Had such a wonderful getaway with Frontier Log Cabins. The owners were very friendly, the cabin was extremely clean and comfortable. It is secluded in the woods on their property, and their other cabins are close by (but not close enough for you to notice they're there). With a full kitchen and charcoal grill, we could do all of our cooking in the cabin and we didn't have to leave the Hocking area to mingle with society (which is exactly what we wanted). Had a wonderful time hiking around Hocking during the day, then relaxing in the hot tub and by the fireplace at night in our cabin. Couldn't have asked for better.

If you need to just get away from LIFE for a moment in time. This is the place to go, the beauty of nature and the quiet.................. We enjoyed a Cowboy weekend horse back riding trip that lasted (4) hours with a great lunch cooked at the Spotted Horse Ranch along with a couples Massage at our cabin. You will not want to leave, once you get here. : ) ENJOY

We stayed in the Green Cabin for a Thanksgiving away from it all. It was a fantastic and relaxing weekend. The cabin had everything we needed - we cooked a whole thanksgiving meal here. It was quite and secluded and Mike was very friendly and helpful.

The cabin we stayed in was clean and very quaint. The hot tub was very nice and clean. It was located very conveniently to hiking and other tourist attractions. We enjoyed a very relaxing quiet stay.

This is my favorite place to stay when in the Hocking Hills area. Rustic style cabins with all the comforts of home and a hot tub after a long day of hiking. This place is so lovely and there is a path back to a pond through a hand planted forest of 20,000 white pines.

Very clean. Very courteous, helpful owners. Beautiful, quiet location with hiking on the premises and great hiking within driving distance. Quaint and cozy. Hot tub worked great. DVDs provided. Enjoyed the front porch!

My husband and I have been visiting Frontier Log Cabins for 19 years now. (It's hard to believe!) We were actually married at the red cabin 18 years ago. We visit probably 3 or 4 times a year. There is NOTHING like Frontier Log Cabins. Teresa and Mike are amazing. The cabins are spotless. And the smell of the pine, when you get out of the car. . . Mmmmmm. The cabins are situated in a pine forest! How cool is that? We love to walk the trail in the mornings. Not only is it a great workout, when you do the loop, but it is so beautiful and peaceful. If you stay in the red, green or blue cabins you will not be disappointed. I'll guarantee that! (I haven't stayed in the others as I am hooked on the pine forest.) I love staying at these cabins so much that I cry every time I have to come home. True story.

Well, if you will excuse me. . . I think I'm going to make a reservation now. :)

My wife and I stayed at the Hitching post in celebration of our 3 year anniversary. The cabin was VERY clean and spacious. We were very impressed with the fact that everything you need to cook with and eat with is already there. The gas grill and the hot tub were also big bonuses.

My husband and I love getting away from the hustle and bustle of our every day lives by going to Hocking Hills. When we decided it was time again to get away, I did a search online, and frontier cabins came up as an option. When I clicked on the website, I was pleased to find a virtual tour option of the cabins. After viewing the cabins that were available for rent, I booked the Hitchin' Post. We were so happy to discover that the cabin was just as wonderful as the virtual tour showed. The cabin was recently built, so it was very clean and very nice. The fire pit was great, as was the hot tub. The fact that it had its own trail leading to a stocked pond was also a wonderful detail. The cabins were nicely spaced, very quiet, and relatively secluded. We will definitely book with Frontier again.

My husband and I revisited the Hitching Post for our anniversary. (Honeymoon #2) We were pleased beyond expression!!! Everything was again, PERFECT! I cried in awe when I entered and the lights were dim. Chocolates arranged in a heart and flowers! Wow!! Thank You!!

My wife and I stayed here for 3 days and 2 nights. It was extremely clean and comfortable. The surroundings were beautiful and serene. The hot tub worked great. We will definitely be returning again and we would recommend Frontier Log Cabins to our friends.

My wife and I stayed in the green cabin for the weekend and had a really nice stay. It felt comfortable and private. Very nice gas fireplace,comfortable bed etc. Town want too far away to pick up a few groceries. The owner was very helpful and quick to respond to any of my needs. All around a good experience.

We looked at other sites and organizations who offer rental accommodation similar to Frontier Cabins. However, we really were 1st impressed by the video of our cabin we selected. The video of all three cabins was well made and presented an overall snap shot of what we could expect. When we arrived, we were not disappointed and there were no surprises and our expectations was well met and then some! We met the owners and connected with their warm spirits and hearts right away and resonated with their history and their continuing work of preservation and stewardship of the land and its history.

We both enjoyed the walk to the pond through the pine trees having a respite along the way with strategically placed benches all of which grant the oneness of the trees in solitude. We also caught a few fish and saw a turtle, a few hawks and made some new friends with the local song birds.
The cabins were close to everything and we really enjoyed the peace and quiet amongst the trees in the evenings after a long day hike, sitting on the front porch in the rockers and just relaxing.
If you like nature, the sun glistening through the trees with beams upon your face hearing the song of the trees blowing in the wind overhead, the peace and serenity with the Frontier log cabin experience, then this place is the place to be for your body, souls and spirits, for surely rest, love and blessings are found here.

Absolutely beautiful property! Our cabin was totally private and served as a very relaxing getaway. Walks along through the pine forest to the pond were a great way to start and end the day. The owners have gone out of their way to make this a wonderful spot for anyone wishing to escape the daily grind of work, kids, etc. Thank you for a great stay!

Stayed in the blue cabin. Nice & clean & cozy! Hot tub was great after a long gorge hike. Both mornings I was able to fish in Phil's beautiful pond just yards from the cabin. Very private & peaceful....we'll be back!

My husband and I stayed in the Red Cabin for our Honeymoon in October 2010. The personal touches are just wonderful and we felt at home just after arriving. It's a beautiful walk down to the pond and I can speak first had as to the bass ready to be caught. The trees create a serene atmosphere and you can bring your cell... but don't expect a signal. I recommend these cabins to anyone I know interested in getting away. You wont be disappointed.

AH-MAZ-ING!! Our stay was so wonderful. These cabins have everything you would need. It was so relaxing and just what I needed. Philip is a great guy and his son Ian made our stay even better!!

For our first vacation alone together we stayed in the Red Cabin. It was wonderful! The cabin and the property was beautiful, right in the middle of nature. We saw turkeys and deer from the back porch. We couldn't have picked a more appropriate cabin to stay. Teresa and Mike were wonderful hosts. We will definitely be returning in the future!

what a beautiful location and cabin . my girlfriend and I stayed in the blue cabin; very lovely;just the right mix of rustic history with modern amenities. driving down the road to the cabin is like leaving the world behind ; and the pine grove just outside the cabin door ; kept us looking for forest creatures; the walk to the pond was great ; I think we walked there at least twice a day.teresa ; helped me set the mood with a birthday cake to help celebrate the occasion ; my girlfriend misses the fish we fed daily. ive already recommended this place to my friends and family. great place to get away.

We stayed at the "blue" cabin located at Frontier Log Cabins last week and would recommend if you're looking for a great get away spot, this is the place!! This place is awesome! Beautiful setting with an amazing cabin! They have everything you need in the cabin to make your stay comfortable and relaxing!! The cabin is beautiful!! Also, the cleanliness of this cabin is incredible! The cleaning staff does an outstanding job, the place was SPOTLESS!! Cleaner than any hotel I've ever stayed in!!! The owner and his employees are so kind and welcoming and extremely committed to you enjoying your stay!!! We will definitely go back! Loved our stay at the red cabin. Very spacious, cozy and super clean. Convenient location too. Will definitely come back during a different season (visited late december) to check out the hills in the summer months.

We stayed at The Cottage at Frontier Log Cabins and it was great - it was almost more room than we needed but the hot tub was a god's send at the end of each day and a great way to start our mornings. The kitchen had everything we needed and we were just minutes from town for anything we needed. It is a bit close to the road but we turned that into a game from the front porch, as guess that vehicle, which were few and far between. The Cottage was clean, the towels were soft and we have no regrets! Thank you for a wonderful return visit to Hocking Hills!

Phil was a EXCELLENT host. We stayed in the hitchen post. I used the flowers, champagne & cake order to be in the cabin when we arrived, it was perfect. We stayed 6 nights. The frontier trail down to the pond is beautiful. I have bad bones so going down wasn't so bad but I needed to get back up to our cabin so Phil set it up so that one of his workers would drive us back up. I can't remember her name but she was extremely nice & a hard worker. The cabin was clean, the hot tub was hot which you can adjust the heat temp how you see fit. We look forward to visiting again

The cedar cabin was very nice. It looks just like the pictures. The bathroom was bigger than we thought it would be. Its is right off the road so when you sit on the front porch you can see people driving by. There are trees all around so you are closed off from the neighbors and they have a really cool hiking trail to the pond on the property. It was a perfect cabin for a weekend get away and just what we were looking for.

We stayed at the Blue cabin for a weekend get away. Teresa, the cabin, the hiking, the birds, the hot tube, and the memories will never be forgotten. If you re looking for a place to truly get away from your typical everyday distractions Mike and Teresa have created it, Frontier Log Cabins. We thoroughly enjoyed our two days and didn't want to leave. Thanks to our dear friends, Todd and Debbie, who gave us a Frontier Log Cabin gift certificate, we had a lovely experience we will cherish forever, met Teresa, a very warm and gracious hostess, and best of all, we now know a SUPER place to escape and intend to use it often.

Perfect for what we wanted. Easy to find. Registration and check-in/out were simple. Beautiful, private property. Trees and trail were pluses. Well stocked cabin with all necessary amenities. Exceptionally clean! We've stayed there three times over the years and will return again in the future.

We were so glad that we picked Frontier Log Cabins for our first get-a-way vacation. The Hitchin' Post was a beautiful cabin and the cleanliness was so superb to anywhere we have ever stayed. From the moment we arrived we could feel the cares of the world disappearing. We also enjoyed the hike to the beautiful private pond and spent most of our days fishing and relaxing. When I look for a cabin...I look for rustic. I don't care much for newer cabins. I like the look of the old cabins so much more. They also have so much history that comes along with them. As far as the old 1800's cabins I've stayed in...This by far was the nicest. The blue cabin was very clean, had all the amenities and u can't beat a screened in back porch with a hot tub. We saw deer, squirrel and chipmunks right from the hot tub. If you want rustic, peace and quiet.... frontier log cabins is a must.

What a great place to disconnect from every day life and reconnect with yourself, your family and the quite things in life! The cabins are so clean and fresh yet historic and rustic at the same time. The property is so quite and beautiful. It was so much fun to sit out on the front porch and listen to the forest go to sleep as the sun was setting. Although the forest doesn't really sleep - but the day time birds and animals would come to rest - as the evening tree frogs would start their own singing. I can't wait to go back again next year!

My boyfriend and I stayed in the Red Cabin and it was an amazing time. Cute little cabin with great ambiance, a hot tub, a loft, and two comfy beds to choose from. Felt very clean and well looked after. Hosts were nice and accommodating. Will definitely be back!

Loved our cabin! So cute and we loved the music channel that was playing when we walked in. Small touches like that go a long way. Walk to pond is about 10 minutes and rock house is a 6 mile drive. All parks super close. After exploring all day , the hot tub was a perfect way to relax. Good communication, value, and would stay here again.

We end each day of our "normal" life exhausted. To be able to escape for a weekend, to a beautiful, quiet, cabin, in the middle of a pine forest was my exact definition of peace. No cell phone, no traffic noise, and best of all....no children needing something every other minute! We have stayed in Hocking before and this was by far the best place we've stayed. The cabin was very clean and you instantly felt like you were home when you stepped inside. And there's nothing better than hiking all day and coming back to a nice soak in the hot tub to ease your tired feet. We would absolutely recommend this lovely little place for anyone looking to find some quiet and solitude.

I did some work for Phillip at his cabins. The are very unique and in immaculate shape. This would be an awesome place to get away from it all. The setting is beautiful and peaceful. I would say The Best Cabins in Hocking Hills. Phillip is super nice and you can tell he wants his cabins to be perfect for his guests . Highly Highly Recommend

This cabin was exactly what my husband and I were looking for to escape the hectic city life! It was so clean and you can tell it was well kept, the owners were extremely friendly and made sure that we had plenty of fresh towels on hand. I have suggested this place to numerous friends and hope to come back again!

We absolutely loved staying in the Red Cabin. The cabin was fully furnished and completely spotless. All you need to bring are clothes and food! Teresa, the owner, showed us maps of the area and was able to answer all of our questions about where certain activities were. The Red Cabin is perfectly located for zip lining and hiking. We recommend Frontier Log Cabins to anyone and everyone that asked how our anniversary weekend went. We can't wait to come back for more visits!

I went alone for a brain break! It was all I could want. Authentic log home updated with necessary items. Bath, w/d etc. I loved it. You couldn't see anyone else, just you, trees, birds, and crickets

3rd year in a row...Mike and Theresa have outdone the word "heaven". Absolutely the best place on earth to enjoy the stars at night...nature...fishing....hiking....wildlife...and falling in love. Stay in the green cabin..I highly recommend it! Will definately be back again and again.

My husband booked this little last minute get away for us. It was just what we needed. When we go to Hocking Hills; we always stayed here .. I live the green cabin best because it's tucked away and has a bedroom loft. It's so peaceful and relaxing especially in the hot tub at night.

Beautiful, peaceful, quiet, clean cabin in a gorgeous setting. My husband and I enjoyed our weekend away at Frontier Log Cabins. It was a quick, easy drive from home and although it was in a rural area, it was only a few minutes to drive to any of the Hocking Hills parks, ziplining, and into Laurelville for groceries and restaurants. Loved sitting on the porch to read when we weren't out hiking. My husband missed his television, but there was a TV there with a nice collection of movies for him to watch when we stayed in. Also loved the hot tub after a long hike. My only complaint was the bed was too hard for my taste. Overall, we loved it and will go back someday!

First trip to Hocking Hills...my boyfriend and I I decided to stay here...it was absolutely beautiful....cabin was great....hot tub was awesome after hiking in the parks each day...will definitely stay here again
