Hollywood Casino Joliet Review

Hotel is reliably clean, and staff is friendly and accommodating. Parking outside hotel is free. Parking at casino includes free parking outside, as well as an enclosed parking deck. Breakfast at hotel includes hot items, bakery, and yogurt. Coffee is great. Casino is large with plenty of slots, video poker, and table games. Buffet at the casino was sad. Bowls in salad bar we're almost empty, choices of entrees not great. The steak house food was excellent, but pricey, and service was very slow. The sandwich restaurant was just right...good food, good service.

Very friendly service people. The breakfast was made special for us, we have the usual and miss out on bacon and breakfast burritos. The accommodated us and made special and brought to room. Room is always very clean and the people that work there go over the top for the guests. Love staying there, my only hotel I stay at. The gambling is a little perk to get out of room, but love going back to room for night and soak in large hot tub. Very relaxing! You will not be disappointed with the stay. Patty

Terrible service still...between slow valets, terrible food at buffet, slowest workers you can find anywhere...even with comps not worth going.....

So with a generic response like that I understand why everyone I know prefers the Aurora location or even Harrahs there in Joliet. It's pretty clear you don't have the consumers best interest in mind but rather oh well, it is what it is. Pretty pathetic public relations if you ask me.

I liked the place, a tad less nuts than Vegas, but a cool opportunity to burn a couple of 20's... Will go again.

The Easter buffet was a little disappointing but the staff was awesome

Casino staff was rude, minimums were high, and this place is a far cry from any kinda casino experience you d get in Vegas... wanted to come see what it was like and I guess I was optimistic.

Money pit... have tried this place several times and never walked away feeling like I was given enough playtime to even call it entertaining. Machines are so tight you can hear the dead president on the bill groan when put into the money slot...

Really poor experience every time I've been there.

Better off putting you money in a charity jar at the last convenience store before you get to the casino... just go in and watch and comfort others who may be losing their shirt.

6/5 blackjack?? Are you kidding me? Slots are tighter than a seized piston! Loosen them up and draw more money. Best business model is spend money to make money. Won't be back until i hear slots are looser and 3/2 Blackjack is back.

Very fun place. You can buy some decent food inside for not more than 5, beers are cheap tho.

The slots are not paying or table games are down to 5 seats

Within 30 minutes of play had a hand payout for over $2000 definitely a fun spot!!

This is a very nice hotel and its definitely worth the dollars! We were treated very courteously. The staff was extremely friendly. The room was very clean, and comfortable. I would recommend to friends!

This place is a joke. They are so horribly ran that they allowed a player to steal my money! Assault me! I wrote a review detailing the incident and now my review is gone? NEVER come here! Staff, management and OWNER have no idea how to run a casino

Overall not a bad place, but limited floor space with all the slot games. Rarely see a drink server come around.

Sunday August 25th, late morning, I was trying to play roulette and this guy running the table wanted to talk about himself and football instead of spinning the wheel even though us few players were tapping our feet waiting. Then he insults me by asking a question then doing the 'swipe over his head' motion as if I didn't get something. Ironic since this giant flea has no skills to earn him a real job, yet he thinks he's actually smarter than anyone else. I doubt I'll be going back here anytime soon.

Staff was friendly. Booked a room for a wedding. Was disgusted to find when I opened the door I was put in a smoking room. Wasn't told when I booked that there was an option. I'm an allergy sufferer so staying in the room was miserable. The mattress was worn out and made it impossible to sleep. The showers were also bad. The shower head was mounted about 8 inches too low which made for an awkward shower in the morning having to stoop very low just to have the water reach my head.

Need to improve on Buffet, I've been to better for cheaper price.

Good food at 99 hops (more waitresses are needed for that big of a crowd though), enjoyed the casino it was clean and had a lot of machines, plenty of outdoor smoking areas, hotel had friendly employees, clean and a comfortable bed. Biggest problem was the unbelievable high price for one night @ $200 but it was the closet motel so they can grab you. Never paid that much for that type of room anywhere other than a big city. That was disappointing.

This place is a rip off. I went in with a $100 and left with nothing.

Always a fun time and it's Saturdays they usually have a band that's pretty well known around the area

Didn't go tonight. Waited on hold for 20 minutes to talk to a host and finally hung up.

Clean good. Could use a bigger poker area but it gets the job done.

Had a great time. Just too far to travel frequently.

Clean, entertaining, smoke free, friendly, great variety of slot machines, great restaurant food and overall great place to visit for fun.

Full hook ups for a decent price. Best casino rv parking we've been to. They have restrooms and showers (we didn't use them). They also have laundry facilities inside the hotel. Free breakfast in the hotel each morning was nice!

The hotel was nice with great staff and ok food. The Casino on the other hand is slightly different. The security letting people in wasn't very friendly and made me and my friends feel unwelcomed. The casino is also small compared to Horseshoe in Hammond.

Buffet leaves much to be desired. 4 stars because I won money

Slots have a decent mix of old and new games. Many pay enough to keep me playing and entertained for a while. Dealers are friendly. Played Mississippi Stud Poker on 1/20/2020 and Brandon was the dealer He was friendly and engaging with us at the table which made it feel like game night with friends instead of a big casino. Haven't ate at the restaurants in years so I can't give an accurate review of the food venues and never stayed at the hotel so have no opinion on that. Security Officers greeted us as we walked in and thanked us for coming in this evening. I've played at and visited many casinos and this is one of the better ones I've visited.

Bar is cool but the service is slow and unfriendly. Casino didn't offer any blackjack tables when I was there. Slot machines were a sham.

Great Hamburger and coleslaw. Variety of craft beers. Plenty of slots and video poker. Plenty of parking and hotel if needed.

Was one of my favorite places to stop. Im a truck driver & no more truck parking, so no mofe Hollywood St. Louis.

11/22/16 Over The Road Truckers they come into town very late and find out all the truck stops are full come on over to Hollywood Casino and do some gambling there's plenty of room and check this out.... I just submitted some photographs of wild turkey grazing in the yard just before Thanksgiving how perfect..... it's making me hungry haha.... HAVE THE BEST THANKSGIVING YA'LL.... :)))))

Use of RV Park only. The sites were ok, clean toilets, shuttle to the casino. "Continental" lunch included in the price of the night for RVs but higher price because of that and the lunch is not really worth the value. An omelette stove and a bacon stove! No fruit, no potatoes nothing more. Yogurt and individual gruel, bread available, orange juice "minute maid" and coffee. No washable utensil, all plastic, no recycling either. Outside the City in a more industrial part. Let's say you can surely find better!

Not bad. Hotel could use some upgrades. And found a few spiders in my room

It's a great place to have fun, however my daughter took me there for Father's Day and the buffet was poor. There was not enough (hot) food and it look dry and all I ate was the salad.

Casino's were nice when only real "Gamblers" went to them and the Cocktail Waitresses looked like Paris Hilton!!!
Now everybody thinks they are a professional gambler.

No wonder they don't have to payout any money anymore, Most people don't know what their doing anyway.

One of my favorite smoke free casinos. Plenty of fun penny slots to play as well as gaming tables. Hollywoods Rewards benefits (free slot play, dining credits, hotel stays) are very nice to receive & I completely enjoy redeeming them.

The food was just ok, the band was a great band because I seen them before but at this place the sound guy made them sound terrible...they sounded better outside in a small wooden shed at sizzles hamburger joint!!!

The laundry facility is closed, no free breakfast as stated in the website, no place to dump gray water or any water at the rv park. No pool, grill or firepit either. We could have stayed in a cracker barrel parking lot, been just as happy and saved money.

Easy to have fun if you want to go broke chance of winning are slim to none .
