Dated and nothing special.
Fairly average hotel
Dated and nothing special.
Brilliant - Breakfast , room view (if you are lucky) and staff
A busy place but very convenient location. Little oldish feel for rooms and corridors.
Slightly above average hotel. Maintenance needs to improve.
The building is amazing and in a great location, the rooms are comfortable but getting a little dated
Quiet area. Close to the central area just by a few tube stops. Rooms are decent
Food provided throughout the day was good. Rooms were clean and did the job.
Service has been fine but there is fairly extensive construction going on. My greatest complaints are the hardness of the bed, and the inability to change the room temperature, which are just personal preferences. This hotel is within walking distance of the Piccadilly line Gloucester road stop, as well as Starbucks and Tesco.
Great location and good value for the amenities and area.
Clean rooms, friendly service and great location. Very close to the tube station
Great for business travel, a little rundown in some of the hallway spaces.
Excellent staff, service and conference facilities.
The tavern pub there is excellent for food and Sport will visit and stay again.
Forum restaurant the best breakfast experience really good and helpful staff great hotel experience
Plenty of noise coming from the streets and price level is expensive considerinng that this place does not provide much of comfortabilities. Location is excellent.
A busy but conveniently located hotel, not far from central London and a quick access to Heathrow airport
Kid stay and eat for free. 3 mins walk to Gloucester Road tube station. Plenty of restaurants around the station. Tesco Express, Waitrose and Sainsbury's is just around the corner.
Top notch hotel for the price. Outstanding buffet breakfast. Comfortable and well-appointed.
Very good. Very large and organized hotel. Well located. Breakfast good.
Great location, superb staff, showers in the loo need to be more powerful.
It's a fantastic place to stay with free Wi-Fi, excellent food, service, spa etc.
Excellent hotel, rooms a little retro, very kind staff, excellent breakfast too
Used the parking facilities to visit the Science Museum and Natural History Museum. Great value, super convenient and the staff were fantastic, even offering to help us load up our buggy and bags.
Would score more if less expensive but guess the location is a big contributing factor for the price
Good service as you'd expect, but the room was tiny, clean but tiny.
We stayed here before we got on a cruise.
Amazing staff, clean comfortable rooms.
The bed was a bit too stiff for our tastes but others love a firm mattress.
1 block from the Tube station, less for the bus.
Get the Oyster card on day one and use Google Maps, and you can get anywhere in short order.
Big and crowded hotel, great location and great staff.
I stayed at this hotel when visiting London for the Eagles-Jaguars game at the end of October 2018. The location is incredibly convenient to the tube station (it's about a 3-minute walk). There's also a Tesco Express that's a 2-3 minute walking distance when you need basics like juice or a sandwich or something. As for the hotel itself - it is average. There's nothing extraordinary about this location. The rooms are about the size of the average hotel room you'd expect in the city. Some of the decor could be updated, but at the same time nothing was falling apart in my room. I didn't like the fact that I couldn't control the temperature in my room (the hotel controls it via a master unit during the cooler months - I asked). The tavern downstairs is okay but was always crowded when I visited - and they appeared to have some serious issues there with getting people's food orders out on-time (I never ate there but the food looked pretty standard). In general I don't have anything incredible or derogatory to say about this hotel. If you're looking for a convenient hotel with a comfortable bed this is a good bet.
Very well located but the staff is deplorable and room service is no great shakes...most of the staff is rude
Looks nice as you check in but the rooms don't look like they have been decorated in 30 years. Carpet didn't look like I wanted to walk on it after coming out of the shower
Great location, everything was lovely except the room...small, bed was awful, not level, hard as a rock and terrible pillows. Good English Breakfast and good service. Won't stay there again though.
Price / performance OK.
Good location. Top Metro connection, only 3 minutes walk to the hotel.
Breakfast was sufficient and at the price there was nothing better elsewhere.
Awefully rude staff. Won't say again, a massive drop in standard compared to customer service from other Holiday Inns. Sack the manager. Cancelling my IHG after 10 years as a result. Hilton here i come!
Hotel. Clean rooms are not very big, but bearable. In the bathroom there is a bathtub, a wardrobe, a fridge with a bar, a dryer. Very well connected, because in the distance of 100 m from Piccadlily subway. Close to the Natural History Museum, Victoria and Albert and Science. Ok. 1 km to Hyde Park, less demanding at KFC, Burger King and pub.
Friendly and relaxed atmosphere, food was really Good. Disco excellent.
Will surely come again
Clean and everything you'd expect from a Holiday inn. Great breakfast!
Spotless and bright. Staff all helpful and informative. Room is comfortable and warm. Fridge in room (now stocked).
Close to tube station and easy access to the sights of the City.
Highly recommended!
Attended conference nice hotel. Better than other holiday inn venues. Nice general lounge area. Conciege very helpful and staff friendly.
It's neither good nor bad. It's an American hotel. The dining room in the morning is always crowded. The advantage is that the station is close and you can check out immediately. The price was a little high. The view from the window. It was a room on the 11th floor.
small rooms and expensive, Par for the course in london I think. Can't fault the food and breakfast, Spot on :)
Stayed at the top floor
Water pressure is slow and the roo. Is quite tiny to say the least
Hotel very good, just the quilt a little too small, breakfast very well too
It was a wonderful experience, the service was fantastic and the music entertainment was exciting and joyful.
Very good, shame in our room not having a bath, for the European winter is much lacking.
Small room but comfortable. Very helpful staff. Hotel location is only 2 minutes from tube station.
All amazing, from breakfast to the staff, the rooms are clean and well supplied.
Very friendly staff very clean breakfast was amazing
Room very small and need to give more attention to the way they clean the room.
I stay 4 nights and the last night stay the housekeeping didn't the clean room at all except change the towel.
Reception team not professional. They answer my question like I never stay in a 4 stars hotel before while I am a gold elite member.
Concierge the only good team that I appreciated so much .
Location is great. Lots of halaal restaurants within walking distance as well as supermarkets and coffee shops. The tube or underground metro is also within walking distance. In general it's a very 'pretty' side of London.
Nice hotel clean rooms friendly staff will stay again
It's not too bad. The accessible bedroom is quite good - has a tracking hoist. They have a policy of free carers' rooms for disabled people, though a lot of staff aren't aware of this. Breakfast is excellent. The view from the top floor of the hotel is also excellent, worth seeking out, though one has to be up for the not-very-salubrious surroundings of the fire escape! A long walk from the nearest wheelchair accessible tube station (Earls Court). Concierge exceptionally friendly and helpful.
very poor hotel...realy need update...toilet is stuck...not clean enough...furniture very old
and damage, breakfast ok but cheap quality food...Looks like a student rooms, very small, 1 night for 122 pounds without breakfast it's a fortune for this hotel. I know, is London, but doesn't worth the money at all.
This is an older version of HI's and is due an upgrade to bring it in line with the other IHG brands. As a result its cheap for hotels in central London. The closest tube is Gloucester Square at which the trains a full at rush hour. Food in the tavern is reasonable. Good access to all things around Kensington.
Stayed open for NHS staff at crucial time. Friendly staff. Decent rooms although a refurb wouldn't go a miss.
Very nice hotel very clean and seems friendly place to lay your head
Nice hotel in a good location! Very clean, and friendly staff. The bar is good with good food selection and their breakfast is great!
Nice but expensive hotel in London location is super
The service from the staff is good. Location is good. Thanks.
Good place to stay, very close to the tube station.
Hotel very well served, clean and adequate service. Recommended
The outside of this Holiday Inn is pretty dull and old as the one in Bloomsbury. But they did a decent job of refurbishing and modernising the business lounge, meeting rooms and common areas (retro-modern with Good ole Britain vintage decoration). I dont know about the bedrooms though...
