A theater not to miss. Professional cast & production at the top of their game!! Fabulous musical performance of Dirty Business. A tale of unsung female spies who used wits & feminine wiles to thwart the Germans. Singing was stunning!! A truly memorable & professional performance! I plan to return. The theater is celebrating HERstory...a production on Gloria Steinham is coming for instance.

Glensheen the musical was a hoot! Good crowd, nice venue. Not fond of the 'gender equal' men's restroom, don't care if it's quicker, I'll wait in line at the ladies room thank you very much....

My husband and I went to the History Theatre for the first time last week to see Glensheen, and we both agreed that it was by far the best musical we've ever seen! Absolutely brilliant!

The place has no real parking or ability to get a parking spot near it. Then we talk about the seating. There are many issues here with actually getting to your seat/ literally no path to the middle upper rows. You have to climb over people. Side seating is easy to get to with paths but you run into missing 1/4 the set depending on your seat and the metal bars will get in your way as well. The stage also has seen better days. Bathrooms are 2 floors down. Hope your ready for a hike.

We have been long time supporters/ticket holders of this great venue. We attended the last week of River Road Boogie - Augie Garcia Story. It was a great show - maybe the best we have seen!

But with the great history of brewing beer in St. Paul (see StarTrib June 13, 2015 Variety Section), we were so disappointed that the theatre's bar was supplied with beers from anywhere BUT Minnesota. We love our Minnesota beers - from Hamm's; to Grain Belt; to Surly; to Summit; and dozens of others. And, we have actually brewed our own at St. Paul's Vinepark Brewing Co.

With such history (see another book "Minnesota - Land of 10,000 Beers), would it be too much to ask that your provide offer the wonderful beers of Minnesota???

Our five star rating goes to the productions - but none for the beer served.

What a great venue! Small intimate theater, great location, fabulous shows.

We've seen with All The Way, and The Great Society and have had a wonderful time on with visits.

BONUS: Nice beer selection!

The show was ok. The music was a thin slice of the role women played in the history of music. Many recording artists we're not mentioned even though they were bigger than the one's portrayed. B-

Ticket pricing has always seemed reasonable. Plays offered are typically unique and creative.

Have had bad luck with drink/snack table: no ones, so I get all quarters [and change] back? Takes 3 minutes to run a credit card. What?!

Plays are Minnesota history based and well done. Small intimate theater. On Sundays after the matinee there is a 20-minute Q and A with some of the actors playwrights directors Etc that is very interesting. Often there are people in the audience that have been directly affected by the history depicted in these plays

Attended "Dance Until You Drop" yesterday with friends who have season tickets. It was fantastic! The dancing was stunning and the live music made everything so much better. I think History Theatre is going to have some new season ticket holders soon.

Fantastic performance by the Fab 6. House was packed, a few empty seats in the very corners. Receptive, appreciative, friendly audience, age tipped a little towards early Beatles fans, bringing children and grandchildren. Ended too soon, I would have happily stayed for another three hours.

Performances here are usually outstanding, which is why we attend. That said, they would benefit greatly from some professional consultation on "user experience" in terms of how they manage the commons space immediately outside the theater (where people hang out when not in the theater). For instance, serving beverages closer to the entrance creates unnecessary congestion that makes it very difficult for patrons of any ability (let alone those with less mobility) to make there way through the crowd. Some additional seating options would also help, further from the main entrance to encourage patrons to congregate further inside.
