Hobson's Bay City Council Review

Rang the lady in charge of animal registrations 3 TIMES to advise that we returned the pet but all I got back was a demand notice for $317 :(
My wife was able to speak with her and said she seemed totally bored with the infringement. Can understand why rate payers feel angry paying the wages of mediocre non performing council staff

Absolute Vultures who will not provide any parking drop offs in front of MSJ and fine everyone who stops there for 10 seconds to drop off their kid who is carrying a 10kg bag. You should be ashamed HBC.

your parking fine issued in a dark & empty car park ensures I won't be visiting your area again. Nothing but revenue raising.

this and most Victorian local councils cant even organize a tea party go north and see how its done there not perfect but they look after the roads all the streets are clean there's no graffiti gardens are kept this group of people resemble a group of Alcoholic clowns that have pooed them selves

I have been very unhappy with the service received recently.

Complained about the traffic problems in McIntyre drive on the corner of Civic parade a waste of time the people in the council are a law too themselves no different to the Victorian Labour government sooner they are voted out the better (disgusting) all of them..

Bad customer service and bad service in the world if some one need to know why you can call me very very very bad

Put bottles carefully into correct bin, came home after bin collected and broken glass all over the floor, which could have injured a child and puntured my tyre

Very bad phone manners they get you off that phone as quick as possible i need help working out my infringement notice and i still don,t know what to do really disappointed

Yesterday we went to the Altona beach with our dogs, was fantastic but dog poop everywhere and no dog poop bags in dispensers. Later went to the Cherry Lake for lunch and a walk and I want to say what a beautiful park. Clean and perfectly mowed lawns. No rubbish and a delight to walk around the lake and see ducks and people fishing. 100% rate to the council cleaners who clean and maintain the Cherry Lake area.

Toilets at beach areas totally inadequate, needs to be addressed urgently, Williamstown

Generally I'm a big fan of our council but we've had too many problems with hard rubbish pick up (took FOUR tries and as many phone calls) to get it picked up AFTER we arranged it this year. And sending out an industrial wood chipper to work outside my window at 7:30am Friday may be legal but it is NOT reasonable nor necessary. You can do better.

Absolutely disgusting service. Been waiting for a council bin for 3 months now. All these calls later and still nothing being done. Pathetic!

Excellent service at Hobsons Bay City Council. Fixed my dads bin situation and received great advice on my Community Service Assignment on Gaps with in our Community. Thank you very much.

They're great at being indecisive and keeping people on a leash waiting for answers.

I was meant to get an answer regarding business within the Hobson bay council instead I get excuse after excuse and the people involved are always on leave. It is almost criminal how these institution are getting away with their lacks and ignorant attitude, it seems to be all about who you know within the council, but as average Joe you do not stand a chance these people. Someone should investigate this council regarding they way they conduct business.

The city of Hobsons Bay is an up and coming area in Melbourne's Inner West. Hobsons Bay City Council is doing a great job. The staff are friendly and helpful. You can come in and ask them pretty much anything related to the area and the staff can assist. The council chambers has public toilets, disabled and baby change facilities available.

Had many problems with this crappy council fining me for my dog getting out due to noise during construction of laverton community center. Pack of rats.

The staff who answer phone queries in the building department are incredibly unhelpful. The first one I spoke to promised to email me resources, and then never did. The second one I spoke to was extremely resistant to providing any assistance beyond "google the building regulations", and had to be argued with extensively before he could be convinced to: 1) vaguely direct me to additional explanatory material, 2) recommend additional contacts for further queries and 3) direct me to someone in a different department who could answer a query that he couldn't ("I am not a receptionist").

Great place that had memories of our late soldiers. Really touched me! Working hard to bring about changes in creative ideas for the city.

I have requested to waive my fine for parking ticket. they treat very badly and never send me any letter. I got another letter saying that you haven't paid yet. You have to pay extra charges. Very bad people. No justice at all. I wish they never grow !!

Great council for Altona , and Williamstown, we pay rates at Altona meadows as well as Altona and williamstown but nothing gets done further out , we have pot holes in our street nature strip guttering never gets cleaned , our sports grounds don t get look after . Pathetic council .
