The Son of Heaven, the Hong Kong people are all dreaming of their children to enter the local university. The campus has a history of hundreds of years. Every building has a background story. Each building on the campus is already a work of art, Lu Youtang, and the headquarters building. You must go and see, its English architecture is refreshing.

It's a good university, but I don't recommend it for sightseeing. It is not easy to climb on a hill, and it is difficult to take pictures due to space constraints. If you don't have a specific reason, I don't think you'll have time to go there, and if you're looking for a place to stay nearby (for example, Jen Hotel), you might want to take a look.

The administrative staff and nurses at the University Health Service are extremely unfriendly. Most of the time they look at you as if to say "Why are you even seeing the doctor for this?" And are very impatient with dealing with you. I can probably try to empathise with them, but even then they are very inconsiderate and unsympathetic of the patient. Service or friendliness does not exist in this clinic. I had very bad experiences with them.

In the old days, it was hard to get to the University, and I was privileged to have the opportunity to travel to and from the University for four years (1981-1984). I attended lectures and tutorials mostly at Kowles Building. It is a lot easier to get to the University now, as there is a "Hong Kong University" MTR stop!

I didn't enjoy it very much when I was a study there. However, the University itself has been a good place. The libraries are great. But limited choices of foods and people working there didn't speak English very much.

The campus of the University of Hong Kong boasts some of the best examples of British colonial architecture of the island. The main buildings are Edwardian and Neoclassical in style, and are attractively disposed on the hillside along the western end of Bonham Road.

Universities were found in China from the 1880s onwards and were usually started by Christian missionaries. But in Hong Kong a group of businessmen felt that there should be a secular university following those found in Britain.

Government Sir Frederick Lugard set aside land for the campus, and with donations from local philanthropists, the UK government, the Viceroy of Canton, and overseas Chinese communities, the establishment of the University of Hong Kong quickly gained momentum, and in 1912 it formally opened and took in the firs cohort of students.

Great University. The teaching and infrastructure is world's best. I highly appreciate the bottom-up culture of the campus life. If you are active and initiative you can benefit a lot by studying at Hong Kong University, regardless what you do.

I am not a student but I like going there. Great bookstore and nice peaceful places to chill out. The geological museum is a nice distraction. The history museum has some great pieces as well.
