Great beer selection, awesome atmosphere, food is simple but yummy. A place we go back to often. In the nice weather they have a great outdoor section. At night on weekends it does get packed and really loud which is good for them but a negative if you want to have a conversation with someone.

Parking lot full, Including parking lot off premises. Only Two Handicap parking spaces on premises. They were full inside too. Once inside it was too crowded and too noisy. Unenjoyable evening.

Hops is easily my favorite bar in my area.

Hops is easily my favorite bar in my area.

That being said, my reasoning probably won't make sense to most people in my age group.

Here are the reasons that I love THC:
Great parking
Large, spacious areas that usually aren't crowded
(relatively) Clean bathrooms
Feels like a place that I would have my 8th grade dance(cause it is)
Decent food selection
Music is usually not ear shatteringly loud

The beer selection is good too I guess. The prices can be a little extreme though.

Huge place with a great beer selection. They have something for everyone on the tap list and even have cocktails for non-beer drinkers. Excellent pizza on site and also a snack bar. Shuffle board, darts, and jenga are available to play. Plenty of parking in front and in a large lot our back. A huge beer garden/hop yard out back for nice weather and special events. Staff is always very attentive and the condition of the place shows it. You always see staff cleaning and picking up empty glasses. They have nice firepits outside as well. You cant go wrong with this place. Great place to meet up with friends since there is so much room and a great atmosphere. On crowded days they even have a parking lot attendant outside.

I used to really like this place, but now they are charging a $15 per person cover charge to get in. They do give you a coupon for your first drink included in the cover charge, and I understand doing business is more difficult during this pandemic, but I feel this charge is excessive and just taking unfair advantage of the patrons. It also doesn't make sense to advertise free to play trivia if in fact you have to pay to get in.

If I could give that 'dump' less than one star I would. My wife and I went there for st. paddys day '18 and ordered there small sized corned beef and cabbage ($14). I took one bite out of the cabbage and nearly choked to death because the cabbage WASNT COOKED and the beef was like shoe leather. Also, the back of this 'dump' reeked of puke. We didnt stay more than 45 minutes......wont ever be back!!!

Met family local to the area here last week. What a wonderful place to try a variety of beers, and unlike most craft beer places I have been too, they also have a full bar! The have food vendors at permanent stations as well which was very nice. Lots of tables and board games around, as well as a great living room set up at one end of the facility. I thoroughly enjoyed sitting there with family, enjoying the beer and food from the barbecue vendor, catching the end of The Masters. I will definitely be back when I'm in town to visit family!

I have been here quite a few times and I always enjoy myself. They have a great tap selection with lots of seating inside and a great outdoor area for when it is nice out. The pizza is good New Haven style pizza, wings are tasty and don't forget about the crepes! Definitely a mixed crowd of college kids, working professionals and families. Parking is limited in front of the building, but there is plenty of parking up top. Definitely stop by to check it out if you are in the area.

My parents paid THC a visit during the Oktoberfest celebration held and had a wonderful time.
I was told that the food was very good, my dad fully enjoyed the bier and music, and that everything was run orderly and that the atmosphere was very nice, like a German Bier garden back home :) :) :)
*And before you ask, both my parents are very close to 80 years old, so this is a place where both young and old can come to for a very very good time !!
I am hoping to stop by soon myself, once my schedule allows me to do so.
If my parents say this place is first rate, believe me - it is.

Great place, good service and selection at the bar. Inadequate parking for its size but the lots are well marked with reasonably sized spaces. Food is slow and expensive but that's not why you are there. Overall highly recommended.

Was in the barn venue and it was very nice aesthetically. Staff seemed very nice as well. I was there for a holiday party and the place seemed very warm and inviting while also having a modern feel. I would be more willing to check out the beer garden, given my experience here.

The place is set back in an area with a somewhat confusing parking lot, but the actual buildings are very nice on the inside. I had trouble findimg the barn, as did most of the guests, but once in there, it was a very cozy area

Hops Company is a not-so-hidden gem of the Valley. They have an extensive beer selection.. one of the best for the area! The ambiance is really nice and welcoming. I was there on a Saturday afternoon so it was a bit crowded, but there was still plenty of seating. One big negative to it being so crowded is that it was REALLY loud inside; I felt like I was legitimately yelling at the person sitting across from me. It would be nice if they broke up their large indoor area into 2 areas to help with the noise.

I was really torn between giving The Hops Company 3 or 4 stars. While it was a great place to grab a beer and catch up with an old friend and that was great... I have to give them 3 stars because there were so many children running around all over the place (my friend counted at least 15 while we were there). I found this to be such a nuisance and an inappropriate setting for the kids.

I love this place. Definitely one of the best spots in the area to hangout and have some drinks. Great outdoor patio, quick bar service, awesome beer selection. This place never lets me down.

Really impressed. We had our company party here (about 400 guests maybe?) and it was such a better vibe here than prior locations. The food was pretty slow in coming out - though I wasn't sure if this timing was determined by our team or by the venue. The bar staff were beyond phenomenal and extremely knowledgeable. I had a tasty pumpkin cider there and got to enjoy the spacious outdoor area. Such a unique fun place for a corporate event and really impressed with the staff behind the bar. I'll definitely be back for a happy hour event.

A great selection of beer with over 30 on tap. THC really shines when it comes to rotating their selection frequently, including an array of local options. In addition to beer and mixed drinks on tap, there are two windows offering food served by local restaurants. New Haven style pizza from Zuppardi s food truck seems to be a permanent fixture, but the second option has rotated a few times, ranging from BBQ to German food. Giant pretzels are also available directly at the bar.

It s easy to sip on suds in the relaxed and friendly atmosphere. The large hall accommodates a sizable number of people, offering tables, high tops, and even couches. Large fireplaces keep the room cozy in the winter months. In summer, the large side doors are opened to reveal a patio accented with a waterfall, as well as a beer garden complete with lawn games.

Great beer selection, but a bit overwhelming, fast moving on the screen, and not organized into any decernable categories. Food is over priced. Love that they have games you can borrow though!

A great place for craft beer. They have a lot of beers on tap and the menu is on plasma tv's that cycle through the list. Only bad is that if you don't read fast enough you have to wait for it to start over. Moscow mule on tap was odd and heavy on the bitters. The dragons milk stout was fantastic. They have two options for food, pizza and barbeque. I hear the bbq is good but didn't have a chance to try it.

This is definitely itely a cool and unique place that reminds me of the beer gardens in Germany. Nicely done!

Good Food, good beer, but not very family friendly.. Manager did not want kids playing the "stand up" games that were in the building, foosball being the one. Tried to play Jenga, which they provide, but was told that it would be too loud if the kids played. Good place to visit without kids...
Thanks
