My first interaction on July 1st was not a pleasant phone call that I received. However, I called back myself on July 2nd (hoping to get a new representative) and spoke with a Miss Little. She was very pleasant, explained everything in detail as I have never had a medical bill go to collections before and was unsure and unaware of the process. I was confident to set up a monthly payment plan with her to get the bill paid. Thank you Miss Little for you time and detailed explanation of the process. It s greatly appreciated!

I paid off my bill. They continued to take money out of my account and denied it. They told me they would send me an email proving that I paid my bill off so I can file a claim with my bank, they never did.

Edit: Today I got a call saying I owed all the money I ve already paid off. I sent them an email with evidence to the email the lady gave me, and their auto reply said not to send updates to said email???
This company is not honest or has horribly poor communication skills.

If i could give them 0 stars i would. The worst company i have EVER worked for. I was hired for one position & after 2 weeks of training was told that the position no longer exists. All they do is lie and sell dreams. Super unorganized. They are a waste of time & energy.

The ABSOLUTE worst customer service I have ever had. I called in trying to solve the issue, trying to pay my balance and they were SO RUDE, helpless and couldn t answer any of my questions. TERRIBLE! They didn t even give me a chance to spell out my name without rudely interrupting me. The rep kept talking over me, absolutely ridiculous.

I know debt collection is a racket, but if we re going to rate them relative to one another (which is how you should be rating any business in any industry), this one was pretty good compared to other debt collectors I ve talked to. The woman broke down where the debt was coming from, worked with me on what I could pay, and even set the first months collection a month out to make sure I had time to rework my budget. As far as people calling you to try and get money you shouldn t owe to a flawed medical system, these guys are alright.

I write this review in dispute of the largely negative ratings I saw for this agency when I first googled it for a point of contact--my experience was a positive one and to elaborate:

I got a call from an individual this morning who was polite and informed me a hospital debt had been placed with this agency and so after calling the hospital to verify I called back the agency directly to settle my bill.

Marquitta was the agent who took my call and she was courteous and professional in explaining the details and what to expect in terms of arrangement and timelines for settlement and closure of my debt in question with their agency and furthermore the timeline for the bill outstanding to settle at the hospital where it originated. Her patience and kindness went above and beyond what I had expected when I first called.

I also received confirmation email and verification numbers immediately while during our phone call and I conclude this agency is legitimate and beyond that efficient and well organized.

I got off the phone feeling better and so wanted to note here for anyone else who like me scouted the reviews first before conducting business with Hollis Cobb, that of the many exchanges with customer service departments over the years I've had this company's ranks as one of the best in my book.

These are the most dishonest people I have ever dealt with. The representative Angie has told me three bold face lies in order to try and get money collected from me. Turns out that two of the lies was that my insurance was denying payment for the procedure I had over 22 months ago (the hospital never sent the billing in). The third lie was that they couldn't send me the transcripts between them, the hospital and the insurance company and she couldn't do it because of hippa laws..... I was born at night but it wasn't last night.

PLEASE, do not give any personal information out to these people or anyone that calls you claiming to collect anything for outstanding debt.
I recieved a call about a hospital debt. I asked what the debt was for, they could not give me details. The bill was a large sum.
I told Jesse, the rep calling me, "that I wasn't paying the bill for services that were never rendered".
I called the facility that the supposed debt came from. Suddenly, I have no balance. Which I figured to be the case.
I received a call the next day from Jesse trying to collect for a bogus bill. I explained that I made a call and the issue has been resolved. His voice was definitely deflated after giving him the news. Jesse sounds like a descent person. Jesse needs to invest his talents in another company. This company (Hollis Cobb Associates) is NOT good.
If they are giving you vague answers when you ask questions, then you should be vague with your answers when they ask you personal questions.
