Could have been cleaner but the registration staff was on top of things.

Everyone was wonderful, for the National Impala Meet. Room was clean, and very comfortable. Felt like home away from home. Kudos!

Great hotel, very friendly staff, and excellent pool/event area. Only complaint is that there is no continental breakfast.

Double Queen rooms are small,and they don't serve breakfast.

The convention center was well appointed, the staff was professional and courteous. Was an extremely pleasant experience for an otherwise dull conference.

The staff was very courteous. The room was very nice and clean. The bed was very comfortable.

This place is still preoccupied with 1985. Very much a maze and lacks signs so when you do get lost, you have a hard time dinding your way around. No free breakfast which is not the norm for IHG hotels. Pool was great though!

Very friendly and helpful gal at the front desk. Room was clean and comfortable with a surprisingly low price. Liked that our room was right around the corner from the front desk and they let us park our motorcycles under the canopy. Having a bar/ restaurant on the property is important to me when traveling on bikes.

Great Customer Service and comfortable bed and Great food at onsite restaurant

Was just ok. We spent about 5 nights here randomly throughout our vacation. One room would be clean but have a clogged shower, a different room would have feces literally rubbed above the toilet paper holder, while another, the air conditioner did not work and we were sweating all night. But we always stay in holiday expresses so we would continue to drive back to spearfish hoping for a nice room.

Reasonable prices, convenient resources and good food.

Kids eat free on Sundays. Decent food with generous portions but was busy so food was a bit slow arriving. Free popcorn and colors kept the kids we were with happy!

OK I give it three stars because the staff was great. I did use the washing machine and water leaked everywhere. A man was mopping it while another walked up with me. I felt bad and they laughed with Me. Lady at check out in the morning went above and beyond. My boyfriend dumped me and brought all my clothes he had at his house into the lobby. He dramatically gave them to the front desk. They kept me as unlisted so when he called my name didn't show on their system. The lady at check out found Me a box and I was in a huge stressful moment finding all my stuff and locked my key in my room
She could multi task like crazy while on the phone. Defiantly meant for her job.

Huge convention center and wedding center. We were gonna rent it but ended up being too far out from our town. Great sales staff. Very clean place and they will do everything to make you happy.

Room was okay. Doorway into the room was NOT wide enough. No breakfast served and their grab bags that they were offering are suitable for kids... not adults.

Got a pet friendly room. Rooms floors were recently cleaned and still very damp. Thus everything in the room was also damp. Including the bedding. Never staying here again.

Clean, decent pool, hot tubs need updating, good service, good restaurant attached, bad wifi signal but that is common in the entire area. I think they allow dogs on main floor. The queen beds are actually fulls which is the reason I marked them down.

Good service and was easy to make reservations over the phone on advance and also update those reservations. Rooms are clean and up to date. Had a coffee maker, microwave, desk, and plenty of plug ins. Beds were very comfortable.

Doesn't get a star at all.. AC didn't work in both our rooms... They knew there was a problem because that was what they were fixing when we checked in.. couldn't check in after a 10 hour drive... No notice of delay. No compensation for any of it. Shuttle was another disappointed moment... We scheduled a shuttle to the wedding.. to be picked up at 4:00 for 4:30 wedding.. as we got to lobby at 3:55. The shuttle was leaving.. wouldn't be back till 4:25. . So we had no alternative but to drive our huge motor home to the wedding... What a disaster... No way would I stay there ..

This is an interesting building. It looks like it was an old open, expansive motel that they've enclosed. What was an outdoor pool is now a covered, indoor pool. What used to be outdoor balconies are indoor balconies.
My party shared a 2 queen bed room. The room was clean and the beds were comfortable. Each bed had 4 pillows; 2 soft, 2 hard pillows with embroidery identifying them. Nice! Shower and toilet are separate from the sink.
There is a pub/restaurant adjacent to the motel. Convenient!
Heads Up: there are several motels to chose from in a close proximity. We like motels that serve a hot, buffet breakfast in the morning. Before booking we asked if they had breakfast. The clerk said they did. But, they dont! You get a $10 voucher for 2 people for the pub/restaurant. (2 vouchers) We had 3 people! And $10 didn't cover the cost of a breakfast with coffee and juice, etc. We would have chose a hotel that offered a hot breakfast if the $10 voucher system been explained correctly.

I love the large pool!! The pool area is my favorite thing about this hotel. Very open and there are games and plenty of space surrounding the pool. There is a hot tub as well and the pool is up to 9 feet deep!!

Sang in a room in the convention center, very clean.

Service was very friendly and accommodating to what we needed. Food was wonderful.

First time I had only 1 coffee cup and only 2 coffee makings. Been coming here almost 40 years! Hot water was slow

Work conference in one of the convention rooms. Staff prepared and cleaned up for a meal. Very good food and very good service, I have no complaints.

We had a great stay here and btw there is an applebees next door and an auto zone. The bar is great and the staff is great. We had a good stay here and experienced no issues.

I had a lunch at the convention center restaurant and it was fantastic. The place wasn't crowded on that Friday afternoon, and the food was prepared with a shorter wait time than I was expecting. We also had fresh popcorn to eat while we waited on our food. The service was quick and friendly, and we left satisfied. I plan on going back some time soon.

Not following company policy. They have signs posted everywhere about employees are supposed to be wearing masks and guests as well when in public areas. None of the employees were following this with the exception of one wearing it under his chin. Maybe like a few guests following it. If a company is going to have a company policy and have it posted everywhere to keep people safe, they should follow it. Don't post it if you aren't going to follow it and we would have stayed elsewhere.

Booked 1 rm for 1 night. Upon checking in the clerk says I have 2 rooms reserved (Wrong). He tells me its booking.com's fault and they cant cancel the other room. I then ask about breakfast. He says they dont have free breakfast. I unload in my rm, then take my confirmation email to the clerk. It stated "1 rm 1 night" . Again, they cant amend a mistake at their own property. I then show him where it states that breakfast is included in the price. He says "Oh yeah, thats my fault". Pool was too cold to use. When I arrived home the next day I checked my credit card statement......they billed me for 3 rooms! Hotey was very dated for the price and this guarantees I will NEVER, stay at any Holiday Inn again

Only one person at desk for check in on a Friday night. She was very nice but there were a lot of people in line.
Room smells like mold. Food on the floor. Black hairs in the shower from last guest. Hotel was remodeled but it's clear they didn't fix the issues this place has had with water. The beds are very uncomfortable. Really disappointed with this hotel.

Room was wierd, window into the hall, view of a vending machine. Maid service spotty, at best, we stayed for four days and only got our room cleaned two of them. There was a request for room service breakfast card we hung on the door which was still hanging the next day, no breakfast. Very disappointed in our stay. They got one star because the app makes you

Great location off of the interstate. Rooms are modern and clean, bathrooms are a little out of date. Staff has been friendly and accommodating. Will stay again.

I have been staying in motels for 40 years and I have never been to a motel where the staff worked harder to make your experience an absolute joy. The airline lost my luggage and I called to let them know I was going to be late. I got there and they had a gift bag with everything one who had lost their suitcase would need including a gift card for a couple of drinks and dinner for two in the restaurant. In the morning I went to the front desk to find out about my suitcase and the desk man got me a hot cup of coffee for my ride to the . The rooms are very large well equipped and clean as a whistle. I would recommend this motel and this part of the country to anyone that wants to experience how real people treat each other. South Dakota and the people there still know what it means to treat your neighbor as you would like to be treated. Thank you for your hospitality .

You know, the pool being closed is always a big negative, but the customer service was good, rooms were neat, beds were comfortable, and access to running routes was good. Their fitness room is no good, but since i didnt use it, I will cut them some slack on account of the good service and give them a 4.

Attended an event at the convention center. It provided an adequate meeting space and was somewhat conveniently located. Didn't have any interaction with staff or need any services.

I stayed briefly, but the room was clean and the beds were nice. The bathroom was a bit cramped, the TV wasn't that great. But I don't stay at a hotel to watch tv. There is an amazing restaurant/bar on site and why I am coming back to HI next time I'm in spearfish.

Professional service, with clean, up to date rooms. The stay was relaxing, trouble free, and quite enjoyable. Staff was helpful, and friendly. Definitely recommended.

Didn't have an information book in the room, couldn't get the wifi to connect for a long time, then when it did it wasn't a great connection

Very comfortable, good sized rooms and bathroom. They have an indoor pool and game area that is nice. Two separate hot tub enclosures are in that area and semi-private. Kids are supposed to not go into hot tubs but they do, so you might have to shoo them off.

The room that we got for our Christmas party was prefect and the staff were nice

I reserved a poolside room a week before I needed it. I told the gal on the phone it was for a birthday party. She said that wouldn't be a problem. When I arrived to get the keys there were multiple parties happening poolside. (Which woupd have been nice to have been told about, due to the fact that they were college grads. And somewhat rowdy. Which is fine,, but hard to have an 8 years old party there too)When the front desk was asked for
1 -2 table and a few chairs, I was informed there wasn't any more to use and that I needed to find my own solution.
Information would have been nice in this situtaion.

After reviewing my bank account I noticed that they took additional fees out and said that they would refund it. And I did bookwithhotels.com. After staying here I would check your banking account.

Not in good shape and is a maze to get around in. One elevator in a convention center, really!!!!

It's been updated but you can still tell it's not the newest kid on the block. Not bad place overall.

Room service could be better. My room was missed completely once, barely stocked once, and only cleaned once out of a 6 day stay.

CONSTANCE saved the day when we had a fail with a different hotel in town! We are extended stayers, waiting to close on our home after moving across state lines. Constance has gone above and beyond several times.. always a pleasant happy smile. She said she doesn't normally work the front desk, but you'd never even know it because she is so great. If you're planning an event in the Spearfish area, she normally works in banquets and I'm sure is just as, if not more so, BOMB DIGGITY at that too! Great place, people, rooms, everything. THANK YOU!!!

Booked a pool room 2 weeks in advance and paid 30 dollars more then people booking the day of. There people at the desk need more training to inform people on the phone that the breakfast needs to be added to bill. If you wish to eat before you leave.(at least inform the customer of that) Did I mention that they had booked room with breakfast 30 dollars cheaper the day of. What a joke.

Nice hotel. Confusing floor plan. Hotel restaurant was slow as molasses.

We were definitely not impressed and will not come back. The beds were horribly hard, woke with a total body ache. The a/c unit made a horrible noise all night.
There is 2 hot tubs but when you just want to relax in one and can't that's a big problem. The hotel allowed a kids birthday party that went on well past 9pm, made it very hard to just relax when they are splashing everywhere, being super loud and not letting you just enjoy the hot water. The restaurant had very poor service here as well. Will book a different hotel in the future

Loved the room. We didn't get the 1 King bed that we originally booked but the standard 2 queen room was very comfortable! No continental breakfast which was fine since there is a restaurant on site but it's a little pricy. Our only complaint was the shower. It leaked like crazy down the wall and into the entry area where the sink was. We just cleaned it up with towels and it was fine. We will definitely stay again.

Stayed here for 3 days of conventions. Bed was super comfy, heating/cooling unit worked well, place was clean. The only bad thing, was that there were 3 drawers in the TV stand/dresser unit, and the top 2 wouldn't stay shut and kept rolling open. Not a big deal since I was the only one staying in the room, but should definitely be fixed if you have multiple people staying.

The carpets are completely disgusting
I don t know how any 1 could stay here whit the prices for the shape of this hotel the room was really disgusting and smelled like spoiled milk my kids slept whit there shoes on and all the manager did was deduct $20 I would recommend to stay away my brother also had a room across the way and also the same shape dirty and smelly GROSS there s plenty of hotels nearby for the same rate that are nice rooms I found out the hard way
