No visiting hours kept for general public. Ones who know some people here will get the pass for a tour. Not at all good practice this.

Hindustan Shipyard Limited in Vizag is the first and the Oldest functioning Ship building center in India. Founded on 21 June 1941, HSL has so far built 186 ships and repaired 1968 vessels since its formation.

One of the finest shipyards in the country. Perfect Central Design Office to work in a peaceful and cooperative work environment. Main Works unit glides you through a variety of advanced machinery and cranes. The present work for the Indian Navy is a matter of pride. The industry is in accordance with the latest technologies and also complies with the environmental norms. The engineers and supervisors are helpful enough to help the interns with the understanding of various ship production processes.

Iam proud about visakhapatnam is that it is having india's first ship building industry.
But unfortunately it is in the losses beacuse of negligence of indian govt.
Now it is under control of Indian navy and they are maintaining it good.
Before the day of vijaya dasami they will allow the outside people to visit the industry.

new things about ships and naval officers as I like to know many things about naval officers.So I am interested to go to Hindustan Shipyard. It's the greatest ship yard I have ever visited. It's a famous and known Shipyard.

I learned more technics for ship's and I learn more work in HSL and not only me my friends also tried in HSL the employees are very supportive in hullshop 4th bay marker "NADITOKA AACHARI" garu was very supportive me and we are very enjoyed work in 6 months in HSL thanks toHSL
