Holiday Inn Express Bali Kuta Square Review

The reception staff must be one of the most friendly one I have met among the IHG hotels. Have made me feel super welcomed.

The room itself is ok, a little on the small side but it's acceptable. Room is clean and bed is comfortable. I'm a little surprise they don't provide bottle shower gel/shampoo but instead use dispenser. Not a big issue for me since I usually bring my own shower gel/shampoo.

Location was near airport and the nice kuta beach. Many eateries around too, very convenient to walk around.

Staff nice n helpful, facility is okay, roof top pool is good, hotel have quite very limited service very less than expected from regular express

We spent our first 4 nights on Bali at Holiday Inn Express Baruna Bali.
It was located almost right on the beach, with just another Holiday Inn between Express and the beach walk.
The room had USB ports for charging, which is always a nice feature. Bathroom and the bedroom were both clean and nice. Beds were really comfortable, even for my achey lower back. Not a whole lot of space to put suitcases but that's about the only non 5-star rating we gave.
The breakfast had both western style (continental) breakfast and a variety of asian food options such as friend rice or fried noodles, which my husband loved.
The pool area was never busy so I always got a lounge chair.
We'll definitely stay here again if (when) returning to Bali.

The location is amazing with the beach right behind and lots of shops nearby.

Affordable, very clean and quiet, good location,great rooftop bar,pool, sumptous breakfast, courteos staff but needs a restaurant.

Nice budget hotel, close to airport and very convenient

My first time in Bali and the front desk staff has been beyond helpful. Super friendly and always willing to help out with a phone call or grabbing rides around the island. Clean space and pretty rooftop pool included!

Old Property, views are not very great from the room,
They dont supply free water or normal water, they will invoice you IDR 50,000 for a small 300 ml water bottle.
Breakfast options are limited but it is delectable. Ro Service is swift.
The location of this property is very good, they have variety of 24*7 stores in the vicinity.
The street becomes peaceful after 9 and staff here is very courteous & good to talk to.

Nice hotel. We got two rooms for us and the kids. Fridge, kettle, coffee, tea and bottled water. Breakfast: omelette, scrambled eggs, fried, cereal, rice noodles, sausages - generally ok. I would forget about fruit and nutella for kids. The best option is the rooftop pool. It was hard to get the kids to explore Bali. You could order fries (30,000) and beer (33,000) so great for me. We were in the rainy season in February but luckily it only rained twice. (quite close to the airport, fortunately it wasn't a problem).

It's kind and downtown, but it's on the edge. It's so quiet and I can sleep well.

Good services, cozy,very clean,cheap,near Jerman beach, nice view swim pool but laundry must buy coin, bath tools must order/call to housekeeping (not efficient)

Please help the security guards to teach politely to guests ... especially those who are on duty tonight

Love the location as it is in close proximity to the airport and obviously the beach is at your doorstep. The staff is super friendly and the amenities cover the entire checklist. From dining to drinking to the spa treatment, this is definitely a great place to spend time in bali. The junior is obviously my choice pick for rooms. The only negative is the cost of the confectionery items and the gym is a tad on the small side but the can get you by in a jam. Great place to stay.

The room is clean, the staffs are really friendly. Their hotel is near to Pantai Jerman, perfect for a short-term staying while having a business trip. In case you run out of time catching your flight, you can walk for 5 minutes to the beach to relieve the your stress.
The hotel located 10 minutes to the airport!

Worst experience even without staying there,
I had to cancel my reservation due to some personal reason,
but I was charged for entire trip.
When I clicked on cancel reservation there was no disclaimer stating that there will be no refund and if I want to reconsider(which most websites have)
Tried reaching out to hotel( through number given on their site) but it was not reachable
On calling the hot line lady didn t help at all and help the call on hold for more that half an hour ,
They completely spoilt my trip
Won t recommend to anyone.

The hotel is pretty good too, it's in a bustling location, the Kuta Bali area. Come here during the Eid holidays so that visitors are quite full and parking is also very crowded. Service at CS is very good and friendly, getting into the room is also clean. There are 2 swimming pools, namely for children and adults. The food is not too many variants but it tastes pretty good

Regular, simple ... pretty comfortable affordable price, breakfast too. The above pool is the same as a child "I have to watch my parents because it is rather deep ... there is no pool for children" ... the bottom parking is narrow and stuffy ...

So much better than expected for a 3star hotel. The staffs were kind, the room clean and spacious. Close to the airport, close to the beach, so many gopd fod places nearby. No complains really.

It's a good clean hotel very close to the airport. Breakfast is a big of a letdown

I arrived late at night and needed a place to stay overnight. It's very close to the airport, 10-15 minutes by car. The staff was very friendly but breakfast was a lot of abode and my mother woke up at dawn due to the roar of chickens around me ^^;

Quite good..neat and clean..supportive staff..near to beach..you can enjoy with swimming pool in terrace.. airport is also nearby.

Cheap breakfast, can hear noise from other rooms clearly, beds uncomfortable. No restaurant on site. Not child friendly. "Express" is definitely an express feeling and the decor is like you are at a pool. Doesn't feel like bali. The only good thing is the roof top pool with amazing views but again no restaurant.

Good stay & Value for money

We stayed in this hotel as our last day of holiday in Bali last week and
apparently this one has got our attention.
We love that the location is right close to Bali airport and other amenities as well.
We didn't expect much but surprised with the nice hospitality of FO staff.
The thing we didn't like was the bell boy? when we arrived - a bit quiet and not being friendly as others have reviewed before.
Parking area was damn bad smelly (OMG, What have been done to clean that up?)
- Swimming pool is good and has a nice view to the beach -
The room was very clean, fairly contained and have couples of International power points!
The air-con was good and Internet was very fast .
Free breakfast was standard and nothing was exceptional!
Overall we enjoyed it and cannot say much for those with low budget.

Can t be worse. My first non-5stars review.
1. No bathing towel after room service and I had to call the reception(wet and cold) and waited for 15 mins.
2. Ordered 1 drink in the roof bar and checked under my room#. Someone then called me 3 times asking me to pay immediately cus I didn t pay deposit when I check in. Come on!
3. Was told not accept Alipay when it says Alipay accepted on the poster next to the reception.

Considering the price would definitely not recommend at all!

Swimming pool themed lobby. Happy hour cocktails around the pool. Breakfast is a real disappointment. Close to airport, lots of Arline staff stay here.

The view from the infinity pool at the top is awesome.

Rooms are very small.. hotel staff is not at all welcoming... Everything is self service.. No room service or staff available to carry ur luggage which I think is very stupid.. there are much better budget hotels around.. not recommended..

Location was top notch. Rooms were very small and breakfast was not up to the mark. We mistakenly booked this hotel we wanted to book the Holiday inn baruna not express which is alongside this hotel . Anyways Bali is great so it compensates with hotel .

Located in Kuta, close to the airport. Rooms are clean and good but good value for money

Self Service Laundry, if you want comb, saver, or toothpaste and brush its must to request.

This is my 2nd visit to the hotel with my family and the experience remains memorable. Ibu Tari in Sales who was communicating with my husband very helpful and accommodating. Our request for connecting rooms was hassle free. We had a minor issue during dinner on Nyepi day but was rectified and one of the team member approached us on the following day during breakfast. She was very apologetic and offered some additional food from the menu. Really appreciated it.
As there is always room for improvement, i would say
1. Housekeeping should pay more attention to floor area especially below the glass window curtain as we found some dust.

2. Staff on the dinner should have listened more and don't interrupt guest while speaking so that she understands well rather than making assumption. When i told her that my son couldn't come to dinner due to not feeling well and wanted to have a dinner box to bring to room, the hostess said we could not do that. My son must come to the dinner himself. It is not making any sense to me as I've told her already that my son wasn't well. At the end the senior staff allowed us but no apology on that stage. Another thing was that we expected to take the food ourselves for our son since it was a buffet but surprisingly the staff did it themselves put the food in the box without asking us. Weird!

Apart from the above issue, we enjoyed the stay and will return.

The room was clean and good maintenance. The manager was sleeping in duty hours. We just captured not to post. He fought with us to delete it. His attitide was worse. He even checked the phone after deleting.

Good place to stay with family it's very near to kuta beach and has beautiful beach view from the terrace pool

The hotel to cleanliness and ambience is great, the staff are very helpful and polite. The breakfast options could be better and improved considering that is the only meal being served.

Security team needs some improvement for better services

A hotel by the sea but does not have its own beach. It is very difficult to find a swimming pool in Bali. Terrace pool available. Side hotel also has a large pool, you can use there. About breakfast, we got an over-average breakfast at the ballet, ate omelettes every day. The rooms are a bit small but clean. Cleaning is the most important criterion. Walking distance to the center, very close to the airport. In the surrounding area, you can find food for yourself in the mall.
