Holland Heating Review

I have a few complaints, the salesman was very nice, yet not fully informed how it all works. He told us it would be all set ready to run in a few days. It took a month. Reason being, he thought the permit was coming from township, it had to come from the state which takes longer. He was wrong on where it could be located, we pulled out a huge lilac bush for no reason. It couldn't go there because he didn't know it had to be 3ft from any wooden structure, also no trees on right of it because of exhaust. So we had to pull out 2 bushes in another location to have a place for it. He was wrong on size of gas line for the whole home generator, what we thought was going to be small hidden line, turns out large and sticks out like a sore thumb on the house. And he was here 3hrs, which was way too long.

We had a furnace and air conditioner installed on 6/1/2017. Job number was RA706018. Brad, Nevin and Andy were great and very professional. After the work was done, everything was tested to make sure the furnace and ac were working properly. A big thank You to Brad, Nevin and Andy.

Me and my husband was extremely pleased with the service we received from Holland Heating and Cooling.Starting with the initial inspection by the technician Jason Charles and then the installation of the new furnace by Jobe and Damon. They all did an excellant job and we do highly recommend them to anyone we know that needs Heating or cooling services.

Last December I was having a problem with my geo thermal heating unit. I called Holland Heating who had installed it back in 2011. They were so helpful right away! They got a technician who is very knowledgeable with geo units on the phone even though it was his day off and was able to stop the problem over the phone. We then set up to have him come over the next day to check on everything. The technician, Neil Castle, came over and worked on my geo unit while also assisting with helping me learn how to better maintain the unit. Neil went above and beyond with a typical service call! He is very knowledgeable and friendly! Two months later I had a follow up question and both Holland Heating and Neil were amazing at answering the question without making me feel stupid for a having to ask it. I highly recommend Holland Heating and I would ask for Neil as a technician!

I would like to thank TJ, Brad, Damon, Andy and EJ for a wonderful job! They were so professional throughout the whole 5 days it took to get a quote and installation of our furnace and AC. We were a little worried because we thought that we were going to have to take time off work to be here during the week but we didn't have to. They are very trustworthy workers and we are very please with how they did everything! Thank you for getting us all hooked up before it got too hot!

When my wife and I initially wanted to set up the appointment, we were amazed that the guys would come out on New Year's Eve. Justin and TJ showed up on time, were very efficient with that time, and stopped what they were doing to answer my questions. They didn't leave my house until all my questions were answered, their work area was cleaned up, and of course until the job was done right, to my standards. Great job guys! Rheem AC and Furnance installation for 1.10.2017. Installers TJ, Piper, and Nick put in a long day yesterday in replacement of my old system. Their manners were clean, precise, and always courteous even though they had to work through a crazy day of ice, snow, followed by rain. Certainly glad to have professionals oversee the process as it appears way beyond my DYI level and ability. More importantly they worked hard to integrate the new system to fit my house especially the basement area. Namely, the finished section of it never had a proper cold air return. They added one that looks great and functions well. A tremendous plus. All in all I rate this experience as positive and will recommend their service to my friends and family.

Todd & Nick from Holland Heating spent two 90 degree days installing our Mitsubishi heating/cooling system and they did it with the utmost professionalism. They were very friendly, helpful and hard working. Service was great and I would highly recommend Holland Heating for service/sales/installation.

Our A/C went out and we called Holland Heating after reading many great reviews. Pete and John V. we're the technicians..I can not say enough good things about those too hard working guys, they worked so hard in the hot humid weather we were having without complaining at all, they were both so friendly and after the job they cleaned up everything. Very impressed with Holland Heating and technicians Damon & Josh. Our original home furnace was replaced with a beautiful new furnace including a humidifier attachment now located in the correct position -- our old furnace humidifier had been installed incorrectly and we had rust damage. Damon & Josh were thorough and very neat. They brought everything up to code and walked us through how to care for our furnace -- even gave us helpful tips for our old water heater and air conditioner connections. Should we need maintenance or replace our old water heater we will be calling. Thank you!!!

Yesterday service agent Bart came and put in a new furnace for us. I found him both personable and professional. Having to work by himself, he did a fine job of removing the old furnace and putting in the new one. I was very happy with the job he did. He also made sure I knew how to set the thermostat for both schedule or set heating. He cleaned up after himself so well I didn't need to do any cleanup after he had left. I was very happy with both Bart and the job he did. I would very much recommend Holland Heating for your heating and cooling needs.

My only concern was the sales department omitting the fact I have fuel oil and they weren't prepared for that. Today I am waiting for a 'service tech' to complete the job. This is inconvenient, I had expressed this and I understand I am not the only customer. However I am a customer that doesn't have heat. Since I have prior commitments I do not have the time to wait.... 11am - 3pm

Called Saturday around noon for emergency service as our furnace wasn t turning on and getting cold in house with little kids in the house. Was told the on call tech would cal. Never called. Sunday house dropped down to 55 degrees and I put another call in and they advised that their on call tech would give me a call right back. Once again no call. Very disappointed.

Received (what I believe to be) a great bargain on a new central air unit on a Monday. Installation was complete by noon on that same Wednesday. Sales person and installation crew were very pleasant and professional.

RA906136 - Brad & Nevin did a great job for us on 6/13/2019. We were quite impressed with their professional manner, depth of knowledge, and speed of installation. We will not hesitate to refer anyone to Holland Heating for future needs. From sales quote to finished install was all a very nice experience.

Holland Heating & Cooling came out to do our yearly air conditioning unit service for 2015. The technician said everything looked ok but said our unit was too old (18 yrs) to add any additional R22 (freon) and that we would have to replace the whole unit if R22 was needed since it was "against the law" to put R22 into an a/c unit as old as ours. THEN 4 weeks later, the a/c went down 7/24/15. My health condition requires air conditioning, it is not a luxury, it is a necessity. I called Holland to come out and they said it would be a service call $109 plus any additional costs (after I had already paid them $259 for a yearly furnace/a-c Contract). I have discovered that Holland's technicians are paid a COMMISSION on anything they sell, therefore, it is my opinion that he wanted to sell us a NEW unit and not fix it.
THEN I called another Heating & Cooling company and they sent out a technician who PUT R22 into the unit and got it up and running again the same day at a very reasonable price.
As a senior citizen, I am appalled at the tactics that Holland Heating uses to get their techs to 'scare' people into buying equipment that could easily be repaired at a fraction of the cost. I will never do business with Holland again and I will also tell all my friends to steer clear of them. Buyer, beware.

Roger and Piper are top notch service techs. They installed my Navian high efficiency boiler. From the get go there where set backs (missing parts) etc. But these two guys worked as a team to fashion what we hope to be an amazing boiler. I know if I ever need anything these two will be there for our heating and cooling needs. Thanks to them my 2 month old son has heat for the winter. I cant thank them enough for what they have done for us. Thank you again Roger & Piper!! You guys are apart of my family now..

Todd and Roger were wonderful installers of the new furnace and AC unit. They were professional, personable and informative. We had an old system that required all new new venting to meet code. It was in the basement of a condo complex of 8 condos. None of the other furnaces were up to code. Ours is now the only system that meets code. It is high effeciency and it is wonderful to be so efficient and have a worry free system for years to come. It was also wonderful to deal with Gordon, the salesperson who was so personable and great with all the paperwork for the financing. He explained every aspect of the transaction. We would highly recommend Holland Heating and Colling for any HVAC work.

In January I had a baseboard boiler waterline burst in an upstairs bedroom. I NOW HAVE WATER DAMAGE TO ONE UPSTAIRS BEDROOM ..ALL THE HARDWOOD FLOORING, THE DINING ROOM BELOW THAT HAS TO HAVE A NEW CEILING AND INSULATION...THIS IS GOING TO RUN INTO THE THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS...!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The zone that was supposed to be shutdown was still getting water back fed into the lines because he didnt check to see which zone valve was feeding the upstairs zone!!!!!!!
ALSO Holland heating will NOT COME OUT IF U HAVE 2 OR MORE INCHES OF SNOW ON YOUR DRIVE WAY!!!!!!!!!!
REALLY...they dont equip their service vehicles with decent tires!
Even though they caused thousands of dollars worth of damage they wouldnt send a repair guy to fix the problem they caused untill the drive was plowed clean while my upstairs was flooding with water ...untill 4 days later!!!!!!!!!!!
The second service rep connected the 2wires to the correct zone valve and now I have a total disaster....Im 60 yrs old and on limited income...
IT ONLY TAKES ONE BAD REPAIR TO RUIN A BEAUTIFUL HOME

Chris is a great guy! Not only he did perform the motor and capacitor exchange on my furnace in no time, but explained every detail about the equipment and what happened along the way. As a plus, he even gave me with some tips about the tools he was using to perform the job. Exceptional service! Chris, you are the man!

Mike and James were very polite and explained what they would be doing. They did a wonderful and successful install. Cleaned up everything. Even down to wiping down stairway because of rain that day. Would recommend them to anybody.

Andy. Josh, Brad and Nevin Job# HD812143 12/14/18 Installed our new furnace and hot water heater. They showed up when they said they would, put drop cloths down on my floors and stairs, and cleaned up when the job was finished. We had a humidifier and better filter system put on, plus they had to bring our hot water heater pipes up to code. We feel much better about our system now that it is upgraded.
All they guys where professional and respectful. Plus they took the time to show me how all the new systems work before leaving.

We had a new furnace and A/C system installed in December 2016. The Holland Heating installation team out of Davison (Andy and Josh) were very professional and took extra care when removing the old system and bringing in the new equipment. They did a great job with the installation and when they were done they left the hose as clean as it was before they started. I highly recommend Holland Heating.

Wow, talk about the "A" team!! We received wonderful service from beginning to end. David Shane, Matt, Bob, Jake, and Brandon are the best. Job#RA711176 on 11-17-2017. Our 23 Year old furnace died on us and they were able to send David out the next day. The motor on the furnace was not functioning so we decided to go ahead and have Holland install a new furnace and air-conditioning system. Best decision ever! David took a lot of time explaining the process and wrote up the financing agreement for us. Matt and Bob arrived the second day to install the system. Half way through the installation, Jake and Brandon arrived. It was a huge job, and the 4 of them worked together to finish up. They were all professional, friendly, and knowledgeable. My furnace was out. I called Holland Heating and a serviceman was here in a timely fashion and my furnace was installed the next day. Billy and Dave A. did a great job. They explained things, worked quickly, cleaned up well, and even threw in a filter for good measure. Billy was my installer who was friendly and hardworking. Overall, it was a great job done.

Top notch service at Holland! Andy, Andy (yes 2 Andy's..lol) Nick and Howie were easy to work with and went above and beyond to help us out. They will be coming back to connect some ducts and connect a thermostat still yet, and I believe that will be a great experience also :)

I was approached at my local hardware store where I was asked if I would like a free estiment on installing a heating or A/C unit with no obligation, This usually means that when I say no after they are finished with thier estiment others continue to hound me.. Well Holland did not they were very kind and informed me on how old my system was and at what efficancy it was at in its current state and then informed me what system they had and at what effiancy they would run at. The gentlemen gave me three prices and never once pushed me towards the highest one and even let me call and talk to the wife to comfirm that what he quoted us was affordable to put in our monthly bills.. This alone sold me and I would use them no matter the decision I made,they would be contacted to do future service. On day of install Damon and Andy were very pollite and addressed everything they were going to be doing before they even started. They were extremely quite considering the work they were doing.. I would highly recommend these guys to anyone looking fpr heating and cooling needs.. They even updated my water heaters ventilation free of charge..

Within 30 Minutes Jeff Lee had gone through not one but two completely different systems with me covering everything from warranties to installation. EXTREMELY knowledgeable in all areas, EXTREMELY quick turnaround in regards to contact as well as facilitating the installation of the unit even though I am currently deployed. Called other companies before Holland and got the best deal right here! It was an absolute pleasure dealing with Jeff and the crew at Holland. I will be unquestionably referring anyone to Holland as they have demonstrated and displayed the highest standards a company could hold all while giving the best deal! Keep up the great work guys!

On 11-20-20 Jason Charles (#Job - 19792647) came to our home to repair or furness which the burners would quit working during a cycle. He not only located it, which wasn't an actual replacement of a part, but how the installers actually plumbed the exhaust and fresh air return which created back pressure in unit (ie burst ignition). Thanks Jason for a GREAT JOB not giving up until the correct solution was found. This is why I always go with Holland Heating!!

The guys were great! My furnace died unexpectedly and they were able to replace a furnace in 3 days. TJ was my technician and he was great as well. He didn't rush the install and made sure we were well taken care of. I would highly recommend Holland Heating to anyone.

I would highly recommend this company and the technicians that came and installed the AC and generator. The salesperson, Jeff Lee, was very knowledgeable and no pressure in his approach, not overselling at all. We purchased an AC and whole house generator which were installed in two days. The technicians, Todd, Brandon and Aaron were absolutely amazing and a true pleasure having them do the install. From the moment they arrived until the job was done, they were exceptionally friendly, clear when giving updates on their work and left not one trace that they had been there two days. All of them were clearly knowledgeable and had many years of experience between them. I haven't had that level of workmanship in years and consider it a definite rarity. I could go on and on but the jist of it is, this is the best experience we have ever had with a heating and cooling company and we came in quite skeptical. Again, we would highly recommend this company!

In home estimate- John i feel gave us a good deal on the amount of work that needed to be done and honored all the perks that Cheryl had mentioned to us the previous day.
Installation- Andy and Andy, couldn't have asked for better guys. They worked 2 days straight. They took that time to make sure everything was done correctly. They were pleasant to be around as well. Thank you both for being awesome and knowledgeable in your profession.

We had a new furnace and air conditioner installed yesterday (8/15/18).
Our technicians, Cliff and Mike, were very professional. They arrived on time, covered up the carpeted stairs leading to the basement, and when done, cleaned up very well. They were knowledgeable about the installation process and answered questions of concern by the homeowners. Job #808154 is complete with our satisfaction.

I would like to share my experience of having a new furnace installed by Damon and Erik of Holland Heating in March of 2014, these guys did the job in such a smooth way we could barely tell the heat had been interrupted everything was done in a professional way from putting walkway protection down as the moved the equipment in to reviewing the install at he end, I'm very happy with the job they did.

Holland Heating came back on 12/10/2018 to change out plumbing and run new gas lines as needed. Work order HD812042. Bobby and JR performed the plumbing, Aaron and Jeff run the gas lines. All four workers were exceptional and took pride in their workmanship. At the end of the job they cleaned up and made sure we were pleased with their work. In addition Randy the sales representative was a pleasure to work with. Moving back to MI it's good to know a company like Holland Heating and recommend them to anyone.

Tony DiGenova did a great job. He was friendly, courteous, and efficient. He explained the work that he was going to do and answered any questions that I had. He displayed the kind of professionalism that we have always experienced whenever we call Holland Heating.

Yesterday, EJ &Aaron installed my new furnace, they did a good job.

My experience started out with Doug patiently explaining all the details of the furnaces and air conditioners to me. He was great. then Dave came and added a great touch of know how to the mix. He was very friendly and a pleasure to deal with. When Todd and Andy arrived at my house with my new purchases I was impressed and pleased.. They were friendly and got right to work. It was a long day but they kept at it. they answered all my questions and cleaned up very well after they were done. If I say that I a door Andy he will know what I mean. It is an inside joke. They were all very pleasant to work with and I have and will continue to recommend them.

Andy and Mike installed my new furnace and ac. They were on time knowledgable efficient and friendly. They explained everything very clearly and cleaned up when the job was done.
