I have been shopping online with Hobby Lobby for the past 2 years with no problems. I love their products. Recently I had an issue with a damaged order which upon delivery from FedEx, I refused to accept. The package arrived open, packing slip missing, and 15 out of 18 skeins of yarn, missing.. I tried to call Hobby Lobby the same day that I refused delivery to let them know what happened, but they were only taking e-mail correspondence for some reason. It took them 3 weeks, several frustrating emails, and much confusion to issue the full credit, due to the fact that they only allowed e-mail correspondence, and their response time was ridiculously slow. If I could have actually spoken to someone to explain, it could have been resolved the very same day! Now suddenly my Hobby Lobby account is 'flagged' for fraud and I cannot place an order until their credit department does a review-and there is no guarantee that I'll be able to place another order. (I even gave them an additional credit card to try and it was ALSO flagged, so now I know something is fishy...They are flagging MY NAME, not my card). I called their corporate office to lodge a complaint and the response is they will contact their e-commerce department (the same department that I talked to before I called corporate). Hobby Lobby is a good company as long as you don't have any problems with online orders or a complaint....It's been very disappointing, and as I said, I do love their products, but with what I have recently experienced, their online customer service is terrible..Email is NOT the correct forum for customer service issues, unless they can get back to you THE SAME DAY....

I am not happy with the way Sarasota Florida branch has handled an issue that came up at the store. A kid was standing and a display santa many times. I told the little boy are you going to pay for that he said no. I stated well maybe you shouldn't stand on it. The child runs and gets his mother and another adult and two other kids. In fear of my safety I did lie to the parent and stated I only said not to stand on the display. I walked away and the mother was extremely aggressive and threatened me stating if I did say such things I wouldn't of had a good day. I spoke to a person that works there and an Assistant manager both ladies were very sweet and apologized this happened but the manager didn't care wasted my time that I had to explain it again and the two men that walked me out didn't care at all about anything just wanted to get carts seemed like I was waisting there time. I did tell the boys to go I don't need them but they wouldn't leave till I get in the car. Disappointed in the uncaring and attitudes of manager and two men. I was and still am in customer service and you should treat a place of business with respect it's not a babysitting place. I was debating on returning the Christmas decorations I purchased but don't feel comfortable returning

I have to let you know of my experiences with the store located in Sedalia Missouri.
I have been in the shop several times, and am absolutely amazed how you could have a store full of employees that are amazing. I have never met a employee that did not want to help you regardless if it was their department or not. Not only did they help you but they were very bubbly and happy to do so. It makes shopping their sooo enjoyable.
I hope you realize how amazing this stores. Usually when you go to a store their is something that is not quite as accommodating as it could be. Not with this store. By now you can tell I am very impressed with this store. I do not have a family member employed with you, but it would be a great place to work.

I visited the Hoover, AL store this week and was very happy with my results. I was trying to create a sewing box for a gift and received wonderful suggestions from Michelle in the fabric department. She was knowledgeable, professional and very helpful. She took the time to help me choose fabric and ribbon to add to my gift. She is a great asset to Hobby Lobby!

This morning in the rush and crush of Christmas I ran into your store in Columbus GA hoping to get some help with a picture framing project fully knowing that this close to Christmas there would be no custom framing.
I got the next best thing. Wanda. She could not have been more helpful. She was able to cut glass and mats for me while I waited. She was most helpful in the selection process. A perfect transaction because Wanda is very much a can-do helpful person. My lucky day! Though I thanked her profusely, I hope you will let her know how pleased I was as well.

On 1/11/18 about 4:00 p.m. I came out of the Hobby...

On 1/11/18 about 4:00 p.m. I came out of the Hobby Lobby store on E. Broad St in Reynoldsbugh, OH to find I had a flat tire. Although it was cold and misting rain, the manager, Steven Stephens said he would change my tire. He crawled up underneath my car on the wet, cold asphalt to get to the tire that was bolted to the undercarriage only to find that he couldn t remove the spare. So, he took the tire off and drove me and the tire to an auto repair shop. They said they couldn t repair the tire and didn t have a replacement tire to fit my car. Steven then took me to a near by tire store and waited while they put a new tire on my rim. He drove me back to Hobby Lobby and put the tire on my car. He refused to accept any type of payment for his kindness, but offered a prayer for my safe travel home. I am so blessed! You have an outstanding manager working at this store location.

Your company really should have mystery shoppers to see how your Rosenberg Texas location is ran. Have actual corporate people go in and just see how lazy and disrespectful the treat elderly customers. Refuse to be helpful and refuse to even show or acknowledge you when your in certain departments. I have gone to differnt locations that were great. But this Rosenberg location is just pitiful...

If you are looking for a place with a great Benifits dept and great ins, in my option this is not the place to look! The Benifits dept works on there schedule only and they are impossible to get in contact with when you need help or info. The ins they offer has about the same attitude, and would just as soon hang up on you than help or explain.

I have shopped at Hobby Lobby for years, and have always been very happy with my shopping experience, until today! My husband who is a retired, disabled veteran who served this country for 20 years was told that hobby lobby doesn't offer a military discount. Ok, not a problem (it doesn't hurt to ask) but that hobby lobby does give discount to churches and schools. Again not a problem! But what was said next bothered me to write a not so great review. The cashier stated that hobby lobby doesn't support War! The military protects our country, it does not support War either. Based on this statement hobby lobby does not provide any discount to our military?
I no longer feel the need to shop at Hobby Lobby when Michael's gives me a military discount. WITHOUT THE FOOLISH STATEMENT ABOUT NOT SUPPORTING WAR!

An employee named Amee in the fabric department was extremely rude to my sister and I for no reason. This happened at the Hobby Lobby on Citrus Blvd In Harahan, LA. I went with my sister (who is visiting from out of state) the night before Halloween to pick out fabric for my costume and there was about an hour or more before closing. We found what we wanted right away and knew that we would because we love hobby lobby and spend a lot of time and money there.

We went over to the cutting table with the fabric and I smiled at Amee who stood between the two counters, not doing anything. She just looked at me and I was about to set the fabric on one of the counters when she very quickly sneered at me and snapped "that's wet!", I guess referring to the counter which had apparently been cleaned down with a wet cloth, but it was nearly dry and barely wet at all. Even if it had been wet, it would not have damaged this particular fabric with was a plastic blend.

I looked at her in complete shock and she glared at me with an expression full of so much hate that you would think I had done something completely awful to her. My sister and I continued to stand there in shock and Amee continued glaring at me for a few more moments before saying "Over here" in a tone that you would use with children who were being disobedient.

We went over to the other counter which was equally as "wet" as the other one. She turned to us with a stern expression. "How many yards?" she demanded, continuing with her condescending attitude and tone. I said "Four yards" and started glancing around to see if there were any other employees seeing this who could help us and be more kind and respectful, but there was no one else around. "How many yards?!" Amee impatiently demanded again with even more attitude than the first time. My sister told her and Amee snatched the roll of fabric which was in front of us on the table and she proceeded to measure it out while my sister and I tried to avoid being near her by pretending to look at other fabric nearby.

Amee eventually finished cutting it and pushed the $22 dollars worth of fabric over to the end of the counter before sarcastically saying "Thank you".

My sister and I are grown women with manners an professional jobs and the lack of professionalism and offensively negative attitude from Amee is not only shocking, but completely uncalled for since neither of us said or did anything to excuse this kind of treatment. This experience will not be forgotten and I'm not looking forward to the day that I have to return to this Hobby Lobby.

Horrible management. Won't put scheduling out for employees until night before instead of 2 week advanced schedule for workers.
Bad work conditions from management, a very hostel environment for management.
Workers with bad attitudes.
This is not a FAMILY oriented company.
Full time employees are abused by the management, where part timers a treated special.

I just had the worst customer service !! I was asked to move 3 times from from register to register and the on the 3rd move the cashiers said "I'm off the clock now so I'm officially closed" I explained to her I was told to move to her register by another cashier and this was the 3rd time I had moved. She would not ring my merchandise up and I only had 2 small items. To make things worse the store manager was standing there and did not offer to help. Need less to say, I threw my merchandise on the counter and walked out !!

Let me tell you a little somthing I know about this place, particularly the e-commerce department. They are a corrupt warehouse. I used to work for them and found out more than half of them use drugs Including one of the assistant managers that does cocaine, found that out from a coworker. There's definitely some favoritism that goes on here, they cheat the system by shutting off their voicepicks to "keep their numbers up" but if your new or not one of they're favorites, they'll get on to you for doing it, even tho everyone else is doing it. Probably so they'll have an excuse to fire you wich seems to be why they hire so many temps. Then I got let go for bringing up a complaint I had against another manager. Don't work here, trust me.

Your location in Conway, Arkansas is awful. Managers Liz and Reba screamed at me (I was a new employee) because I didn t know the weekly sales and I accidentally forgot about a sale and lost the company money or whatever. And I wasn t trained because the person was on vacation and didn t show me how to do anything. It was a terrible experience and I thought the staff was suppose to be friendly. I mean that s why I joined. But whatever. Will never recommend this place to anybody. P.S. My name is Emily Bridges. I would like for someone to get back with me.

I have to say first that I applaud your company for holding to a belief. But today I had sought out a manager and explained to him that my grandson has Muscular Dystrophy, and that we were doing a couple of Benifits and could he take the fliers and let the employees know where they were. I was told that it is against company policy to put liturature up. As a Christian company, I would think that there would be compassion. At least take them and say something other than NO. Maybe offer a donation instead. But I left there not wanting to return to this store.

This should be negative zero stars because the store managers that represent this company is disgusting. DO NOT under any circumstances leave this store without checking your receipt and merchandise. I purchased A TUBE of VIOLET decorating icing from Hobby Lobby on Manhattan Blvd, in Harvey, LA. When I got home it was obvious that the tube of icing had been tampered with long ago because the VIOLET icing I thought I purchased wasn t really VIOLET, it was baby BLUE. The blue icing was all over the bag and other items I had JUST purchased from there. I wasn t able to go back right at the moment because I had some decorating that I needed to get to immediately. Not only was my time compromised but my decorations had to be altered too. After a couple of days, I finally was able return to the store, the cashier called the front line manager and then the front line manager got on the loud speaker and a called CODE 71 to register one. Two store managers immediately came to the cash register examining the $2.29 TUBE of decorating icing like as if I had stolen it. I mean really made a scene. Because the receipt said $2.99 vs the HOBBY LOBBY sticker that was on the TUBE of icing said $2.29, the manager said they couldn t take it back. I have NEVER been so humiliated in my life behind $2.00. They treated me as if I was a thief. I wasn t the person who entered the price. If you ask me I should have been upset, because I was overcharged for this item. It was my very first time in this store, and my very last time. My money spends anywhere. Hobby Lobby will NEVER get another dime of my money again!!!

I was recently in the Racine WI store. In line at the register to check out. Had over $100 in items to purchase. Wrote out my check and since over $100 the young female clerk needed manager approval. The male manager came over and stated due to my hand writing his bank would not accept my check. I thought it was legible but he was making such a fuss in front of the other customers . I printed in words not numbers again under the line on the check he said was ineligible. Again he said it was not good enough. Embarrassed, upset and flustered, I told him he could keep the merchandise and I took my check back. I called the store hours later and asked to speak to the manager. Low and behold it was a different manager. He said he heard about my situation that occurred when he was on lunch. I shared with him I have an autoimmune disease that can cause my joints to become inflamed. All that day at other stores my checks were not refused or my handwriting questioned. Because someone has a disability you cannot see does not mean its not there. A Christian Company? If I was elderly, in a wheelchair, or had a cast on, or looked different they would probably have been more understanding.
I don't think I or anyone else should have to wear a sign that Announces I have a disability at Hobby Lobby to have them think twice before embarrassing, humiliating, and making anyone feel handicapped. Will never shop at Hobby Lobby again, and will continue to share my horrible experience with this company.

Lawrence Kansas store manager should be FIRED!!! He is incredibly rude and condescending to not only customers but even more to his staff!!! The other people that work at this store must have the patience of a saint! They are kind every time we are there! That P.O.S. (Richard) of a manager should never be in charge of anyone!!! We will not shop here again until he s replaced! Hobby Lobby should be ashamed for having the rudest and most disgusting excuse for a manager in their store!

Hobby Lobby said is a terrible store. I will never shop there again. They claim to be a Christian company but they sure dont act like it. I really hope the asistant store manager (Kristin) in douglasville Ga gets fired. We've had a death (my dad) and a suicied in my family that delayed us in exchanging some items WITH THE RECIPT. But since we are a few days past the time stated in the return policy she wouldn't give us the full amount but only the clearance price. These are not seasonal items. I won't ever shop there again. I am going to bombard corporate until they speak with her and try to fix this situation. They don't even deserve one star but unfortunately it won't post without one.

We order shirts online since the store is closed for a teacher appreciation project. When we received the order we were shorted a shirt. Our local store opened finally and decided to go in to pick up the missing shirt. I was then told that they had nothing to do with online orders and they couldn t help me. I sent two emails to the company and have had no response. I called the company and no one is answering calls at this time. This is stealing! I paid for the shirt and want my money back or the shirt expedited since teacher appreciation is next week. I don t recommend anyone order online from this company. Their customer service is the worst yet!!

The worse part she is training cashiers so they will be just as bad. All I wanted to do was purchase photo boxes but bc the price was wrong she said I had to go back and get another box even the cashier said it was the same number. Horrible customer service.

I recently visited my local store to purchase and item for my son s school project and in the process another item that was on an end cap that was fully stocked of the same product that I had planned to purchase from Amazon, but it was very clearly marked 50% off. There were about 30 items of the same product, I decided it was close to the price I was planning to pay with the sale, so decided to purchase it at Hobby Lobby. Once I approached the register to pay, I was informed that it was a special pricing already and it didn t qualify for the sale price. The sign was completely misleading, why would you post the sign in front of 30+ items, all that were excluded from the sale? Needless to say, I didn t purchase and purchased from Amazon. I tried, The store has a great selection, but poor customer service and misleading sale representation.

They have leads that don't want to help with the buffer and mangers that won't tell the leads they need to help. They get on to the little people for not getting box's done faster. When in reality if they had lends and mangers help things could get done a lot faster.

Job fair for a Company that could careless about you. Stood outside for 3 hrs for a job fair in Tullahoma TN in 93 degree weather in the hot sun. No shade what so ever. This company Shows it doesn t care about the people applying for a jobs the company would not even pass out water or give some kind of shade To people standing in line. After the 2 1/2 hrs the lady decided to pass out applications to everyone in line. She then took the people that had been in line for 30 minutes in front of the others that were there for 3 hrs and brought them straight in for the interview talk about disrespectful and very unprofessional total disregard for people s health. So if you want to work for a company that claims the are Christian based they sure didn t act like it today, make sure you read the disclaimer on the back of the application also because they certainly don t want you to bring claims against them fine print people read it!

The worst, worst, customer service!!!! Corporate are liars just like their management in their stores!! They are suppose to be Mormans and honest people and speak about security cameras, well their own employees are THEIVES! They say their security cameras can zone in to what color purse your holding and what your purchasing buy they say can't zone in to the fabric dept. To see what your having cut or leaving a package behind. I don't believe that for nothing. They have dishonest employees stealing from customers instead of having better customer service of the employee reminding the customer they left a package behind instead they keep it. Hobby Lobby has the worst customer service and huge liars!!!!! If their employees are staling customers packages then they are stealing from their own stores too!!!!

As I do love Hobby Lobby I do not love the customer service I get while in the store. I walked by at least 8 employees including managers in the Taylor Michigan location and not one, not one greeted me, said hello, or acknowledged I existed. There is always staff on the floor stocking so getting help isn t hard, but the friendliness is lacking something terrible. A simple hello goes a long way. At least acknowledge your customers! If the staff were friendly I would give five stars because I do love the beautiful items the store carries, but I can t do that due to the level of rudeness that is received. I guess if the managers don t have to acknowledge the customers why should the staff. It starts at the top and rolls down.
