanding thorough and compassionate. you are made to feel at ease and comfortable by very professional and caring nurses and doctors. They make you feel as though you are being treated by a close friend or family member. Further, it does not have that that cold, scary hospital feeling, you feel as though you are in a hotel. Have been to another close by "larger and very famous" ??? hospital and the care there in the ER was "0" stars. Very dismissive staff, nurses and doctors. When you ask for something they don"t even respond to you and react as if you are not even there. Holy Name, best place Hands down. A. Andronico

We picked the hospital because of the great doctors we encounter so far. I gave birth to my first child a few weeks ago. The staff were amazing! My nurses were a blessing! Everyone was so helped throughout the process. I couldn't pick a better hospital to deliver our first child. Thank you and keep up the good work !

Good service and well trained staffs. But beware of staying overnight if you can. Nighttime staffs are not that kind to patients in ER.
Even you push the emergency call button, nobody really care about it for a long time unless you scream really roud or go in person . Also you have to beg for a extra blanket or a pillow over the cold shouldered staffs . Of course you have to stand for a while against excessive preaching from that bossy staff .
Good to stay daytime as much as you can. Not the emergency room at nighttime.

Another issue is extra billing. I 'd already had a bad experience about that before. No matter what you have a medical insurance and they've already accept it. They sent a extra bill for a couple of thousand dollars from my own pocket long ago which was they had never mentioned in the begining.

An aunt of mine lives in Fort Lee, and was taken here a few times, this is a sorry excuse for a hospital. She got poor care, and they missed things. It is not Holy Name, it is really an UNHOLY SHAME. It has several nicknames, including unholy shame, holy cow, and wholly lame, and wholly insane. Go to HACKENSACK.

We had a very unpleasant experience there and I ca...

We had a very unpleasant experience there and I cannot believe they are billing us for what they failed to deliver. Our baby had a possibility of hip dysplasia, she was born in Mount Sinai in Manhatten, we were told have her hip checked with an ultrasound in 2 months. We live in New Jersey, so we thought that a big medical center like Holy name could do this simple procedure so that we wouldn t have to go all the way to New york. Our pediatrician from riverside group in NJ gave us the papers to do this ultrasound in Holy Name, we had an appointment and went there. It was march 28. The nurse who was performing this ultrasound couldn t get it done properly, was taking too much time, the baby started crying because it was so long and unprofessional. She wasn t embarrassed to ask another nurse questions like - do you remember which button to press and how to do it? I don t remember how to do this . They had NO IDEA WHAT THEY WERE DOING. Come on guys. You gotta be kidding me. Then we managed to get it done somehow. Don t get me wrong- they were friendly and nice, but UNPROFESSIONAL at all. And that s why we brought our 2 months baby to this place.
So we thought we are all set up, but upon our next appointment with our pediatrician at river side medical center we were unpleasantly surprised to hear that the ultrasound result that the Holy Name sent to them were not clear and need to be remade!!!!
In the end we had to make it to Mount Sinai in new york, where it was done properly. We were instructed what to do before the procedure and how to make the baby calm. Everything took about 10 minutes!!!! And was done perfectly.
And holy name is not ashamed to bill us for this horrible one hour and half of torturing our baby there. I just cannot believe it.

HNH deserves more than 5 stars. In my opinion they're the BEST hospital in the state if not the entire metropolitan area. The attention and care given by the staff is unsurpassed. Not only by the surgical staff and the nurses but the aides, the food staff, the cleaning staff and the transport drivers. I would tell anyone facing hospitalized and surgery to go to HNH.

If you have the chance to make it to any other hospital, avoid this one. If you are lucky like me you will get to sleep in the most uncomfortable chair ever while you accompany whoever is in the hospital. They cant afford enough recliners and the ones they have are all "being used". Also bring your own blanket and pillow because they wont at least extend you that courtesy since you are sleeping in a torture chair. Their solution? Go home, leave your elderly family member who is visiting you alone in the hospital. They are pretty slow for everything except collecting insurance information. Englewood is not too far, do yourself the favor and head there.

I've had two terrible experiences at Holy Name. My in-patient experience was awful, and I've heard from others that it was good. However I know that there are some wonderful programs there. The care is spotty, depending on the specialty you need. The ER was terrible. I went in an ambulance and still found little care compared to Hackensack and Valley Hospitals. However, I am now in outpatient physical therapy, and I recommend it. Years ago I had an injection in my spine there, by a doctor of my choice, and the outpatient procedure was up to date. Stick with the specialty departments like childbirth, and you'll have a good experience.

BEWARE. If you get something done here, even with the best insurance money can buy ( I have) BEWARE, bills roll in for months. They practice the "assistant surgeon" game. It cost me upwards of 2500 in additional costs...over and above the approved surgery amount. Google "assistant surgeon hospital bill". Your unexpected bill might be higher.

Teach Catholic doctrine (AKA COMMON DECENCY STANDARDS) at this CATHOLIC hospital. Your 20 year old AND 20 year old-in-spirit nurses and doctors walk around with LOUD, FOUL MOUTHS (ACTUALLY CUSSING IN THE HALLS). PEOPLE ARE SICK AND DYING and you have the MOST ARROGANT, UNAWARE staff I have ever seen (and I have been in and out of medical treatment my whole life.) I feel like I am back in college/high school soon as I walk in your doors. I am planning on writing many more letters to MANY more of your executives until I personally see something is done. NO ONE should feel more stressed in a HOSPITAL than they ALREADY DO. LORD have mercy on your management team because I don't even blame the staff at this point ( AND THAT is being MODEST / MERCIFUL.) Please expect way more communication from me because "FOOLS DO NOT TAKE CORRECTION well"- Catholic doctrine/COMMON DECENCY DOCTRINE. Shameful Shameful Shameful. Very sad.

Holly Names. I agree with the following powder that it is poor.
I do not send the results of the patient 's test to the other doctor twice, not once. I did not get the phone call, but I did not do it. I did not say that I left the message first and then the apple call. I received a voice message but confirmed that I had come from Holly Names without any words.
To apologize, you do not have to do it yourself. A voice message. It's also recorded without any words.
Clicking on a doctor's name similar and sending the patient's results there is also a result of irresponsible behavior that ignores the confirmation process.
I've been to many hospitals in the US, but I'm surprised to find such a ridiculous hospital holly name. I wonder if this will happen.
I wonder how Americans do such a great thing and do post-processing.

I really had a terrible experience in the ER last ...

I really had a terrible experience in the ER last night. I had severe flank pain that everyone in ER said I have a stone but weren't compassionate or fast to manage it. The ER nurse was rude!! Even my son said that. Doctor was late to see me and his exam was pressing on belly and back, THAT's IT. I WAS CRYING AND SCREAMING OUT OF AGONY BUT I HAVE TO WAIT.
When my son told them my dad is in excruciating pain and needs help right away, the reply was we treat patients Equally. So the patient with rash for a week will get the same care of 1 who is bleeding or car accident.
Call it racism or indifference, But I will never go back again. I asked the nurse to start the IV in my hand where I have good veins and she ignored me and put in my arm where it bruised and swelled. See pics.
The hospital is judged by the way its staff treat you not equipment or location!!

The staff in the ER was as attentive as they could be.

Management of this hospital needs to get their heads pulled from their arses and realize how severely understaffed they are.
Do not go here on a weekend as there is no one.
If you can, drive a bit further and go to a real hospital in the city

I give the staff, doctors, and nurses 5 stars
They are working hard

Whoever is running this hospital and making staffing cut backs to save money (seems obvious), needs to be replaced with someone who cares and doesn t just look at their bonus for a bottom line.
Seriously understaffed!!!!

Sorry no mri or cat scan available because it s a Sunday.
We don t have specialists here because it s a Sunday!
Seriously!!!!!
Medical care is not Monday-Friday.
Wake up Holy Name Hospital Management and hep your community!
We all need to make money but not at a cost like this!!!

Do NOT deliver your baby here. I only give it a 2 star because the nurses are great. Everything else is just a nightmare. I m close to giving birth and found myself having to go in for an issue. On the phone they said my husband could only drop me off. When we arrived they let him come up but said he couldn t come and go (covid protocol). Well they ended up keeping me for two days and because he didn t think he was even allowed in we were totally unprepared.
The maternity suites are old with few amenities, I don t see any of the things they list on their site. There s not even a TV for the room, Just a tiny one that pulls out in front of the patient only. When we asked the nurse why there wasn t one on the wall she laughed and said this isn t Hackensack . Even the staff know this is a lower level hospital. During the stay the cafeteria was under renovation and had zero hot food.... and we weren t allowed to order from the outside. They didn t even have appropriate diabetic foods for me. They thought croissants and cereal counted as diabetic food.....I wish I could switch to Hackensack for the delivery but I m afraid it s too late..... save yourselves.

This has to be the slowest hospital in Bergen County. We ve been here for almost 48 hours. Anytime you ask for the doctor, or when a test is scheduled they have no idea.

The ER department was a horrible experience. The ER doctor had no bedside manners and my dad felt so uncomfortable being here.

As someone who works for a hospital, I can say that no one should feel uncomfortable and things should not be this slow. There needs to be a change.

Went here explicitly because they were in my insurer's network. At no point was I told that they would use out-of-network doctors, or asked if this was OK.

Subsequently I've received a $1300 bill from an anaethesiologist who, it turns out, was not in my insurer's network. I am being balance billed.

So, my advice is to avoid this place. It's full of con-artists and charlatans, like most of the medical profession in the US.

I received a prescription from my Dr for an X-Ray and was advised by Dr to go to Holy Name to get it done. I usually go to Holy Name to ER if anything is wrong, because I always get great service and treatment. I went at 2pm on 12/19/18 (Radiology Dept). The receptionist looked at the prescription and said, "Looks like there is a problem." Turns out my Dr. forgot to sign the prescription. I asked if she wanted to call my Dr's office, she said know that she would after I get registered.

I got registered and she told me to take a seat. I sat for about 20 mins, this being about 45 mins from first entering, and all patients in the waiting room were gone and 2 new ones had just entered. I asked the same receptionist politely if she had heard from my Dr's office. She said rudely that she sent them the paperwork and still have not had a response. So I called my Drs and the receptionist there said she had faxed it back 20 mins ago.

While on the phone with my Dr's office, I approached the receptionist and said to her that I was speaking to the Dr and they said that they faxed it 20 mins ago. She completely ignored me, even though she was not on the phone and no other patients were there, and she definitively heard me. I left and my Dr's office sent me to University Radiology on Teaneck Rd and the service was GREAT! I was in and out in 15 mins. Very very disapointed with the rude, dismissive service that I received at Holy Name today!!!

DO NOT GO HERE!

DO NOT GO HERE!

We had the worst experience of our lives here. Paramedics and ER staff were extremely unprofessional.
First off, it took 5-7 minutes for paramedics to get there, and when they got there it took them a long time to leave and get my mom in route to the Emergency Room. The paramedics were having casual conversation and LAUGHING while our mother was fighting for her life.

DO WHAT S BEST AND AVOID THIS HOSPITAL AT ALL COSTS.

When she go to the ER, as they were trying to resuscitate our mom, one of the female medical professionals (in a white coat) was laughing while they were using the machine to do compressions. Basically, as our mother was DYING, one of the staff was laughing in the room. In addition, they did not allow all three of her children (us) in the room. The front desk clerk stated that they were trying to stabilize her. Meanwhile, she had no idea.

Lastly, as we were watching over our mother s body within family, we had one male medical professional come in to grab something; VERY INSENSITIVE TO US AND OUR LOSS. Who walks into a room while family just got the news that their loved one just died?! When the doctor came to speak to us about why she possibly died, he repeated I m not sure multiple times. In sum, even him as the highest regarding professional, could not even answer our questions or console us as a family who just lost their mother. We are so disheartened by this experience by the overall medical team and their insensitivity to us and our family.

To anyone thinking about going to this hospital, please do your best to AVOID it.

I can't believe all these bad reviews. Holy Name is my go to hospital. Always a pleasant experience, except when I go to the ER but that's because I'm in pain. However, they make the experience better. I wouldn't want to go to any other hospital. I go there for blood work, ER, MRIs, the whole nine yards and there is never an issue. I've been going to this hospital for more than 5 years at least, and there's never an issue with the staff. Everyone is so nice.

Even though I told them to update my address several times, they don t update. USPS mail forwarding service expired since my move was over a year ago. But during that time, I didn t receive any invoice from them. So, Off cause, they don t even issue invoices to my old address either. Lastly, 20k for biopsy is over priced obviously.

HORRIBLE customer service --- no call back and they do not take ownership of the call. They do not warn you about the charges. Their billing personnel transfer you without alerting you to where you are being transferred to. Managers do not call back. NEVER again. I will advice all my friends and family to avoid this hospital. They are RUDE in the billing department. But, they do send you mail asking for donations on a timely basis.

My daughter was hit by a vehicle on impact a Teaneck police officer witnessed the incident and said she was hit hard she was then transported to the Emergency Room by ambulance to the hospital where I feel we were not welcomed because we are of minority the care was not taken serious she was discharged 40 minutes after arrival the hospital refused to do X-rays saying that she doesn't seem like she's in alot of pain! This was my first and last visit at this hospital I do not recommend minorities to visit this Emergency Room because you will not feel welcomed it's sad that prejudice still exist.

Do not come here or take your family to this hospi...

Do not come here or take your family to this hospital for mamogram or anything else. They robbed my insurance and me. I did not notice until the third time that my wife has her mamogram on this hospital. For the third time my wife told me that she has to go back again for the second test for the third time for the fast 3 years. She was told that they found something and they want to make sure that everything is alright. I brought my wife again for the second test and was told again that "oh everything is alright we just want to make sure". After 3 weeks had pass my insurance statement arrived and upon checking it I notice that they billed my insurance TWICE for mamogran for almost $5,000 and myself again for $495 copayment. Then I realized that this is the third time they are doing this. I was so mad and I did not pay the charges copayment of $495, when they send me the bill for that amount. I called the hospital and told them that I will not pay them because they are cheating my insurance and myself and this is the third time they ask my wife to come back for the second test. I told them i am going to report them to the healh insurance fraud and to the better bussiness bureau. Since then they stop sending me that bill for $495 for my co payment. My sister in laws and our close friends told us they also experience that situation everytime they will have their mamogram in this hospital. They told me that they were also called at home and make them nervous that we need to come back for the second test that they found something and needed to be check again. After the third time this hospital cheated my insurance. We decided to go to Hackensack hospital and for the fourth time they test my wife they never called my wife for the second test and never cheated my health insurance. Note: if you also experience this house call for the second mamogram test better report them to your heatlh insurance provider.

Skip this hospital if at all possible! Brought my wife in on Friday at about noon. She was complaining of abdominal pain. Didn t wait too long in the waiting room before being triaged and taken to a room. Didn t wait too long before before she was taken for an MRI. Results came back and she s diagnosed with Diverticulitis. They gonna keep her for a couple of days so she can be on an Antibiotic IV drip. Now we wait for her to be taken to o her room. The male nurse (very nice and the best part of this stay) states that there were no available rooms becuase it seems that after the holidays they see an influx of patients.
Its now Saturday and 24 hours later and wifey is still in the emergency room waiting for a room. Ridiculous. Im originally from NY and unfortunately have been in emergency rooms all too often and tomes that either me or
mine had to be admitted we were in a room in a few hours. My wife is going in her 26th hour!
Keep in mind that this emergency room is very noisy with nurses paging all i the time.

Do yourself a favor and if you can skip this hospital emergency room, do so.
It is extremely hard to heal, feel better in this envoirment.

I have heard that the hospital in Hackensack is really good. Hopefully I ll never have to put that to the test, but one thing I do know if that if I can help it, I will NOT be coming to Holy Name Hospital in Teaneck NJ.

I only wish I could give more stars. Spent two separate weeks in this hospital over the summer, in June and July, for recurring electrolyte imbalances. I arrived confused and panicked and the entire staff took amazing care of me and put my mind at ease. They ran all the precautionary tests, made sure I worked with all the doctors I needed, and set me up with treatments that I could follow up with at home. The nurses were all sweet and so considerate, and I was even visited by Catholic volunteers for religious support, which was a nice surprise. No stereotypical hospital food here, either - you get a full menu to order from via room service. Everything is taken into consideration for the patient, down to the last detail. I'm seeing several specialists through Holy Name now. God bless this place.

I went to their ER this afternoon and I was horrified at the treatment. I was asked first of all, by the Triage Nurse why I didn't simply go to my Primary Doctor. I guess the best answer would be: "Because I enjoy visiting the ER on a Sunday afternoon!" I was there because I was in PAIN and could not wait until tomorrow. My symptoms were not at all taken seriously. Dr. Swab, the ER Dr. barely listened to my detailed explanation of my discomfort. I was told by him that no test would be preformed and it was "most likely" a migraine. Well, thank you, Dr. Swab for assuming that my health is in the best condition. I am absolutely mortified with my treatment at Holy Name, or, lack there of. Left on the gurney, alone and cold, no one asked if I needed anything or how long until I would be given anything for my discomfort. (My dogs are treated better at the Animal Medical Center in Manhattan). When you are ill, you are seeking comfort and understanding. This institution fosters employees whom are desensitized to expressions of empathy toward patients. To make matters worse, the patient next to me, with similar symptoms by the way, was waited on hand and foot. Blood tests, EKG and a blanket to boot. I am home now, still not well and having to wait until tomorrow to see my Primary Dr. I was hoping to receive complete care from Holy Name ER. Never again! I simply walked out. If you are looking for disinterested, cold, uncaring, unprofessional health care employees, this is the place for you. Thank you for the favoritism that you showed to my neighboring ER patient. It was enough to have my patron Hackensack and Valley for as long as I am an NJ resident. Holy Name - NEVER AGAIN!!!

ER visit for severe asthma attack. Registrar was very prompt at getting me in. i waited less than 10 minutes. Waiting room isn t too large so the registry does have a clear view of you in case you do significantly worsen. Right when I came in, they took me to get vitals and a chest x-ray. I was waiting less than 5 minutes after my x-ray was cleared before my nurse called down for respiratory to begin my treatment. She was very very prompt.

The treatment for asthma attacks is rather uncomfortable and is at least an hour. It raises your heart rate quite high and will cause anxiety. I have a history of panic attacks. My nurse Suzanne (sorry if i remembered it wrongly) made sure to check up on me and calm me down while paying attention and giving quality medical attention to her 10+ other patients. Great multitasking and because of my nurse, I didn t have a panic attack! They really don t rush you to be discharged unlike other ERs and every single staff membered remembered to check IDs and samples to make sure they matched. There s so much order and I believe a very low chance of mistakes in this hospital.

My nurse checked my vitals right at discharge. Because my heart rate was still rather high, she allowed me to stay until my heart rate lowered a bit. Quality care.

Holy name also has a great financial office that works with you if you have financial issues. All my EMT friends recommend this hospital for emergencies. i do as well.

Wanted to schedule an appointment with the pediatrics urology department for my newborn son and the doctor s assistant was extremely rude and unprofessional. Had the nerves to tell me let me explain something to you when she was asking me about my insurance policy number that at the time I was unable to give her since I was driving. I told her I was driving and I was going to have to call her back and her attitude worsened. Disgusted by the treatment and canceled the appointment ASAP. I did not feel comfortable taking my newborn to see them.

I have been admitted to Holy Name about 3 times over a 34 year span. I have always found the staff to be helpful, courteous, and kind. It is always my first choice.

BTW - for those complaining about being balance billed after they were told that the hospital accepts their insurance ... Accepting insurance means that the they accept the contracted amount as payment in full. Patients are always responsible for their deductibles, coinsurance, copays, and non-covered services.

we had to take my dad to the emergency room here 2 days ago and you'd expect that at 11 pm on a saturday night, the staff would be irritable and just wanting to go home. surprisingly, everyone was very kind and patient. the nurse that attended to my dad gave him the treatment he needed and smoothly too. i just pray for you if you're in an absolute dire emergency and you're trying to find the er yourself. it's difficult.
