Hollywood Casino Joliet Review

Casino is clean and spacious with lots of helpful staff. The gamblers were having a good time on a Saturday night!
The live band is separated from the casino floor but it's easy to get from one to the other. They might want to increase their maintenance coverage on the weekends as I saw a few popular slots out of order, a non functional soda fountain and one of the 2 up escalators was broken.
My party and I had fun regardless & we'll be back soon.

Not impressed at all, especially the buffet. Cake that shouldve been cold (for food safety reasons) werent cold. Food was spread out and not organized. Felt like everything was sitting out for hours.

No food ,drinks and no credits and rewards for playing I don't know what is going on, we love this place before!

It is terrible that only three people can play at a table. How can you have fun in a casino if you have to wait in line to play at a table.( Etc. Roulette)

My wife and I had a great time. They had a nickel crap table on a Saturday night! Plenty of parking and a friendly staff! Lots of penny slots for the wife. They also have a smoking area for those that need!

This place nice. They only give some people hotels and free play . How I know my friend don't go here anymore she has not been here. Since 2015 And she ALWAYS get free room And free play. I was going once a month and wasn't getting ANYTHING. I. Started going last year. And spending good money. But I never got a free anything. So don't think I will go back.

Came here on my 21st and won $10 so I'm definitely not complaining.

I felt really safe there very clean all wearing mask not all machines being used for social 6ft. Hand sanitizer everywhere plus a good time

Camp ground is nice but needs to be kept up better. Free breakfast is not that great. People taken care of that are rude. If you don't like your job quit it.

Food at 99 hop was bad, service was bad, rooms are outdated, remote for tv didnt work, bathroom toilet ran all night. Elevator didnt work. Limited tables open in the casino. Dont bother.

We stayed in the RV Park. Very clean, quite and security was very present. You received free breakfast which was ok however by 9 they were out of plates, and a lot of the food. Took about 20 minutes for them to restock. There were only about 1/2 dozen guest wanting to eat so it wasn t like it was a mass crowd. The front desk staff was very friendly and accommodating when we arrived in the evening on 8/29.

Depressing place. Dont gamble. The rich get richer and you get poorer.

There are good reasons why I don't go there often. I understand how casinos work, you can't be a winner, right? But come on, I lose quite a bit of money in a few days span and can't get even a minimal jackpot? Not even a good return to stay and play? Ridiculous. So is the atmosphere, it's always empty even on a Friday night, the location of the poker machines is creepy, no light, no a/c...
The waitresses are nonexistent, takes them a big deal of time to come with the order, when you're lucky to catch them to order. Not sure when I will return there.

Always relaxing. Don't always win, but I feel like you get to play alot on your money more do than many other casinos.

Stayed in RV park the other night. It was quiet and clean. We had a dying tree too close on our site and it scraped the side of our rig, we think we can buff out the scratches, but that tree has got to go! Price was higher than expected for water/electric only-not full hookup. They offer shuttle to the casino, where we had dinner. It was nice. They took Good Sam discount and offered a morning breakfast at the hotel.

I've been here a few time, including their New Year's party for 2020. The buffet is decent and certainly above average for a buffet. The Casino floor is clean and inviting, I was new to casino Blackjack and the dealer was very friendly and helpful. The weight staff is very easy to wave down from the slots and the bar has everything a bar should. I enjoyed my visits despite being a person who lacks the gambling bug.

There machines are very bad i gamble across the USA never have i been so displeased never agian

Place was filthy. Had several areas that smelled bad. Dirty glasses all over. Cocktail servers were good. Feel sorry for them working in a dump.

The room was great, the breakfast was delicious and the service super friendly and helpful!

They need to have more low buy in tables for blackjack, they usually only have one or the 5$ buy in table is always packed

After rude staff, super tight machines, and not having any smoking area's, I decided to eat and leave. $20 for a single buffet that was worse than most prison meals. Cold food, served instant cook sides, and I ask for water and get a single 8 oz bottle that tasted like they scooped it from the toilet, not to mention the rude hostess who copped an attitude when I didn't leave a tip at a buffet. The only reason I didn't rate 1 star was because of 1 dealer who had a great attitude even though the cards were going south.

I liked the newness of the games, but the card reader in over 90% of the games did not work until you played around with it for several minutes, and my card is fairly new. Can't tell you how many points was list because you look up and the reader is not working. Minor but still a pain...

Pretty much what you would expect from a casino hotel in the sticks on your trip through, pretty good breakfast in the morning though. Was a little disappointed to find out that the casino no longer had poker as that's why we stopped but the Harris was only about 12 minutes away and they had plenty of action so not a huge disappointment. The burger is not your thing this would be unacceptable choice but I wouldn't stay there again for that.

I HAD A PARTY BUS GOING TO THE CASINO. WE HAD 60 PEOPLE ON THE BUS. WE tried to phone ahead to let them know WE were coming. We were never answered by anyone on the telephone. Called 3 times. Put on hold for 25 minutes. Never got through. We wound up calling Harrahs. We went to Harrahs instead. Screw this non answering dump!

I'm used to a larger casino with more variety. It's not that this casino was bad, just not what I was expecting. Drinks were cheap which was a plus.

I realize gambling is gambling... I know more chance you will lose then win.. But when you spend about 100.00 bux and you dont bonus at all... Thats pretty horrible!! The food is good here but thats about it.. I wont gamble here again.

We are staying at the RV park. The free breakfast we had this morning was not very good. The breakfast attendant couldn't keep up with the crowd. She had the nerve to tell me to use tongs to take my own bagel. Then the attendant came out with a bag of waffles to fill up the ben. She touched every waffle with her bear naked hands!
I was disappointed with this top notch Casino free breakfast hospitality.
Campground is nice big spaces, convenient location.

Pleasantly surprised. Had a nice dinner at Final Cut, listened to live music and won a little money. Great night!

I did not start in the hotel, just got the casino for a quick gambling run. I like many of the slot machines they have. Tables are limited though, especially at night when many are closed.

Great friendly people and if you throw like I throw you can share the dice with me

I actually came here specifically to play poker, unfortunately they closed down their poker room. This was a bummer for us but the place itself is pretty nice otherwise so as long as poker isn't your thing you will probably have a good time. Hotel is nothing too special but I'm not too picky so was fine for me.

Through my job they celebrate the annual staff appreciation day, and we get a free lunch buffet style. We been going there for 5 years now. I never had a compliant about the food or service in the buffet style,but this time I do. The variety of food was not there this time, also the replenishing of food was horrible you had to wait for a while and imagine approximately 500 employees in line getting there food and others waiting. The server said they run out of glass cups or even the hard plastic cups so the were serving small water bottles for those that ask for water.
For this place to be a Hotel and Casino which we know is not cheap the food and service should be priority which I believe lack.
