The Color Purple reinvented! The singing was marvelous!
We have been attending for 5 years. Love the productions. Staff very helpful and friendly. Look forward to each musical.
Amazing staff, easy to maneuver, and just an all around great place to be!
Very clean and nice Venue. Staffs are super friendly.
We love Broadway's musicals, this is our closest spot to enjoy those shows!
We attended a performance of "Book of Mormon" last evening. We arrived at the theater by 7:30 and intended to valet park. It was backed up so continuted to the parking garage. The sign indicated it was full and the only instruction we received from the parking attendant was "Follow that silver car". We had no idea where to
go and ended up at the Tranquillity Park garage. After a very fast walk we arrived at the theater (along with a large number of others ) to find the performance had already begun and we had to wait to be seated. We have attended many, many shows at Hobby - this was the only time the parking garage was full and it was handled very poorly. The show - what we saw ofn it- was great.
Convenient parking, comfortable theater, but the best part was the G&S operetta.
Really enjoyed this venue. This was my first visit but would certainly go again.
Saw a matinee feature of love never dies. It was a great performance. Parking was $12.00 in parking garage. Bistro was closed for renovations but they served a meal in the lobby before and snacks and bar area at intermission. I will visit again. Great experience.
My wife was able to pick up her tickets on Saturday without any issues. Always nice visiting the Hobby Center!
Hamilton was amazing! They have multiple bars set up on each level and the sound quality is great! Pro tip - order your intermission drinks ahead of time, from the bar closest to your seats. They will have your drinks waiting for you on a table with your name on it and you won't have to wait in line.
I don't understand why they check bags upon entering, a la TSA. However, good visuals and sound.
Play was excellent. Food was delicious. Not enough tables and chairs to sit and eat. Inside the theater was warm, made it a little uncomfortable.
Went to see Hamilton an American Musical there it was amazing the place is awesome. Parking was about $12 and right next to it. Expect your visit to be awesome
I went there when MXM came. And the staff is amazing. The old men who help me to get through the people he is so nice. Thank you sr for helping me.
Parking is terrible here (but that's to be expected), so make sure to come early. If you're attending a popular musical or play, wait times to get in and out of the parking lot can reach 30 minutes. Otherwise, it's a really nice performance center that offers decent (if not overpriced) meals at lunch and dinner.
Beautiful facility. Definitely worth going to. I saw the Nutcracker and was already look to find the next show that I would be able to attend!
I always enjoy going to the Hobby Center. The talents of the performers are exceptional.
Facility was very good. Young people in the audience were noisy eating and drinking.
Wonderful... The elevator personnel were also very friendly. Police presence was also good. I would like to see better exit strategy next time, coming out of the parking garage.
We always love our experience here. We have season tickets. They do a great job of managing big crowds and keeping service standards high.
Saw Hamilton!!!! Enough said! I've been to the Hobby Center many times to see several plays and entertainment and I've always been impressed.
Very large beautiful theater with lots of comfortable seats. Very large attended elevators for easy access to the upper levels. Very adequate concessions on each floor with plenty of staff to keep the lines reasonable. Large clean restrooms on each level. Plenty of nearby parking. And very professional polite staff!
Needs more signage for directions to seating. Needs direct connection to the garage.
I usually don't get used to stocking my diesel at these gas stations but having driven all day without having eaten it was the only one I found in my wake and decided to stop to buy something to eat and get some rest but I never imagined the staff of this place be racist with some of us truckers just because of our looks.
This place is great for watching broadway plays. The parking garage is right across the street and they have valet in front of the center. Free valet if you drive a lexus. They have plenty of restrooms and concession stands. The concession stands sell all types of beverages alcoholic and non plus snacks. Although most snacks are not allowed to be eaten in the theater itself. They have great seating with a adequate view of the stage. The seats are a little tight if you are a bigger person so be aware.
So good! Very nice venue with drinks on site. Great theatre!
Wonderful establishment. If you are taking the elevator or planning to valet, put on your patience.
You can buy candy, etc. at the concession stand right outside the doors at intermission... but you can't bring them in to enjoy the food.
The plays are always top notch. The ushers are very friendly snd helpful.
Beautiful theater in Houston! The shows are always excellent and the decor is awesome.
Great Hall, even from the nosebleed section you can see everything.
Coming from Dallas and the ATT Pac, this is really nice. Not as intimidating as that venue
Convenient parking garage, clean facility and restrooms, helpful staff.
Nice performances here. Parking is challenging and navigating in downtown can be tricky.
Best theater in Houston! Beautiful redesigned lobby with phenomenal productions
Always good entertainment and great fun. Was hungry that day and had time to have a bite. Service overall is very good.
Always have a great time coming to the Hobby Center for a nice night.
Doorman very nice guy who helped us with the elevator because we had a walker.
The theater is located downtown Houston. Is a great place to see a show. Parking is easy within a few blocks. Seats are comfortable is view is great all are pubs the theatre
Great place! Very clean and fantastic performance. I will definitely go again!
Good place to sit and enjoy classic concerts. But lacks room between the seats for anyone who feels like dancing.
Best accessability in the theater disctrict and great place to see a show
Great venue -- even with current construction, it's fairly easy to get to and from. Good seats throughout.
Went for a performance of a local dance school at Zilkah Hall. Lovely.
#nice Poe Elementary 4th graders performed. Beautiful hall. Great balcony seating!
My daughter had a performance there and it's always very entertaining to go
We saw the Nutcracker in Sarofim hall. Clean as always, but others in the audience were annoying. Taking pictures, selfies, and video during production. Also, clapping during inappropriate times.
